I remember saying about adding weight/a weight or adding a weight to the rotor to do this exact thing on a siren group.. to give it a longer wind up and down. Its funny to see how some people reacted to what i said and the fact its a literal fact 🙄This video displays exactly what i meant! So thank you for showing this and awesome work, keep it up :)
I see my problems now. I tried having one of these little HVAC motors move a giant 9-inch rotor, and it barely can. If I have a rotor around the same size as yours, they'll probably run really fast with torque to spare. Also, that's an amazing wind-down on that mini STH-10! Great job!
@milespeterson5049 thanks!!! Do you know the horsepower of that motor? The one on my old STH10 is a Dayton 6NZP8A, which is a 1/10 hp. And the rotor on the old sth is 6.77" in diameter. It peaks a little higher pitch in the stator because the STH10 has thin slits for the ports, causing a little restriction on the air and resulting in less drag on the motor. When i tested the rotor free air, its pitch wasn't too far off.
@@nascarsimracing1 I tried using a 1/15 HP motor for my 9-inch rotor, and I can safely say that it couldn't move it. I think if I can just make a smaller rotor for it, it can work similarly to yours! Funnily enough, I used a Dayton motor as well.
23 seconds ago is crazy Im basically spawn camping your videos, all jokes aside this is awesome! Edit: I am definitely going to print this when I get my printer and a stockpile a microwave blower motors lol, the question is which siren to print first Hurricane, 3t22, or Sth-10?
This is as big as some European sirens are. The Elektror S3 is very similar in size, some of them are being installed in smaller towns. The STH/STL sirens must be huge.
@djkarcher1896 yes! Sth10s and stl10s have 24" diameter stators (measured from one end to the other at the flange where the intake bolts on) and they have 20.5" rotors!! The standard full length stand legs are 48 inches long. Intake is 12" in diameter. Very large sirens. Even larger with all the horns on!
@ that's impressive, they must be pretty damn loud. I'd have to fly across the pond to witness one live. The loudest sirens we have in Austria are some Hörmann HLS 573 in Vienna, followed by the Rosenbauer FS8, which to me is already very loud. The HLS blows your shoes off, it's brutally loud, and it sounds like a trumpet.
@@djkarcher1896 that is awesome!!!! I really wish i could experience one of those HLS pneumatic sirens in person. They're very well designed, and hearing one would be the experience of a lifetime!
It's for printer tolerances, the hole size increases by 0.1mm, I recommend printing the tolerance tool to find out what size is best to use on your printer
@maxgamingyt17 you need a samsung DE31-00029H motor, and a 10uf cbb61 capacitor for it. And the weight is a 90mm OD, 65mm ID, 5.25mm thick metal thrust washer. The files aren't up yet bc i haven't finished the redo. Currently focusing on another project right now.
@TheSirenManiacYT the all grey one, yes. The grey/red combo one is why the printables currently says "soon to be completely redone". Once i finish that one, it will completely replace the current mini STH stl files.

I love those sth-10 sirens

Beautiful piece of work by you
@@TheChachLINY thank you!!!!!!
Oh nice! I printed one in my tech class but 50% of the size. I plan on doing more with it. That redone one has an amazing wind down
I’ll buy it for $60😊
@ how
It's absolutely awesome
Dude you should totally do an RSH-10!
ACA HURRICANE YELLOW IS HERE! 1:04
Shhhh 😏
@@nascarsimracing1I heve no 3d printer ACA hurricane 😭
🎉🎉🎉
That second one is ABSOLUTELY INSANE
sounds good!
Sounds good!

1:55 i dont think it should resonate like that LOL
It's because of the weight on the top, which is temporary
HEAT
1:53 it do a lil jiggle
@@mattmakesmachines literally LMAO. Its bc of the top weight, shouldn't do that with the new rotor. Atleast not as much

Nice! I somehow found out the 3t22 damper fits somehow on the old sth-10? But ik thats not how the sth-10 works
Dang i didnt realize its flange fits it LOL
@nascarsimracing1 yea i can try to print it full size cus my dang printer wont print goes half midway thru print then the filament wont free thru😭🙏

@@nascarsimracing1 Same with me with a Sentry 20V2T and a Super Sirex.
I’m the OG I still remember it had horns
Eventuslly im gonna reprint them. Same for the grinder dampers. I want to restore my two OG sirens back to how they were meant to be
👌
nice😊
What paint job would you put in the 3t22/2t22 ima guess is it yellow or just pure red
Waiting to see a dual rotor STH-10 next- jk

Can you tell me how to make this? Like what 3d file i need and motor and weight for motor i need?

What motor you use, also this is awesome!
This siren uses the DE31-00029H
@ ah okay, is the STH-10 in this video the same as the one on your profile in printable?
