I have an 18x36 inground liner pool that has been losing 1" of water daily. I dye tested the returns, the skimmer, stairs and light and no leaks. Just removed the bottom drain cover and noticed a 1.5" Hayward hydrostatic valve that most likely is bad. It looks like I need a tool to remove it which I can probably make out of PVC but my obstacle is air (to breath). Has this replacement been done without SCUBA? I'm planning on trying to do it in a few attempts while holding my breath or is this not likely? I would appreciate your reply. Thank you!
