I told people years ago that because there are so many in Christian music only for the money YHWH would raise up famous people to show His glory. I never liked Metal Music before but Dan has opened me up to a whole new world musically. So far, I have not come upon any of his covers that I WOULDN'T RECCOMEND !! Incredible, one-of-a-kind voice. No emotion, you say? What!? I watch this and feel it from his soul. He happens to be a Christian man. I live in The Bronx, down the street from a Church (Catholic) and we hear bagpipes at least twice a week ( usually an Irish funeral). Dan’s use of the harmonica (mouth organ) gives his cover a Celtic feel. Brilliant, I think that “harp” was given to him by his father when he was a child. I happen to be a devout Catholic and a recovering alcoholic in AA. In AA “Amazing Grace” is our unofficial “anthem” whether you are religious or not. Blessings.

I know I am late to the party here, but as a devout believer and follower of Jesus Christ, this is how I imagine a believer singing and worshiping God. This is what we feel in our hearts when we sit and contemplate what God has done for us, how he has rescued us from our sin. This is fantastic. This is how I imagine King David singing and shouting for joy to the Lord. I say all of this because I want to express my appreciation for Dan's cover of the song. The slow, somber singing of this song just does not do justice to the words and the true meaning behind just how amazing God's grace truly is.

Dan is a very serious singer, has classical training along with other things. Teaches voice as well. Listen to his Nessum Dorma video if you can, it is great. Not Metal at all, straight up opera, and very impressive. His one-man Halleluiah Chorus is also a great listen, his range is terrific.
This is the BEST ever version of this song... Dan Vasc is an amazing singer and performer. He has incredible range and vocal control. He took lessons years ago, taught singing, and has 10+ years of a wide variety of covers on his channel. He records his performance 3 times to get various camera angles and then he edits the videos, does the audio mixing, etc. - very talented, never boring. Dan has a beautiful operatic voice which can seamlessly switch to heavy metal screams. Not to mention that his range goes from high bass to low tenor. And the harmonica sounds almost like bagpipes with the drone, but that may be aided by the added instrumentals.

I can sing in the way most people can ( behind closed doors and pray nobody hears me because it’s torture). I heard a reactor say Dan sings 2 lines at a time, usually it’s 1. His breath control is incredible! The harmonica and his last note blows me away every time! Great reaction guys:)
Another vocal coach reactor said Dan microbreathes at times. You rarely can see him take a breathe and he does sing two lines at a time. Amazing breath control and lungs.

If you fellows are interested in seeing Dan's full-range then there are two songs you should check out. The first one is Gethsemane from Jesus Christ Superstar. He does a much better job than Ted Neeley who played Jesus in the film. That song will show you his upper range. The other song that you should absolutely check out is Bring Me to Life by Evanescence. In his cover of that song he does all the parts, and I mean all of them. It really shows his metal range and it's really quite amazing. I hope I get to see more of your reactions of Dan's covers.

Dan is a very serious singer, has classical training along with other things. Teaches voice as well. Listen to his Nessum Dorma video if you can, it is great. Not Metal at all, straight up opera, and very impressive. His one-man Halleluiah Chorus is also a great listen, his range is terrific.

This is the BEST ever version of this song... Dan Vasc is an amazing singer and performer. He has incredible range and vocal control. He took lessons years ago, taught singing, and has 10+ years of a wide variety of covers on his channel. He records his performance 3 times to get various camera angles and then he edits the videos, does the audio mixing, etc. - very talented, never boring. This is the best version of this song I have ever heard in my life Mates!! I had this song played at my mothers funeral cuz it was her favorite song, But it was the ordinary version plain and drab. Dan has a beautiful operatic voice which can seamlessly switch to heavy metal screams. Not to mention that his range goes from high bass to low tenor. And the harmonica sounds almost like bagpipes with the drone, but that may be aided by the added instrumentals.
I love how raw & delicate he started the song even with the slight echo & with each verse exposing more talent & intensity. Dan Vasc has a God given talent that he has perfected into what it is today. He sang this song the way it was MEANT to be sung with such respect, emotion & with a POWERFUL impact. I FELT the presence of GOD!!! This is the absolute very BEST version of Amazing Grace that I've EVER heard in my ENTIRE life & I'm old (LOL). I had a touring holiday of Scotland in the 90s, and, by pure fluke, stayed in a town holding a Pipe band competition. After competing, they 'massed' and over 100 bagpipers played it. Words fail me. The air was almost solid with music. You couldn't fall. The sound held you. My whole body 'sung'. If you get a chance to experience massed bagpipes play this, do it.

If you fellows are interested in seeing Dan's full-range then there are two songs you should check out.
The first one is Gethsemane from Jesus Christ Superstar. He does a much better job than Ted Neeley who played Jesus in the film. That song will show you his upper range.
The other song that you should absolutely check out is Bring Me to Life by Evanescence. In his cover of that song he does all the parts, and I mean all of them. It really shows his metal range and it's really quite amazing.
