I'm always amazed at what these guys can do with the limited tools they have. The teamwork and experience of the senior mechanic is vital considering the work environment. My concern for the health of the workers is tempered by the fact that they do have a relatively good job in their country of Pakistan. They feed their families and thats good.
What you men lack in tools you make up for it in manpower and teamwork. I was hoping that you guys would have replaced that clutch disc and expansion plugs on the block. The guy standing in front of the engine when you took it out and re-installed it was taking a big chance on getting squashed like a bug. Overall, you guys did a great job.
You'd be amazed how easy (relatively speaking) alot of this stuff is when you don't have any rust...... I'd like to see em pull this off in indiana in the winter

@@aqibfreed4672 If you are putting an engine back together, using the torque specs for said engine is important, otherwise something could come loose due to vibrations, it can take months or years, but it can happen.
I watched one of these in complete amazement and now am hooked. The teamwork and determination these guys show is incredible. One cannot overlook that they pile everything up and yet know exactly how it goes together.
I give it too these guys. They are tough and rugged. They know what needs to be done and they get it do it..Makes my old days of rebuilding my motors in the bedroom look tame..
It’s always interesting and amazing to watch you guys adapt and overcome any problem with resourcefulness and ingenuity, it’s not how we do things here but we both get the same result, hats off to you gents
I wonder if all the persons that say what an amazing job these people are doing, would ever give these people their engines for a complete overhaul? Specially seeing how the pistons are treated with a wire brush,a hacksaw blade , sand paper , rubbed on the ground dirt.
No Milwaukee 18v rachet ???? :) OMG, I know you can point out steps that we call "unsafe" or whatever, but to me these guys are amazing. They do miracles with hand tools.
Never ever forget wearing safety pajamas and safety flip-flops! This equipment has already saved millions of lives of Pakistani workers and many are now reaching the age of 30, even if they are blind or have had their arms and legs chopped off while working.
rattle-can rebuild, all good for another 1500 miles, brand new second hand parts used throughout but fair play it works and works well, "if it aint broke dont fix it"

So many thighs wrong, i can't even start( but for me the mustard jug\assembly oil was the winner). If the engine won't blow up before 200h it's a miracle.
Would also be interesting to know what the bill was for this work? And what it would be in a fancy shop in USA or Europe. Hopefully USAID doesnt get involved to show them the 'right" way to rebuild a motor.
A lot of editing going on here... There is a shit load of mistakes your not seeing... Stuff like leaks, fuel pump timing, electrical problems... Etc... With that piston smashed like that, What about the cylinders and head? They act like they fixed it overnight with a screwdriver and a 15mm wrench... Right?
Was the truck carrying a load of concrete when it broke down? If so, how would they have discharged it, because if it had stayed and become hard, it would have been all but impossible to remove.
Obviously there are NO torque Wrenches in Pakistan??? Obviously one click of the elbow is good enough there,, I bet they don't offer a warranty on their work..... Not sure how they can give that a thumbs up,,, There was fluids leaking out of it everywhere And it was running like a chaff cutter.. I'm glad I don't live there and have to rely on those cowboys.. I would bet that there aren't many trucks with DPFs in Pakistan.
I’d probably bet there aren’t any.
Not yet but im sure they using something else to deal with the issue
@@fawadbadshah7837they will probably just remove them and put them in the scrap pile

Anyone notice that this started as a 4 valve per cylinder, overhead cam engine, and became a 2 valve pushrod??!! Wonder if they give a warranty?!

no time to rust, they rebuild the same engine every 1600 miles.
They would find a way. They always do. Thats why America, & Russia failed to take Afghanistan! 😉

When I was a kid, I'd take things apart and wire brush them and wash them in gas and call it rebuilt too.
new bearings and rings.......... did u watch
Did you follow torque instructions?? tightening schematics?
@@itjustlookslikethisyou would be crying like a little bitch in that situation - with or without a torque wrench!
Fantastic job, from ireland.❤👏👍
48:08 that head bolt is cross threaded and the dude with the impact doesn't give a shit and slamed it all the way in
time for a second rebuild!
one cross-threaded bolt means nothing to these people.
Thats a problem for the next rebuild shop haha
I guess cross threads better than no thread on that 1 head bolt
My eyes were watering, that bolt shall be a righty loosey 😂
I mean, consider it welded.
They should send these vids to all the little girls who cry about torque specs hahaha
Torque specs are important, otherwise the screws will come loose eventually.
Havent used torque specs once in 10 years. Never had a car come back with lose bolts

@Pakistani-Hands What was the original problem that caused a full out of frame bearing and gasket replacement?
Blown piston.
Why are the head studs so hard to screw down ?😊
Imagine what these guys could do with a work truck with a crane air compressor welder and a complete set of sockets and dewalt power tools.
They have none of that but can still do a decent job. All things considered
Why do we never see cam bearings replaced? Don’t they wear also?
