- Is Mayones an instrument ?
- Yes, Patrick. It definitely is.
Noé Brugue 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
That's one beautiful instrument. Bass players get the best instruments...
That thing sounds amazing through headphones. Love the look.
Great demo, and playing!
Yep, it certainly sounds great, and looks cool. But at 34.25 inch, it doesn't need to be multiscale.
I need that bass
If you haven't already, listen to it with headphones. Eargasmic.
Nice looking bass and a good sound.
I’m not big on multi scale, but this looks awesome
holy shit that's the bassist of the Hirsch effekt XD
I wonder why they didn’t use the same pickups as the Viking classic.
The sound is Killer!!!
Well done for going through the different sounds. I would like to see one without the fan frets.
here you go: ruclips.net/video/nD2rHxeQuNY/видео.html
Could have made it a normal 35inch, giving people the option to string it BEAD.
Love the bass! Amazing instrument, thank you so much. By the way, where are you from? Where your accent camo from?
Germany
almost perfect. For me - BigSplits + High Gloss
The pickup cut-outs are a bit rough for a 5K bass.
I like it!
Struggling on either this bass or Dingwall ng3
Lemme know what you did, cause I have a Dingwall, and I wanna know how the V-fret handles low tunings in comparison. I know their scale length is shorter than Dingwall's.
❤️I wish I could buy it 😁
Do you use pedal effect for this video ? Or just plug from the bass directly to the amp .bcoz its sound better than my bass with compressor effect
Somehow reminds me of earlier Carl Thompson basses...
Honestly, first thing that came to mind when he started playing was some Les Claypool stuff. Might be the player, in all honesty.
My wife has those same pants that dude is wearing.....
So the pants turn you on or...???
Brian Lee hell yeah!
WereBass *cums*
PanKakes 50 percent from that bass guitar, 50 percent from those breeches
Is this from the same studio? 'Cause it looks awesome!
we used a black backdrop for the whole session, some more videos like this will be following. I like it, too ;)
@@basstheworldofficial Nice! I loved it! 🤘🏼
I see no man, I see a jent machine.
A perfect bass to have strung: BEAD!
its 34 inch scale..... it wont be better BEAD than your standard jazz bass...
Dima Medvednik < Its B string would be inched 34.25 - check the vid again.
@@pajamasflannel in comments something else is written. As drop c player 34.25 is not enough, for 35 inch i use 125 gauge strings. For B with good tension on 34.25 youll have to go 130++ you lose lots of harmonics
@@pajamasflannel there only real drop tuning 4 strings fan are dingwalls sadly
Just get a Peavy Cirrus. Their 4 strings are made at 35 inch scale.
Eu queira muito um baixo desse!!!!
What bass is better , this or Warwick Corvette Std. They are very close to each other
Mayones has better ergonomics. If you like the sound of the Corvette better, look for a mayones that stocks MEC pups and electronics. It's virtually the same sound as a warwick with that config. I say this as someone who owns/owned multiple warwicks.
👍
Especially on new strings
Mayones tastes good with potato chips...
Cool bass but it would be great to have a demo player who can play more than one thing. I was hearing tones that I really wanted him to bring out but all the muting was just annoying.
What are "V frets" ? Does that mean multi-scale?
Yes
@@basstheworldofficial Thanks, I wasn't familiar with that term. Originally I thought it had to do with the shape of the actual frets, I remember awhile ago there was someone who was designing trapezoid based frets (instead of completely curved / rounded). But turns out it's just another term for multi-scale (or fanned frets). Thanks.
[mah-jo-ness], not [mahjons]
is there really much point in making a 'aggressive' style multiscale bass if you're not going to make it any longer than a standard scale bass? like if you want a E-c bass then it totally makes sense to go shorter, but why bother making a modern aggressive style bass fan fret and not make it longer than normal. i really want to like a lot of these fan frets, but mayones, keisel, ibanez, cort, ect. none of them seem to 'get it' :/ ill stick with Dingwall's for the time being
I was going to ask if there was a point of 34" E multiscale bass... because that's usually the string that doesn't have the perfect intonation. I had a better intonation on a 34" E string with a 0,095 gauge rather than with a 0,105 one.
The thinner the string you can get away with the more harmonic content will be produced, so having a .095 gauge E on a 36.25 inch scale will not only have more tension, but also more harmonic richness, when compared to a .105 34 inch. it is kinda frustrating when so many fantastic makers just miss the mark with fan fret basses. personally i like the sound and playability of a .105 gauge E on a 36.25inch scale, just to my hands and ears that is what works best, i also own a 4 string bass with the exact same scale length as the mayones in this video, and the difference is so apparent it just feels like its missing something.
Yeah it's pointless. Could have just made it a normal 35inch, giving people the option to string it BEAD.
or get something like a dingwall or esp fan fret, or even rondo/brice do one i think, all three options cost less than this and are more capable of BEAD tunings. if you haven't already watch this ruclips.net/video/ai3kpR9lySM/видео.html its a fantastic video from nathan navarro shooting out 5 5-string basses (i know 4 vs 5 string but the video still stands seeing as we're talking about BEAD(g) tuning) imo 2 of the basses just sound flat out bad, like not bad in comparison, just awful... anyways :P
Thomas McAteer Good information. I'm also a fan of longer strings, even on a standard tuned 4 string like my Peavey G bass. It's only 35," but it has such a bright clear tone on all strings I think the extra inch helps. Just out of curiosity, what bass is 36.25?
Awesome..! And we're going to knock down more trees. Where will this stop???
Feel free to buy instruments from compound materials. There are plenty of options and they come with a huge advantage: most of them sound shit
Daniel Perroni shut up
Too modern for me... I tried many of Mayoneses but that's not my sound and style at all...
:O
rede deutsch alter , so ein scheiss accent .
