Just a tip from a electrical engineer. A fuse is used to protect the electronics from further damage in a overloaded circuit (aka too much current). Just replacing a fuse does not fix what caused it to blow. I see a lot of people think that it was just a "faulty" fuse, no, something caused the fuse to blow and that is what needs to be addressed. Great insight for Evo X owners in this. Both cars are great in their own way and the CZ4A chassis is a way better daily driver but the CT9A chassis is much much faster. 500HP Evo X will struggle to keep up with a stock turbo E85 (375whp) VIII or IX.

You want to cut the plastic clock housing, cut the top n bottom almost flush to the face of the clock ( and round the outer, inner edges ) the part that will be touching the perimeter of the gauge. Basically your cutting a circle ⭕️ on the back of the plastic housing almost flush to the back of the face of the clock. So you can slide the gauge into the opening of the housing. Hopefully this makes sense, my explanation might be a bit shitty 🤷🏼♂️ love that blue8 tho🤘🏻🤘🏻🥶
If u haven't upsized your Valve cover crankcase Blow By vents, u most likely need to for the upsized power from stock. My dipstick flew out oil all over. Those stock 1s wouldn't be enough. Might account for the oil residue u got on the windscreen? 2 on the valve cover, to oil catch can then just a pipe it to atmosphere with 1 long pipe to bottom of engine bay is what i done for my 9 tomei 2.2l. Breather filters still makes engine bay dirty oily fyi. Peace from Singapore Great channel
Devin you probably don’t wanna hear this but your issue is possibly water or condensation in the fuse box! Hence the tail light short etc. I could be wrong but try swapping the front ecu relay outta the other evo.
Bought my '17 STI a couple months ago. It's stage 2 now. No problems except for one day I went to leave work at lunch and the car wouldn't start. It wasn't getting any fuel. I couldn't hear the AEM high flow fuel pump priming. Sure enough, blown fuse. It's been fine ever since but I did buy some extra fuses just in case.
I’d definitely check for Evo gremlins. Pull of the drivers kick panel and check that 32 pin connector for water/ corrosion. Both my tail lights wouldn’t turn off until I hard wired it, and sealed the grommet with rtv
the issue with the tail light seems to be a floating ground , the negative ground wire for the light might be broken or the ground terminal may be loose or corroded , try running a wire from the negative battery terminal to the ground wire of the tail light and try it out , if it solves it thats your issue

I had the diaphragm on my Forge wastegate for my sRT-4 get a hole in it and I went full throttle and it was like 32 psi. Luckily I didn't blow the motor in 2004/2005. lol
Lol that expecting something to go wrong is how I am after rebuilding my motor. It’s been about 4500 miles with multiple pulls so I’m not as scared lol
Let's cut into the PCB, straight through the resistors and see if it still works 🤣. Anyways I put my boost gauge in the cluster using the factory spot that says "lancer". You can see it on my Instagram streetlight_raven . Prosport 45mm gauge. For the clock I use a zeitronix controller with their tweeker display. Al little bit of shimming and it fist perfect even with the back cover. I haven't posted about that yet though.

Wonder if your issues with the lights are with the ETACS, my X has that problem and it leaves all the internal lights on

Devin, you should try the P3 gauge if you can find one that fits.. or make it fit.
Witch fuses did you changed ? To resolve you acd problem ?
since your almost done with engine and exterior, you shoudl wrap the headliner and work the inside! could be nice to see it in black.
Bad ground on tail light or the brake light switch? Could be a causing issue with your abs light also
Check the drivers side kick panel for water in the plugs there.

Why didn't you use the blue bolts on the new waste gate?
Also your light circuit could have a bad earthing wire to the chasis...check your connection s..
