@@moboy4779whats wrong with her response? A ‘consultant’ is a very broad job title… Of course the time someone starts and finishes differs between job roles, firms, countries, sectors etc.

Got up at 6:15. Left home at 7:30 am. She doesn't have time to eat peacefully, to do the basic thing in life, and seems mesmerised by the fanciness of her office. Money is fine but what kind of stressful life is this?
No work life balance
In the UK, life is tough. The worst thing is realising at retirement age, you have worked for NOTHING.

Luckily, if you own a house or apartment
Your locality has got worse in terms of overcrowding, traffic jams, noise, never-ending roadworks and road closures, failed railways, pollution, parking problems, extortionate taxes, rip off rents, dirty streets , long, painful waits in emergency departments, unable to see a doctor but directed to a chemist or car mechanic etc.
So while Indians are coming to work in the UK, UK educated people are emigrating to better run countries. If you own a house there, the government will DEMAND 40% of the vakue of the house after you die. Then there's stealth taxes in the form of fuel duty, road tax, rip off car insurance, rip off car repairs bills, speeding fines, parking fines, parking charges, rip off local taxes and so on . Then there's high energy bills and food bills. Watch your income disappear as you earn. Then you will wonder why you can't save for a rainy day, let alone buy a house. Unfortunately, many Indians realise that life is very hard in the UK bit then it's too late. Life will get worse as the nation sinks into poverty. Then to make matters worse, the government is set to raise taxes and stealth taxes even further from 2025 onwards. Also note the UK has a huge welfare bill which is basically money paid to long term unemployed, welfare for children, welfare for the depressed, welfare for stressed people etc. The taxes will have to increase to support the welfare costs. Good luck, work hard, and pay as you live.
Some ignorant people will state that this is the case in most countries. However, in the UK, it seems like a workhouse where everything is worn out, railways, roads, hospitals, schools, housing etc. While elsewhere in the world their government has managed to build better housing, better railways, better roads, better hospitals and schools. The struggle is far higher in the UK.
Yes its not the best but that is how work life is for 90% of the population on earth if you need to pay your own bills

Depending on which company you work for, management consultants work around 60 hours a week on average
In Mumbai most people work a lot later, travel a lot more, get paid a lot less.
Very few know what Work-life balance even means.

The experience you gain working as a management consultant is worth the schedule.
Sir in uk you are committing for 37.5 max a week.. if your colleague is working 60/70 hours a week she is trying to disturb the dynamics of people around her as well. I do work as a consultant and one of the principal I put down is self discipline..

How to have a job where there is a balance. I mean a job where we get time to workout, to prepare Nutritious home-cooked meal and to relax and also get 8 hours of sleep everyday. I know it might seem that im asking for too much. But im still in my high school so i want to get myself a career where I'll get to enjoy these luxuries (yes im saying these are luxuries because in todays world they like that only)

consulting here means business/management consulting (from finance to pharma to similar high level industries). it is nothing like travel consulting- they are completely two different careers

You will be sued by the metro travelers as you captured them on your camera/ phone without seeking their consent. Please be mindful you live in a country were rights like seeking permission is not just civic sense, as well it can cost you a legal case.!
