I think u don't necessarily need to craft cobalt bombs tho to level up imo. At 400 you can go to storm peaks and salvage Library Guardians till 440(at this point turns green). From here go to occulus or halls of stone and grind the last 1 points there.

You’re an absolute madman for suggesting this over just having mining. But I just did the 1-300 mining/herbalism grind on two characters a couple weeks ago and I’m still traumatized, so I can understand people not wanting to pick it up. I’ll probably just go the easier route with mining/eng until 450 then drop it and level tailoring or enchanting.
If your going enchanting there is honestly no reason at all to have mining, I can tell you from first hand experience having enchanting engineering, mining just ain’t needed at all
If you're a tank just saying 450 mining gets you 60 stam vs 63 stam you can get from JC. So if you intended on going JC for those stam gems alone I'd just go Mining and chill
I dropped enchanting for mining and best move I ever did , I’m prot pally so mining helps with stamina and unlimited mats, the money making potential is huge and I’m getting 350 per hour off netherstorm farming now insane reallly
Also note, that if you are a hunter, gnomish eng makes the arrows and goblin makes bullets. Bombs need to be crafted by goblins but can be used by both once made.
Scotte just wanted to let you know that froststeel tubes are salvaged from them also the library guardians in storm peaks can be salvaged for them as well.

Will the guide give u an alternative route/quest to take if you have done aalot of them ? I only have around 5 dungeon quest left total :D
What do you think about this? As a prot pally, learn mining and do this for the first phase along with jewelcrafting. Mining to get gems for JC and store excess mats to either sell or level engineering going into Phase 2?
Thats also my plan at the moment, I've farmed all the mats to level 2 characters through engineering but I intend to keep mining initially for the extra leveling and money making

@@angrypeon4965 honestly if you care about any kind of group content or pvp just go goblin, explosives are way too good compared to gnomish which just gives pretty much useless stuff.
You mean like they did in Cata? Also all of the professions have their pro and cons it's just that those two have their pro in the damage meters. BS is amazing for gold making with the amount of BoE gear you can make. Alchemy has infinite health and mana potions and the Trinket which is pretty good early, especially as a healer, because you get more mana from pots. Inscription is a good equaliser, because it can benefit from the cheapest herbs not needed by Alchemist and thereby has the best profit margins. Also gambling on Darkmoon trinkets, big money in that. And gathering is just plain money making, especially when less people have gathering overall.
Not really because like I said it’s useful for all of wotlk not just launch, this place ain’t going to be farmed for the full 14-18 months of wotlk lol
Scotty - can you comment on gearing if you are going to be ending TBC as full sunwell BiS (feral in my case). When the first upgrades might be rolling in? Is it really going to be upgrades galore in the esrly 70s or will it be near the end when it’s more pre-BiS farming time.

I HATE Engineering and hate even more that everyone pushes it. If it’s that OP we need more changes to nerf it so people can play any profession they want and not be forced into engineering
Problem is that any nerf could easily make the profession worthless. You can't really balance out its perks without making it boring or objectively worse then other professions.
just don't pick it, it's so overrated for the average player the only people who are super min maxers pushing the absolute top dps should care about going engineering not your average casual raider

Tested it tonight on live. Got to 405 eng at lvl 71, 12 froststeel tubes and a jeeves!

What about leveling on a fresh wotlk sever? Wouldn’t mining and eng go great together?
If you're a tank just saying 450 mining gets you 60 stam vs 63 stam you can get from JC. So if you intended on going JC for those stam gems alone I'd just go Mining and chill
You can craft 2 tanking trinkets with JC as well, which both give big stamina.
Or just leave engi till you farm enough matts with mining and be able to do JC dailies asap, not having engi for 2-3 naxx lockouts means nothing.

I'm going enchanting / engineering on my feral so will definitely give this a go
Enchanting on feral is sooooooooo good for green farming with a Lifeward weapon since in WOTLK your Swipe will proc weapon enchants in form

you need Goblin engineering to use the sappers + good bombs
Also note, that if you are a hunter, gnomish eng makes the arrows and goblin makes bullets. Bombs need to be crafted by goblins but can be used by both once made.
Arrows are bis and gnome only so good option and easier to swap in wrath , I’ll stay goblin

Also you geta nice stam buff from being a miner, which is great for tanks
Or also try going mining/skinning till max level, then farm some WoTLK ores and drop professions as needed.

A lot of SWP gear will last till the mid to late 70's and some might be pre-bis just because of gem slots.

Repair bots are very expensive to craft tho. With the pricing on my server they cost around 50g for each craft.

If Eng gets nerfed then other proffesion Will be the best one and everyone will level it. You just need to understand that And play whatever you want
