I´m a collector of fine, old and rare vintage wines and spirits. Today I tasted my so far oldest Armagnac from 1963 from Darroze, coming from the small Chateau de Gaube destillery.

I recommend to you an armagnac called: 'Chiffre 4'. Available to purchase from Chez Madiran. I was in the region of Armagnac last year and have friends there. This is a real bargain armagnac as it is from the years 1939, 1944 and 1949. A blend of the 3 vintages from WW2 era, but they lost the official records so cant state the dates. It comes in 35cl bottle for 90euros. By far the best value for a bottle of such age in any spirit category
