CSX & Amtrak Afternoon Action in Folkston, GA

CSX & Amtrak Afternoon Action in Folkston, GA from Spring Break. Also my first upload of 2019 lol, been pretty busy lately.
While on break, I took a little vacation down to Georgia for about a week and stopped by the Folkston Funnel for an afternoon of train watching along the CSX Nahunta Subdivision. While I was there, a LORAM track ballast cleaning crew was at work in the area, hence why you see Amtrak P052 picking up the dust going by.

I have some questions for you as I am considering a trip to the funnel:
-What is the best airport to fly into?
-Where did you stay? The B&B or Jacksonville?
-Did you rent a car?
-Any good places to eat nearby?
Any and all other remarks and suggestions welcome!

- I didn't fly into there, but the nearest airport would be Jacksonville
- I actually didn't spend the night in Folkston, I was in Savannah and just took a day trip down to the funnel
- I drove the whole way
- I would recommend Whistlin' Dixie for lunch, but is only available on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays 11 am until 2 pm. Other than that, it's the usual fast food (Burger King, McDonalds, and Subway), although I did see some sort of buffet restaurant while leaving, forgot the name, but sounds really good as well

CSXTrainBoy815 Update on this: I will be flying into Jacksonville this weekend and staying here for Labor Day weekend.
