Yeah it's a truly raw adventure until it becomes a tourist attraction over-saturated by travel vloggers and then it becomes something like "well, everyone else has done it, I need to give it a go!" Now this isn't a dig at Yes Theory but I always despise these kind of videos wherein everyone pretends that this is a wild adventure when so many others have done it.
Train nerd here. The two locomotives pulling the train are called SDL40-2's. They're of American design (having been built by EMD) but were modified for export. I believe each is rated at 3,000hp.
Hp is a rate quantity, it is torque per unit of time i believe. 3,000hp really is that much, but the torque it will have will be extremely high, just not a very high RPM. Thats why it can move an extremely high mass, just not very fast

That was amazing, I loved your video!!! I am 73 years old but if I was younger I would consider riding that train !!
real raw adventure that's what I'm all about absolutely loved it.
Same, it's so inspirational
IKR!!!

Weird flex but okhay😆
nice dude, i don't know what that means but yes
It’s crazy how big the engines are on locomotives
Hp is a rate quantity, it is torque per unit of time i believe. 3,000hp really is that much, but the torque it will have will be extremely high, just not a very high RPM. Thats why it can move an extremely high mass, just not very fast
Free Realm 3000hp with a top speed that low means insane amount of torque
I want to do this so bad. Although what you had to go through, the sun rise and sun set looks beautiful. Landscape beautiful. Theres no lights that stops the stars from shinning bright. Wow that looks like one in a life time experience
