//LYRICS
A drop of blood in a river
Swept away in an instant
A streak of light in the summer sky
One that we miss if we close our eyes
Spectral light trails
Crowd the horizon
Millions of lives in an endless stream
We coalesce in our vernal dreams
Let the wind lift you into the dance
Shaking reborn in the hue of the looming moon
Blood red and swollen
Time starts to slow and the memories reversing
The heart heaves it’s burden
But it was no gospel
No gospel
Swaying to the song carried in the wind
Moonlight dances on our skin
Your breath the hymn that parts my lips
And blooms an endless wish
This sabbath we planted
Love is the answer
And there is no gospel
No gospel
Clawing at the gates of dawn
Slouching towards the midnight sun
I’ll hold you, if you hold me
Dancing in the blood moon beams
Wind song creeps in shivering
Sea spray kissing at our feet
I’ll hold you, if you hold me
Dancing in our summer dreams
The music fades, the dream must end
Autumn carved into our hands
But I’ll hold you, if you hold me
Sleeping stardust memory
The only holy book
Is the one inside your heart
And on every page
Your love has made a work of art
Clawing at the gates of dawn
Slouching towards the midnight sun
I’ll hold you, if you hold me
Wind song creeps in shivering
Sea spray kissing at our feet
I’ll hold you, if you hold me
The music fades, the dream must end
Autumn carved into our hands
But I’ll hold you, if you hold me
When the scream at 5:32 hit, the hairs on my arm stood up. What a song
Best song I've listened to in a long long long long time. Will continue to listen to over the years for sure, I have a special playlist for that. Literally have it on repeat and it gets better.
Kino Album of the Year.
I never imagined id get an album on the levels of City of Caterpillar, Circle Takes the Square, or Loma Pietra again in my life.
Screamo bros we are gonna make it.
song of the year.
My favourite song so far, simply amazing.
I think we've stumbled upon something that will genuinely go down in hardcore history with likes of Shape of Punk to Come, Relationship of Command, Jane Doe, etc
I love that you mentioned Relationship of Command because this song made me think of Frances The Mute a bit, incredible song and album.
@@Dwesk Yeah maybe the next State Faults album will be five 15+ minute songs 😆
Or City of Caterpillar, Circle Takes the Square, Loma Pietra
These bros have done the impossible and made a timeless Screamo/Punk/Prog record.
@@Dridgeism it would be kino beyond belief if it happened don’t lie.
@@scottyxscxrs5483Throw Gospel in there. Put some respec on their name
Love The Mars Volta Vibe
how the fk is a 10 minute track this good all the way through
tbf these dudes have been at it for over a decade, so it clearly shows they have honed their talents
Never question Kino, just let it wash over you and realize this happens once every 10 ish years.
Enjoy it.
Praise it.
Gatekeep it from clowns.
All of the songs on this album are so good. I bought a shurt too dude the merch is so good
❤
Can someone give their two cents on the lyrics? What is the meaning?
Out of the lyrics from this song, the line that sticks out the most is 'The only holy book is the one inside your heart'. The way that I interpret that line in particular is there should be no need for external texts or guidelines on how to be a good person, but it should rather come from deep inside your heart. This wouldn't come from nowhere but rather from the profound truths gained from our life experiences. You should want to be a good/better person because you genuinely want to be based on inner guidance and not purely out of fear for eternal damnation etc... It seems that the rest of the song (and the rest of the record zooming out a bit) lyrically builds around that specific line, as the lyrics touch on all our life experiences (good and bad) that shape who we are as individuals. Love and personal experiences are what gives our lives meaning and beauty. My two cents and would love to hear other interpretations! This album is blowing my mind in so many ways, haven't been this smitten over a record since Rolo Tomassi's *Time Will Die and Love Will Bury It*.
it's a message to the band 'Gospel' telling them they aren't the only ones who can do prog&skramz together properly.
@@jppallais5663 Based AF interpretation.
@@ghettohmbrglrThe Moon is a Dead World is still the best material that showcases that sound
@@ghettohmbrglr Yoooooo Gospel finally has some competition. The Moon is… is such a fantastic album.
