Great man of faith this. Many years ago I read his story of life when he and his wife had all they owned stacked in their motor and "touring" around after golf and that much needed breakthrough. God rewarded his faith. Im 52, living isolated 11000km from were I was born. God provided thus far, my wife due any day with our 2nd boy. I struggled through alcohol and other issues and im sober 5yrs by GOD'S grace. Loren, Bernhard, Larry M and other believers on tour inspired me. Today(13May2019) God reminded me about His promises. I remembered simple sermon I heard years ago about looking at what you have and not what you dont have. Were i'm staying in Philippines on a Island the nearest proper golf course is 1000km from here, reachable by plane or boat. I have a few second hand clubs and 95 old balls. Me and my wife's joined income is $480 monthly. I had double spinal cord disc fractures, (L1/L2)....surgery and rod installation procedure done 1987.....Harrington rods removed 1988 because one broke while I played golf. We dont own a car, TV, computer, washing machine, aircon or such luxuries. We stay in ill maintained rented flat on University premises were my wife has part time employment as assistant faculty nurse. Joseph is 3 and Ben due to be born any day now. In my spirit I can imagine most people respond to me, "saying im going to win on the senior PGA tour"......that im insane. 50yrs ago I bet most people told Bill Gates the same when he inteoduced the proto computer. I embark on this journey because God promised me a lot. I cant do this alone and I have gratitude towards my wife, boys and anyone else who are willing to believe with me. Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. I thank You Lord Jesus for being the Word of God.
Calvin Peete is awesome. As a fellow Michigander (he’s from Detroit) I’ve heard a lot about him and I’ve even played some courses he played a lot when he was still alive that are in my area. Rackham, Pontiac CC (both excellent courses). Breaks his arm and is permanently bent and still wins 12 pga golf tournaments. There will never be another man like him. By the way, where’s Tommy Gainey? His swing is A LOT worse that some of these guys!
Coming into this video and seeing these amazing pros achieve success with their own unique swings has made me reconsider working on my swing to make it look like everyone else on tour, especially considering I don't have the money or time on my side. Maybe I should just rock mine and hone it for what it is rather than fighting my natural tendencies. Debating what will help me achieve the best long term success in golf.
Same!!! New to the game and practiced for 7 months, couldn’t get my swing release looking like the standard tour pro, despite getting my low point correct and learning shallowing and correct acceleration. Recently embraced my swing and devised my own aim/setup that allows me to hit towards the intended target with enough power and distance!!
I used to love watching all the different swings on the PGA Tour. Now 90% of those guys swing the club identically. I ended up on this page because Hubert Green passed away today, so I was looking up vids of his swing. RIP.
Lovely video content! Forgive me for chiming in, I would love your initial thoughts. Have you considered - Paneevelyn Swinging Clubsman (google it)? It is an awesome exclusive product for revealing an effortless golf swing technique without the headache. Ive heard some super things about it and my mate got astronomical results with it.
Just started playing, and I definitely don’t look like a “golfer” - this video gave me a lot of hope. Looks like there’s no right way to swing a club, as long as you’re accurate, and consistent:)
It's amazing how textbook convention goes out the window and you can still be a world class player. Everyone has a slightly different swing due to biomechanics and yet it just works for them. Its really impressive actually.
This is really cool. I want to start golfing but I sustained a gunshot wound to my left elbow. My nerve is really messed up but is healing slowly however the fracture was in many many pieces and my arm will never be straight. Calvin Pete’s story at 2:17 is really awesome
I agree. Also interesting is that he didn't start playing until he was an adult, when some work buddies dragged him to a driving range. Then, he was hooked.
Just goes to show there is no "standard" swing. There may be an "ideal" swing, but with some many different body types, and athletic abilities, it's all about getting as close to the ideal as possible, while maintaining what works for you. I've had a little bit of a "Bubba Hop" for years, and every time I try and fix it things go badly. I'll stick with what works.
Furyk - No 4 all-time on the tour with nearly $70 million (plus the $10 million for winning the Fed Ex, which is not included in all time winnings) plus millions more in endorsements. Driving ranges at every course in the country are filled with pretty swings, and many of those clowns can't break 90.
My dad played in tournament once with Chuck Barkley. It’s much worse in person. Eammon Barkley was on the list of top 10 weirdest golf swings on the Golf Channel. The infamous chicken wing. Nancy Lopez had an odd swing as well. She did an interesting move with flicking her wrist. But, Dottie Pepper mentioned that her coach (like Furyk) was always her father. And, if it’s not broke, don’t fix it. I always thought that Thorpe’s swing looked painful.
I was at the then named Sammy Davis Junior Classic in Connecticut, back in mid-70’s (now The Travellers). It was extremely hot and Hubert Green came close to me (I was 13 or 14 years old). I said, it sure is hot isn’t it Mr Green? And in his Alabama drawl he replied, maan this is coool. Something I‘ll never forget!
This just shows that the PGA Tour doesn't take these videos seriously. Since it is "all-time", all the swings would be from older players who didn't have teachers and had to figure it out on their own. But the obvious #1 is Ed Furgol. He won 5 times on Tour as well as the 1954 US Open with a withered left arm that was permanently bent at 90 degrees.
You have to go back a couple of generations, as all of the current pros swing almost identically. They don't have any style. Can't stand watching this current crop. All the old school players had their own style that they developed over time,. All the new guys have studied with the swing gurus who churn out a bunch of robots.
I think that Matthew Wolff and Bryson shoud be on this list, but they weren't pros yet when this video was made. And Fred Couples' "lazy" swing is pretty unique also.
Through these great golfers, they are all different each other. it is clear there is no right foam for all. You should find your comfortable foam after some time, and develop your own through understanding yourself.
I remember a golf magazine saying that his backswing was lightning fast. BTW Green described how he met his first wife, he was hooking and she was in the left rough.
His band swing move is very similar to Ryan Moore and not dissimilar from Couples Furyk Trevino and Miller Barber even Kenny Perry. The idea of lifting the club obove the plane is nothing new. Eamonn Darcy is an extreme case. Amateurs swing around the body under the plane and this is the death move.

Did you subscribe?
What I took away from this video was that the oldest rookie in PGA Tour history was 46...So you're saying there's a chance!

YoeyYutch the window of opportunity is much longer in golf than any other sport, which is why I love it.

I use these swings too. All of them, on one single 18-hole course. I don't really know what I'm doing🤷♂️
Sesche you and me both
Life
So what i'm seeing is that a swing doesn't have to be 100% to the books, it's what works for you and what gives you the best shots
Pretty much
If you slowed them down, they would all be very "textbook" through impact. Which is where it matters.
@@Jayps87 this
yes, thank you for defining “unique”
Wrong. They all have perfect connection at impact with good club head speed. What's done in-between that doesn't matter

@@OrvinReyes make sure you have good fundamentals. Copy LPGA players' swings. Unless you are very strong, young, and athletic.
what about Happy Gilmore?
Allen doyle 😂😂
I was in a tournament and one of the players was warming up and tore his groin doing happh gilmore
grizzly adams did have a beard

PGA IS MY FAVORITE TOUR TO WATCH SO COOOOOOLLLLLLLL FOLLOW THE TOUR !!!!
These players know their swings so well and know exactly where the clubhead is at all times. To each his own.
4:16 - That slo-mo swing is oddly satisfying to watch :)
same
Moe Norman needs to be on this list. No questions asked.
i thought for sure hed be # 1 but hes not even on it at all!
He was on the Canadian tour, I don’t think he ever actually held a PGA tour card
Kevin Tieu the greatest player to ever hold a golf club
Yes
@@Beanman1999 He played a year in the PGA, also a few years of Senior PGA

Well yes and no there all the same through impact
Moe Norman played briefly on the PGA Tour so he should definitely be on this list.
His swing is not strange nowadays as many golfers using Moe's SPS , me too.
Jim Thorpe swing had me laughing...whatever works.
Charles Barkley ? Lol jk
+Haloxgears lol seriously haha
Barkley is the essence of persistence!
It's great to check out their special qualities. But good to stick with the basics. To prevent injury
Just goes to prove it doesn't matter how you get to the ball as long as it's square or how you finish.
Strapper Nick except the club face was never square for someone like Trevino
No it doesn’t ....
Paulonbass75 you’re proving my point
It's amazing how textbook convention goes out the window and you can still be a world class player. Everyone has a slightly different swing due to biomechanics and yet it just works for them. Its really impressive actually.
tommy gainey's swing would surely top my list
Spiritual golf. Thanks 🙏🏼
Bye Arnold the legend :(
Tim Random did he die
cameron s no longer
PGA TOUR IS ON FIREEEEEEEEEE WATCH PGA GOLF NOW
Love this....especially Daly.
Please add Papwa from South Africa 👍🏼
Yes Papwa Sewgolum should definitely on this bucket list
So unique swing list. Cool
Moe Norman... simple, effective and also easy to adapt if you are limited in motion.

Calvin Peete's "80% fairway" is a bloody fantasy stat
I swear my swing looks better than all of these.
The results, though, are quite different...
Miller Barber, Charlie Owens, Ray Floyd are some more.....from the "classic" swing era.
where can i find more video of hubert green golf swing
Golfer mentality:
"I'm bored...what should i do?"
*a few moments later*
"Give it a good whack"
hubert green’s swing reminds me of rahm’s
Add Matthew Wolff and Hosung Choi to that list.
Quand je le regarde au ralenti, c une vraie gestuelle, puissante et harmonieuse! Cela donne envie de continuer, perso ! Vraiment magnifique!

Rory should be on here too his head dip on his driver swing is crazy
Beautiful swing
Ah, I had a feeling who #1 would be and I was right! ;)
+PkGam Ive been thinking where the f is Jim the whole time
+王大震 lol
A perfect video to totally mess up my swing now. Lol
What - No Raymond Floyd?
Eamon Darcy? I know he ain't PGA. But that shit was weird
But he was also very successful. As you can see. Pretty looking swings are not always productive. 😉
Very Good!!!
Hello??? No Raymond Floyd?
This vid gives me hope

Watching this I just noticed that Arnold Palmers swing, particularly the follow through, is really similar to Moe Norman 's.
. . . both SENSATIONAL strikers of the ball. . . . there could be something in that!
I love furyks swing i can see where he gets that power shifting his hips like that.
Something all these players have is open hips at impact, probably the most vital part of the swing to make a good player. Furyk is crazy open
My dad played in tournament once with Chuck Barkley. It’s much worse in person.
Eammon Barkley was on the list of top 10 weirdest golf swings on the Golf Channel. The infamous chicken wing. Nancy Lopez had an odd swing as well. Would you throw Fred Couples in there also? I don't see anyone these days who swings like him?
Saw Thorpe up at Sonoma years ago. Whoa! I will say one thing, he is hella strong guy. Swings the club like its a little kids toy club.
Basically, swing your swing if it feels good to you and works. Don't overcomplicate if something works well for you.
I love Peete's swing, that bent left arm makes it so graceful.
What made him so accurate. Lee Westwood has the closest left arm to Peete.
I was at the then named Sammy Davis Junior Classic in Connecticut, back in mid-70’s (now The Travellers). It was extremely hot and Hubert Green came close to me (I was 13 or 14 years old). I was waiting for mathew Wolff at no. 1 .....
You would think allan doyle would have a run up hin his swing? Like if you get it.
matteen mashal Yes Happy Gilmore we get it!!!
Need a special or doc on Calvin Peete. Is it my fault I rarely see footage of him?
This just shows that the PGA Tour doesn't take these videos seriously. Since it is "all-time", all the swings would be from older players who didn't have teachers and had to figure it out on their own.
But the obvious #1 is Ed Furgol. He won 5 times on Tour as well as the 1954 US Open with a withered left arm that was permanently bent at 90 degrees.
Make an updated one
David Feherty said Jim Furyk looks like he is killing a snake in a phone booth.
That's the Funniest Golf Joke I've Heard in a Long Time...Hilarious!😂💡😎
and the great Jim Murray said he'd seen more elegant swings from a guy fighting off a swarm of bees.
Paul Azinger had that Hogan swing
Moe Norman, Dechambeau, happy, and Barkley all need to be on here
Wouldnt say Jimbos swing home made plus he has dad as pga pro so they definitely knew what they were doing 4:10
Should have mentioned Jim Furyk has a Double over Lap grip
Yeah adds to accuracy. I use a triple overlap on chips and pitches
Going back couple of generations: Gay Brewer, Doug Sanders, Miller Barber, Ed Furgol

I LOVE John Daly's swing
I HAVE John Daly's swing
I used to think John Daly had an odd swing until I did a video of my swing. Until then, I had no idea that I was doing the same thing on my backswing.
Look up Matthew Wolff
My back hurts just watching some of these
I think that Matthew Wolff and Bryson shoud be on this list, but they weren't pros yet when this video was made. And Fred Couples' "lazy" swing is pretty unique also.
I was expecting Jim further being part of this video but having the first 9 someone else I wasn't expecting him but turns out he was in numero 1
As long as your impact zone is consistent, the rest doesn't matter.
Didn't Eemonn Darcy play on the PGA tour??
No. He played on the European Tour.
You should make another with Matthew Wolff
Needs to be updated with the newest PGA Tour winner Matthew Wolff.
I've got a helicopter finish to my swing when driving. Feels natural to me.
Hubert Greene has a modern aggressive two plane swing.
No Iaso Aoki or Bryson Dechambeau??

How about Miller Barber.
I never realized how narrow Furyk's stance was until now....
Where's Miller Barber? He had a pretty unusual swing.

Hubert Green - what a legendary awesome swing! 2 Majors!!!
I remember a golf magazine saying that his backswing was lightning fast. BTW Green described how he met his first wife, he was hooking and she was in the left rough.
alright Hubert Green is my favorite golfer ever just because he played a round with a cowboy hat. what a SAVAGE.
John daly a great short game.

surprised me too!
Josh Broadaway has the most unique swing and playing style ever

Matt Wolff has a unique swing. I know this was made before he turned pro, but it’s unique
