I was watching Bill Murray at the AT&T. He was on the green, 20 ft away, and bet everyone $1 he would make it. He waited until everyone held up their dollar, sank the putt, and then walked around and collected every last single one.
Yeah, that's what I was thinkin. he get's a laugh just for sayin he heard a joke. And did he say "wroted". I don't think that's a word but I'll let Bill get away with it haha
I am a huge John Denver fan and I had no idea that he was a golfer...to see him appear out of nowhere in this video and make a great shot was a lovely surprise
For some reason I kept thinking he was the one that crashed his plane near the golf course I go to all the time but I guess I was thinking of Stevie Ray Vaughan that crashed into the ski slope, this guy crashed into the side of a mountain in cali... hmm man there really have been alot of deaths of famous ppl in smallish planes 🤔 😕
I love the Joy Tony Romo gets from golf, and when him an Jim are in the booth calling football games how many times they reference their love for the game
I used to go that tournament when I lived in SF years ago. I always followed Bill Murray for as long as possible. He's fantastic, never stops and is always finding fun ways to interact with the fans. It's crazy to see how well he plays despite not concentrating on gold until about a second or two before hitting his next shot.
He's a solid player. I've seen him at Pebble Beach a few times. Nice guy too, acknowledges you with a smile if you say hi. He likes to surf there as well, especially at Ghost Trees.
@@elmalloc not sure how you figure that. Steph is always mentioned in some of the top 5 PGs of all time. Also im also not sure how your comment makes sense
All professional athletes are ridiculously athletic. They just know how to use their body. I played in a group behind Hyun Jin Ryu once and dude was bombing 330 yards drive on every hole. He’s a pitcher! 2:59 love how that caddie has cable guy in his back
There’s a tournament called the American Century Championship where celebrities are invited to play. Also the PGA tour does one as well if i’m not mistaken. They’re usually just for fun.
You have to be a experienced golf enthusiast and a player with a decent handicap, or index to play at Pebble Beach, for example. They don't want hacks who know nothing of etiquette, rules, golf playing norms, or ones that shoot a 10+ on every hole. Too distracting and time consuming for a good golf round flow. A Pro-Am is usually played on a Wednesday before a tournament, but Pebble Beach ( the most famous Pro-Am ) and a few others have pro's and their armature partners playing together everyday, unless they miss the cut.
What an incredible Cinderella story! This unknown, comes out of nowhere, to lead the pack...at Augusta. He's at his final hole. He's about 455 yards away, he's gonna hit about a 2 Iron I think. Oh, he got all of that. The crowd is standing on its feet here at Augusta. The normally reserved crowd is going wild... for this young Cinderella who's come out of nowhere. He's got about 350 yards left, he's going to hit about a 5 iron it looks like, don't you think? He's got a beautiful backswing... That's- Oh, he got all of that one! He's gotta be pleased with that! The crowd is just on its feet here. He's a Cinderella boy. Tears in his eyes, I guess, as he lines up this last shot. He's got about 195 yards left, and he's got a, looks like he's got about an 8 iron. This crowd has gone deadly silent... Cinderella story, out of nowhere, former greenskeeper, now, about to become the Masters Champion. It looks like a mirac- It's in the hole! It's in the hole!
Hey PGA -- you left a good one out. Albeit technically not an excellent shot, one worth including was the one where someone (Bryant Gumbel, I think) killed a flying bird with a drive at Pebble during the AT&T a while back -- in the 90's?

It’s nice to see the celebrities actually celebrate a good shot, unlike the PGA pros they act like nothing happened hahah
gotta keep focused
They hit shots like that all the time in practice that’s the issue lol
Yeah it’s probably people skills or the ability to copy them
It’s because it’s their jobs
People really caring about celebrities has issues

I love seeing athletes excel in sports outside their own. So cool
I love how they were saying how great of a shot Tony Romo had like he didn't just hit it onto a raised dining area.
yeah, well Phil Mickelson did that two days in a row and I don't see anyone shitting on that guy...
tony romo could of had his own highlight reel to be fair, he played some good golf

His footwork is really nice too

"Take sucka dat Chuck"- best thing I've ever heard
Do you have the timestamp for that?
Kelly Slater playing golf. We've come a long way. 😅😅😅😅😅

Tom Brady and Steph Curry’s shots were unreal 😳
3 things...
#1 - These are some really great shots
#2 - The pinny on Larry the Cable Guy's caddie.... "Cable Guy" lol
#3 - I miss John Denver.
I’m a giants fan so naturally I have no love for Romo on the football field. I can’t help it though. I do like him on the course.
These shots are awesome
Bill murray: I heard this joke yesterday...

Man those American football quarterbacks can golf!
Some people are just good at life.
Didn't Michael Phelps hit an insanely long putt at an event once?
Yes like 150 ft putt from short of green.
Tony Romo built different
I wonder how good he would have been if he'd gone after golf his whole life instead of something to do between football seasons.
You missed Michael Phelps putt from a different time zone
My great uncle is Roger Clemens travel agent and taught him how to putt like that! It improved his game tremendously I’ve been told

Where is that Michael Phelps longest putt ever ? I saw in another video, he holed a massive long putt from the fairway and into the hole.

was phelps’ 160ft putt not on the PGA tour or something?
