My son and I heard this the first time while driving about a month ago. It became the anthem for our father-son road-trip from Virginia to Alabama and back. When we returned, we found the video and were not disappointed with what you put together for the song we have grown to love. Very powerful all around. Eric Church was one of the best and most memorable concerts I have ever been to. He plays with heart and soul, not a corporate sellout.

Well... the teacher comment is very political. It's a leftist stance. In reality, teachers in the US are paid far more than teachers in other countries. The US spends 5-10-20 times what some other countries do (per student) while other countries consistently produce smarter kids... if anything, US teachers are OVER-paid.

Teachers are the last people that should be unionized to "protect themselves". The teacher's union widely decides the curriculum. Their pay should be performance based. This song embraces the negative impact of violence in many of our inner-cities and the lack of awareness to it. Music is a perfect avenue to showcase the wrongs being done to our youth at the hands of criminals and thugs. We must embrace the bad along with the good.
