Love YJ's. I have an 87 that is my wheeling rig!!! I would keep the flares on the green one and trim them back.
jeep looks great dale. orange and black great combo don't forget to paint the word jeep on the panel . thumb ups.
Hey man, you’re probably my favorite page on YT and I know that I have much to learn from you but I thought I would give my 2 Cents. In a situation like this where you cannot mess up (situations varying) but a very good way to avoid a drill skip is to take a punch, and Tap the spot where you’re drilling to avoid scratches like the one you had (though it was an excellent learning experience for us)
Thanks William! I'm always open to constructive feedback. Thank you
Cool installation video 👍
I like to put Dupli-Color Bed Armor with Kevlaron the visible painted areas inside the fender flares.
It's very tough and helps prevent rock chips (aka future rust spots), plus gives the illusion you trimmed those areas for offroading.
That orange and black go awesome together btw!
PEEJ is coming along really nice Dale . Sorry about your little mishap with the drill bit , but you recovered nicely . Looking forward to your next video sir. Have a great weekend.
Thank you! It worked out
When you put the trim on, leave the red tape in place until you have the trim all in place. Then pull the red tape. I also have the 6" same flares on my Jeep and love them too.
I think they’re fine for the price. Not high end, but do the job and the price is right
@@JeepSolid The price is especially nice when the previous owner buys them and installs them.
Your yj is awesome. Your tips and information has been very useful.I have a new ecodiesel gladiator and a 1999 tj. I love them both and I empty every pocket on both. My wife of only a couple of yes never went off roading . Now she is hooked and can rock crawl them. She is always asking where else can we go use them.
That’s great!
Brilliant upload my friend.
Have a great weekend.
Thank you
My YJ has the body off right now and I am thinking that ORANGE might be the new colour!
Yes! It was pretty bold before accessories were on. Looking really good now
missed you today, was really looking forward to saying "woopsie daisy" great recovery tho, you can't see it if you don't know it's there!
Haha! Thank you. It's looking much better
good job love TJ
my suggestion would be fit the flares, and drill your holes before you paint. same with any kind of fabrication. that way its all sealed after you paint. primer, unless its epoxy primer, will not seal bare metal from moisture.
Excellent tip
Nicely done.
Thanks!
Put some 37" tires on it. Wheel the Rubicon Trail.
Haha! Maybe…
Where can I get a windshield-work-table?
tbh I would expect more than 10 years out of those for the money
10 years of hot summer sun on them is pretty rough. Gets well over 100 degrees here where I’m at, and the sun is brutal at degrading things… it may last longer where you’re at?? Or if you’re better at using some uv protection during the summer.
Looking GREAT! What is the project name on this Orange one? Remembering "Fungus" LOL
Haha! Yeah, Fungus was a good one. This one I have called PJ, for project jeep. But now maybe something else may be for fitting for the orange color?
Anyone painted those flares to match the body , concerned about it peeling later on.
Sheeesh
