Hi Sarah, just a suggestion - would love if you made the finish a bigger talking point. As a male who doesnt wear makeup, the finish is the most important consideration for me as i dont like shiny dewy finishes. Anyways thanks for the video!
Not Sarah but I am a sunscreen junky married to a man who needs to wear sunscreen but HATES shiny sticky sunscreens. The 2 he is currently willing to wear are Trader Joe's Daily Facial Suncreen and Bull Frog Ultra Gel. The Bull Frog is shiny for about 10-15 minutes but dries down to a not sticky feeling. The TJ's is a dupe of SuperGoop's Unseen Sunscreen but it's about 20 bucks cheaper.
Same! And still searching for a holy grail. Have you had any luck? I find that Korean and Japanese sunscreens with "Milk" in the name tend to be matte, but they are also mineral sunscreens that leave a white cast on me. Hoping to find a good chemical one.
I think Korean sunscreens are the envy of the world. The drama involving inadequate SPF there is old news now. I’ve moved on. Nothing comes close to the comfort and price of their formulations as far as I’m concerned.
Korean sunscreens have been my best anti-aging product. That is because I like their filters, I like their level of protection, I like that I have found products that work for me, I happily wear the full amount daily and even reapply during the day to maintain the level of protection. Most importantly, please stop marking Korean sunscreen manufacturers down! I believe that because of the past issue, Korean sunscreens have been under greater scrutiny, which led manufacturers to increase testing and even send their product out for third party testing. Many times can review the results of the testing, like how much more than 50 is the product or what value is a products four +’s based on.
Ooo I’m very interested in this one! Yeah I’m happy to use a Korean sunscreen. I don’t like using US ones - stinging or thick and inelegant. I will have to try this one next time I do a K beauty order.
The Korean sunscreen debacle was three years ago. They have pulled the products and corrected testing measures. Korea is also not the only country that had spf issues. It’s time to move on.
Love Cosrx as a brand. I use a few of their products. I'll probably add this to my cart. I do like one of their other sunscreens. I think Korean labs are working hard not to screw up again. So I don't think they should lose a point. Looking forward to my giveaway!! Thanks again to you and Cameraman!! Kisses to the puppies!!🐾🐾 Many blessings!💖💖💖
I didn't even know this one came out! I'm looking for something that won't irritate my skin, and this sounds extremely promising. Looking forward to trying it, thank you for letting us know!
Would be great to do a water resistant korean sunscreen. Who does't sweat in the summer?! Seems like that should be the better choice for summer day-to-day sunscreen.
Very good point! Off the cuff, nothing comes to my mind, a few JBeauty ones though do - Anessa, Kose, Biore, and Missha - but I think those are all Japanese brands. I'll have to think about this one!
Hi Sarah would it be possible for you to compare the texture and finish of the Cosrx sunscreen to those of the other sunscreen dupes you mentioned? Which one is the most lightweight and has the least dewy finish? Thank you!
Good question! I would say the Barr has the "dewiest" finish of them all. The Cosrxx and the Round Lab SPF's are probably the lightest and least dewiest of them all. It is pretty close between those two, I would probably say the Cosrx is just a touch less shiny than the Round Lab, but just a touch. The others are somewhere in the middle. If that is an important factor I'd probably recommend either the Cosrx or the Round Lab.
I'm a big fat dork! Yep, I ordered it from Yesstyle. Nope, the ingredients weren't uploaded to incidecoder yet. I didn't pay attention when you said them. It has aloe, and for some stupid reason, my skin doesn't like aloe. Well, at least I ordered a few more with your discount😁💗Thank you🥰
It is funny because my sister in law is allergic to aloe, which I never knew was an ingredient that many people were sensitive to. It is in a lot of products, keep me posted, maybe it will be okay since it has a smaller amount.
Sadly I can't afford to purchase so much that I forget about products. Curious do you get discounts? I know you pay for you're own products but it can't be cheap testing so many. I'm currently using P. Calm Water Barrier Sunscreen and I'm loving it. So much that I don't want to try anything else. But I do need a backup of the P. Calm.
Oh also! Have you tried the new Neutrogena Invisible Daily Defense Sunscreen Face Serum? It's actually not bad for a U.S. sunscreen. I'm of the same mindset though... other countries do it way better.
It’s now my go to Cosrx lightweight sunscreen, hope next they change it so the sunscreen works on skin straightaway after applying instead of having to waiting 15-30 mins before going out.
I have no problem with Korean sunscreen. It is all I use. The majority of the sunscreens affected by the shoddy production factory have redeemed themselves.
@@NOBSBeauty I would never tell anyone to quit expressing their feelings or opinions about something. I do think the companies affected and the ones that pulled their products and did right by their customers should get credit for that. They realized something was wrong at that factory and changed how things were done and revamped their sunscreen formulas. We as consumers are reaping the benefits as there are so many more good sunscreen formulas now that most people should be able to find one they like and use it.
Anessa is one of the best brands for water and sweat resistance. I prefer their Mild Milk SPF because it is fragrance free- it is this one: ystyle.co/nQHg
From memory the problematic sunscreens in korea were being produced by 2 third party producers. There was another, Kolmar, who as far as I know did not have any failed sunscreens. If you still care about that it might be worth noting.
Very good point- most of the ones made by in-house companies (Missha, Innisfree, etc) were fine. I wonder if the other third party manufacturers are still around or not?
I would say this one is pretty friendly for oilier skin types- I will have to remember to mention this in future sunscreen reviews. Compared to a lot of other K-Beauty sunscreens this one is more friendly because of it's lightweight feel and it isn't overloaded with oils or heavy emollients.
depending on how much i spend (which shipping option i get for free), it takes a couple weeks to get to me in the us. idk about other countries. olive young offers faster shipping for lower thresholds, at least for the us
The thing is it never would've happened if the korean FDA had stricter regulations on sunscreen such as the US where every single sunscreen releases has to be tested before
