Highly underrated film and I believe the first one that showed Tom Hanks incredible versatility as much more than just a comic actor but as a serious leading man.

Yeah, I've had the movie DVD 📀 for years. I think I seen it in TV once. And someone always turns the channel.

I have never heard Hank ever say any swear words - but he did it because he was upset.

Tom Hanks is so unique that he can make a comedic scene “He’s actually counting 🤣🤣🤣” and absolute serious scene in the same 10’seconds

Family has to come first. David Basner (Tom Hanks) is right to the point. He put his family over his successful career. Good job.

This scene showed me Tom Hanks as a major movie actor and not just a fun loving TV star. Great movie and Hanks and Gleason were classic.

Never had an aged client who didn’t sympathize with me tending to my Dad. All men universally know this. But for the ones who don’t Tom Hanks spoke for us all here. “Don’t you ever F’n touch me again!” Great line and delivery. This movie was so much a guy movie. I lost my Pops almost a year ago from cancer. So it hits home.

Sorry for your loss. My dad turns 96 in September and I'm moving back home for the first time in almost 40 years after marriage, children, divorce and career as a writer-director to take care of him. It's going to be a huge adjustment for me, but it feels right. When I called him today to ask him what he thought of the idea, I could tell he was happy. He and I have always had a difficult relationship, but love and respect one another.

That anger that he reluctantly flashes is always great to see. Sometimes you just have to draw the line and defend it when it's crossed, he did what what he had to do.

@Thatcleanteacher6412 I head of that. It blows my mind how you used to use the F-word once in PG movies at that time, then all of a sudden I guess when they started using the F-word more in PG-13 movies until they stopped using them in PG movies, movies were changing, I guess that’s what caused the change. But so do know why you can no-longer use them more than once in PG movies anymore because parents have been writing letters to the MPAA as they complained about the floodgates being opened. But why can’t you use them once in PG movies, I guess that’s my theory that I already explained why.
