    I am so pleased that I have come across your channel. I am 74 and now needing and using these adjustments. I have been considering purchasing the Lutterloh system. I am now planning to go ahead and purchase it. Thank you for your helpful videos

      Im so glad you got something out of the video. I do other videos not just Lutterloh, I like Lutterloh system but the patterns can be repetitive. I have lot of videos on Lutterloh, so you should be able to get some help with the system. from them. Remember all the adjustments I talk about can also be done on any other pattern, not just Lutterloh

    Do you use the high bust measurement or the full bust measurement to plot the pattern when doing the adjustment?

    • @lifestylesew
      @lifestylesew  2 года назад +2

      Hi Margaret, I use the high bust, as Im big busted, then do a bust adjustment. This will then give you the right upper measurements, like shoulders. You still may have to do other adjustments, like the neck but that is your personal preferences.

      @@lifestylesew I'm new to the product so this was very helpful.

    Do you have to add extra to the length with a sway back adjustment as you have taken some out?

    • @lifestylesew
      @lifestylesew  3 года назад +1

      Hi Jean, you are taking it out as its to long in the back for you, dont need to add anything as that would be defeating the object.

      @@lifestylesew thank you. That was my thought, but I was told what you take out you have to add back elsewhere. I have loved watching you- sensible sewing not bound by exact rules. Cheers

      @@jeanyoul110 Yes you do on different things, sewing can be confusing sometimes.

    Hi there, I bought my system this June, but haven't had the chance to use it yet.
    Could I ask your opinion on the "As Is" pattern? Would you say that the Lutterloh bust
    is already a C Cup, or maybe a B+ Cup? I haven't yet been able to figure out how much ease
    Lutterloh already includes yet.
    LOL Recognizing a Child of the 70s is easy! "Don't sweat it"!
    Apparently a "Boner" meant something totally different and innocent for my Mother's age!

      That did make me laugh.. Each pattern design will have different ease as its about the design. You dont have to do any bust adjustment unless you are big chested and you have a difference 2inch + between your upper chest and across the front of your chest.
      I would say most patterns are B from pattern companies . Then again its about the design so suck and see. Lutterloh dose work very well, just try doing a little top to start with and see how you get on. Dont use any expensive material as you need to feel your way round this system as one would say. Its perfectly normal to tweak the pattern a little as far as the patten goes. If you already sew then you know how to do alterations if needed if not I have a few videos showing how to do some of them. You may need no alterations at all. Just make sure you take the right measurements in the first place, and put the dots down at the right number. Hope this helps.

    I think you have done the sway back adjustment wrong. You need to shorten the center back, not the side seam.

      Hi Elizabeth, I just check the video, and you are right, it should be the same end as the as the round shoulder that gets crossed over. its just the opposite to the round back. Thanks for catching that for me
