  • Welcome to Part 6 of my Lutterloh journey.
    A simple top.
I started this system in the Summer of last year and have made a few things but have decided to go back to basics and make a simple top now I understand the system a little better. I have had a few requests for more videos so I hope you find this one interesting.
For details on the Jersey neckband please look at ; ‪@ThoughtfulCreativity‬
I am not recommending Lutterloh, being sponsored or in fact a professional seamstress, I am just someone who has sewn all their lives and has been gifted the system from my Mother!
Any questions or comments feel free to ask below.
Thank you for being kind and watching
    Carole

Looks great Carole. I bought the Lutterloh system decades ago. I initially went to a class where they were selling it, more like a sales seminar. After I purchased the system I realized how much they “didn’t” say. I’m afraid I wasted my money. I so appreciate your time and efforts in explaining it. How different things are with RUclips. Take care. See you on Friday sews!

Brilliant. You make it look so easy! It's the perfect summer top and I can see it with white cropped pants or even a little white skirt. Well done you! xoxoxoxoxoxox

Thanks very much for your walk-through of the system and mentioning that you'll be doing more Lutterloh patterns this year!

Carole, you are by no means just a "normal" person. You are EXTRAORDINARY! Thanks for sharing this process. I know I would love it. I just need to find the time. Your top turned out a perfect length and fit. Awesome!

Hi, Carole! As with any art medium, there are so many ideas about how to proceed. I find your personal touches to each one of these patterns are quite nice. Lutterloh is interesting. I am starting to think that it gives you a foundation piece to do with as you please. Of course sewing experience is a must plus a calm demeanor letting each step unfold. Thanks so much for bringing us along on this journey.

Carol that turned out, so pretty! You got the length spot on! It seems like such a complicated process to me, but the results are definitely excellent. Have a good time in Austria being a snow bunny!

Very interesting pattern making system. I'd never heard of it before, so this was quite an interesting video. I was very intriqued the entire time you were marking and drawing out the pattern. Your top came out very nice! Love the fabric pattern and the white around the neck and sleeve hole. Great make!

Hi Carole, I just found your channel and I am so glad I did. I purchased this system several years ago and then went on eBay and bought some vintage pattern books (much cheaper) I can't thank you enough for recommending the switch to the upper bust measurement for the shoulders...I didn't even think of doing that...absolutely genius. Thank you so much for this tutorial. I have subscribed to your channel and look forward to more of your Lutterloh journey.

I love the finished result and the white contrast is perfect! I will need to remember the necklace trick for those pesky V neckbands that sometimes don't behave. I have the system and you have inspired me to pull it back out.

Hi Carole I am so pleased you choose this one as it happens to be in the new binder and it has the card curved ruler along with a plastic ones. It’s a cold and blustery day here so I think it’s batten down the hatches, close curtains and have some sewing fun. I hope. Thank you xxx
