    Can I ask where this is? I am looking for some beginner friendly wave spots around Melbourne to try my new 1130S and Foil Drive.

    did you try the xs fuse yet? if you love the short fuse, it seems like the xs would be even more effiicent due to "less drag" and more ease to pump and create lift like you said.

      @@apricotscrub yea I had a few goes on the extra short fuse and will probably just use the extra short on full time now once I get back in the water 👍👍

    How many minutes are you riding the 1300 for compared to the 1540

    • @mrricksurfs249
      @mrricksurfs249  18 дней назад +1

      @@apricotscrub probably close to the same my best on the 1300 is 10 min just pumping around catching waves but I don’t really practice that 👍
      I could probably stay on foil for longer on the 1540 but could probably cover more ground on the 1300 if that kinda makes sence because the 1300 is quicker you can get to more waves faster 👍👍

      @mrricksurfs249 so how long do you stay on foil with the 1075r compared to the 1300. It's surprising you say the 1540 stays on foil the same as the 1300.

    Medium fuse would make it pump more efficient?

    • @mrricksurfs249
      @mrricksurfs249  18 дней назад

      @@apricotscrub I would say that the smaller fuse is “ less restance “ in the water so should go “ quicker “ witch will give the foil more lift 👍 but the longer fuse will give you more stability (slow the cadence of the pump down a touch ) and extra legnth to leaver off !
      No fuse at all would probably be most efficient 😂😂👍

      So you always use the short fuse with the big Wing such as 1300. And I assume you use the medium fuse for the smaller wings, and you never use the long fuse. Correct? What about tail choices are you always on the 120 for the biggest wing? Do you go to a shimmed 150 for the smaller wings or 135 or 151?

      @ for the last say 4 months all I’ve used is the short fuse and a chopped 120 for ever single foil in the range 1540s all the way to the new 600r for prone , sup , wing , down wind etc pretty much never use the long fuse , Mabey ide use a big stab and a long fuse if I was gonna go dock starting or something ! I have tried all of the stabs but that’s my favorite combo so I stick to it 👍👍

      @@mrricksurfs249 I tried 4 combos with the 860r today, short/med 120/135. And realized the short 120 had the easiest pump.
