- I've been blown away by how easy I can paddle up the smaller R series foils in the Code Range and how much low end they have whilst still having great top end!
At the end of this run I decided to test the limits of the foil and flat water pump across a bay with a straight cross shore wind. Needless to say I was impressed.
Whole setup was the 770R with the Medium Fuse 135R and a 75cm Mast

Booyah ! I wish!
It’s crazy how some of these new foils have got a so much lift.
Yeah Armstrong and Code definitely ride bigger than their area would suggest.
Thanks for this video Dave! Excellent info! Did James really make you wear the collar?
Wrong colour if it was a code collar.
Casey's got that collar on ya 🤣 you looked alot faster 🤙 ripping 🙌
Haha Just a boring phone lanyard.
What board are u on dave?
What tail did you use on this run?
What are your go to tails for DW?
135r :) only cause that’s the only R tail I have. Would’ve opted for the 120 instead if I had it.
These small surface crazy hign aspect foils (code, armstrong) look very efficient for low range and pumping abilities.
But don't you sacrifice a bit of max speed in the same time ? Maybe the 980S-850S are faster than the 770R ?
No definitely not.
I'm not sure what is going on with the collar, maybe a mic? Nothing to do with me though haha!
It’s just the lanyard for my phone case. Haha
Look so easy 😢
