    Ali's great-grandfather(O'Grady) emigrated from Ireland in the 1800s and it was never hard to spot the proverbial Irish twinkle in his great-grandson's eyes.....not to mention the legendary Irish fighting spirit and gift of gab.

      Pretty sure he got his gift from his black ancestors who had to constantly survive against white supremacist.

    and like Schtiel said,Ali came from a country where any earlier he d have been a slave.....wouldn't say he was too quick to judge other nations given the circumstance,,,not like yourself though........you re a perfect being in all essence of the statement and we should all hope to learn from you and aspire to be more like you,,right?

    I believe that then-Taoiseach Jack Lynch was the first white head of state to meet with Ali.

    • @wonjubhoy

      Jack Lynch was certainly the head of government at that time but the head of state then was President Eamon de Valera.

    I'm sure he had an inkling the world wasn't a perfect place, he grew up in a country that was lynching African Americans after he had had his first professional bout. While he was visiting Ireland, America was embroiled in the Vietnam war. I'm not sure what your angle is, but if it's a stab at the quaint, naive and innocent view held of Ireland in the early 70's, the idea of portraying a naive black american to the destructive side of humanity as a platform for your criticism is laughable.

      sean nos he wasn’t. You’re name is Sean, that’s an Irish name. Ali loved the Irish because not only did they struggly too, but because he was also part Irish. He respected everyone, white Americans hated him, so he showed little respect back. In Britain, Ireland and Africa he was treated like a God , because he was such a great man.

      Wise Man
      I like Ali as a fighter and personality but like he said, he is deceased and he was a draft dodger lol you don't have to pretend things aren't true that makes it weird lol

    • @SuperMuneera
      @SuperMuneera 4 года назад +9

      @@guitarstaraces746 What makes it weird is not putting context into it. Why should a man fight in a war when his own people are mistreated?
      The war most in the US backed and hated him for not participating in, is now universally regarded as an unjust war. Which the US regrets.

    • @bingusbongus7313
      @bingusbongus7313 4 года назад +8

      Why would he fight for a country that neglected his people and mistreated him. They would have treated him bad in the military and racially abused. Ali is a fine example of what a human should be, respectful, courageous, inspiring and funny. R.I.P the greatest to ever lace them up
