This is by far the most balanced and logical approach to this issue. I love the ending “why can’t we just agree to disagree”. Well said bro. 👏 we do not need to accept something just because others think we should, but we should never lose the empathy that is quite often forgotten.

6:41 yes I agree it upsets me and I find my heart has to filter through so much negativity there's a lot in the media (news) and social media does it really well. It's as if people don't know how to be who they are in private they have to share their desire and to make their point they say I've helped so many ppl... "My followers tell me how I've helped them get out and tell their truth". It's sad how a lot of ppl think that desire should be fulfilled and publicized rather than seeing it as a test and finding ways to cope.

Very good arguments. I hope it will benefit us all and give us understanding about the 'issue'. May Allah guide everyone closer to the Truth with each passing day, aminnn!!! Thank you for making this video!
I wish you mentioned the reasoning why we, muslims, don't approve of homosexuality by mentioning Lot's story because it doesn't only show how big of a deal it is to Allah but can also be a countering point to those who claim that it doesn't affect the rest of the society or those who don't want other people saying anything against it. Alla didn't save Lot's wife from his punishment not because she was gay but because she supported them, this was mentioned in surah Al araf 83 : (So We saved him and his family, except for his wife; she was of those who remained [with the evildoers].). And there are other verses from the Quran that encourage people to remind each other when one has done somthing wrong or haram and to keep to Allah's path so I don't understand when some muslims say "it's none of your business" whenever someone tries to advise another person who's doing something haram. it's our duty as muslim to do that and here's another verse from the Quran that supports this: (They used not to prevent one another from wrongdoing that they did. How wretched was that which they were doing.) surah Al ma'idah 79 May Allah keep us all on the right path.
Wow brilliant, 100% agreed, Jazakom Allahu khairan , I really wanted to comment with that but you said even better ma' sha 'Allah. Why didn't he clarify that.. may Allah guide us to what's good
That's all fine. As long as you do it in your own countries. If you're an immigrant in a country where they are more secular then not only would you be a hypocrite by living in a country full of "evildoers" but also harass its citizens. I'm sure harassment is not part of islam and don't try to make it so. We have a bad enough reputation as it is. If you wanna live a life like that then that's your right but don't force other people to do the same. Which is why islam says not to forcefully convert people even though they are worshipping false gods.
@@zohaibajmal7945 or you could just move to a Muslim dominated country since you all think you're righteous and let's see you live there with your hypocritical ass

All what we have to say is homosexuality is forbidden in Islam. And Allah will punish who do it. Allah punished people of Sadome who were homosexuals. It's mentioned in Koran. The position of Islam against homosexuality is clear. We don't have satisfy or to manage anyone. As Muslim we have to submit ourselves to Allah and we have to announce the message of Islam to others. That's all.
You can announce it all you like, but until you can demonstrate your god exists, we don’t have any reason to concern ourselves with what your god does or doesn’t like. If homosexuality was genuinely wrong, you should be able to point to what is demonstrably wrong about and show the harm it causes.
Love this video 🌸 I completely agree with you. But in front of people I'm scared to say I don't support LGBT and I believe it's wrong, but nowadays you're seen as homophobic and a bad person when you don't support it 😔 When my friends (some even muslim) talk about it in a good way is it bad that I never speak up about it? Will I be punished for saying nothing?
I feel the same way.. we're portrayed as wicked if we dont condoned their sexual preference. Speaking up against tattoos is also unacceptable...they want to do sinful things and they want us to turn away.. they should be the one who turn away.. hide in a corner or something.. which thief in the world will steal publicly?
There is value in teaching children of homosexuals and generally bringing the topic to the forefront because then it wouldn't be so hard to fathom their existence and there would be less bias against them at the people's very core (and I empathise people's very core). People will learn to accept them and will be able to see things their way. They also deserve to live in a world where they are not instinctively perceived as weird, abnormal and that one of their foundations as human beings are not undermined by a society and people who wouldn't understand them or would go out of their way to understand them, thus not being able to treat them accordingly, because they wouldn't perceive their sexuality as a big enough deal.
I honestly feel sympathy for Muslims in the west forced to hide their honest and clear position regarding homosexuality. I pray the Muslim individual never faces similar pressure in Muslim countries.
Saajid is absolutely right to state that sex is not love; they're two different things. The vast majority of our human relationships are nothing to do with sexuality (on the face of it) eg friends family neighbours community and work colleagues. Hopefully as judaeo-christians (that is Jews, Muslims and Christians) we love all of them. And you're certainly right; this world *is* a test. But then Saajid said in another video that he was interested in music; talent is surely a natural God-given inclination which we definitely should follow (mostly.)
Consenting adults having sex is no one's business end of discussion. I respect you as a Muslim and anyone else who follows religion. Respecting my homosexual friends and family is key to having sane healthy relationship with them. The general focus should be peace and love to our fellow human beings. This was a good non bias speech by you and at the same time following your religion without judgment to others who have their own path in life to follow. BRAVO ✌️ 👏 ✌️ 👏
Wow very well said! This guy really explains things and validates everybody no matter who they are everyone's human and we should see people for their qualities not their sexual orientation or desires it's nobody's business
Thank you so much for making this video and making some stuff clear for all of us. I always feel like I am being forced to give my opinion on homosexuality whenever it comes into discussion and now I can confidently explain why I am not pro-gay.
*The Western Christian HYPOCRISY* What is missing from this discussion? Since it is deemed okay by law for consenting same-sex adults to marry, why is polygamy opposite-sex adults prohibited from marriage recognised in law???

It wont go away. Its a fight until we die. Keep praying, reading Quran often, dhikr and dont look at things which trigger our desires. Thats wat i do😊 Insha allah we'll win this fight with the help of Allah!
I think homosexuality is a sociological issue .. because...in biology we study chromosomes..and there is 2 chromosomes X & Y ... there is no other chromosomes..
If a person's sexuality is something that should be kept private and not broadcast do you think heterosexuals should keep their marriages secret so that they do not make their sexuality other people's business?
i think sometimes people don't take a nuanced perspective on this issue. some people forget that every soul that comes to this world has tests that their soul has to go through as part of their journey in this lifetime. some people a born with sight, then lost their sight as an adult, and life as they know it completely changed. that can cause someone to lose faith or get angry with god for what happened to them, but that is part of the tests that they had to go through. and remember god said no soul will live this life untested. The same for gay people. their attraction to men is part of their soul's test. can they give up desires and not give in to it and stay in the course of faith? that is their journey and part of their life lessons and that is approved by god. We are not saying to encourage homosexuals to have sex, but treat people with respect as everyone is going through their own trials and tribulations. seeing hateful and condemnation just for who they are born upsets me that people forget god has ordained it so for some people.
As salaamu aliakum !! Saajid. Alhamdulilah may Allah reward you for a very thorough talk covering all perspectives. Especially the method of reviewing the stance of promoting and justifying this issue which has become a major problem in our culture today.
This is excellent perspective - focussing on the core of the matter (sexual practise/preference) is definitely the key to understanding the matter. My sincerest thanks to the presenter for sharing his perceptive and may Allah guide us all.
If you've chosen to become a Muslim (surrendering to the wisdom of the All Knowing) but you struggle with same sex (gay/homosexual) attractions there are groups like StraightStruggle on Yahoo where Muslims who wish to remain chaste for the sake of Allah SWT can discuss and encourage iman. Also there are psychologists like the late Joseph Nicolosi who have a channel on YT that look into how homosexual attractions develop and the underlying emotional needs that they are trying to meet. Please take a look and see if it resonates with you. May Allah SWT support you in this short journey towards Him.
John G you are here too i think i answered your question in another comment and you didn't have evidence to refute my answer and you continued passing your lie to others.our prophet didn't say ever rape and second didn't say ever get close to a woman married or not if she was a free woman unless she was a slave the owner slave .and this is how it worked in the past.
John G lol you made me laugh .i think i am repeating my words he didn't say rape slaves and that's not rape .i think i told you you can go and read what does a slavery mean and how does it worked before you don't want you want to hear your voices of your head only you don't want to acknowledge your self .the slave is owned by his owner he can work for him the rest of his life he can sell him if he want he owns him so the slave woman is owned by her owner so that's not rape .the slave is like your thing like your clothe your ring your car it's like he became your property in legal way cause slavery was a worldwide thing so that's not rape .
Yes, he did. They were slaves and he said they could have sex with them. They're still married. Fuck slavery. Slavery is immoral. Fuck Mohammed. You're in a cult. You were most likely brainwashed with this nonsense since birth.
I feel a lot lgbt people have had to be so vocal about their sexuality because some straight people have made it their business about what happens privately between two consenting homosexuals. Homosexuals have been beaten and killed because some heterosexuals have made it their business about what they do privately. I think you have to look at the whole sociological history of homosexuality for context of the current state of the LGBT community and why it is so “loud”. The lgbt community had to get vocal and identify themselves by their sexuality not because they wanted to but because homophobia has demanded to know if one is or isn’t gay and gay people refuse to live double lives or be ashamed of something that isn’t anyone’s business, at the same time how can the homosexual create change and acceptance of a society that threaten their lives if they are hiding? God is the the ultimate judge and we should all remember that. Your video even though it’s not completely in line with my own beliefs is important and I respect it because these are discussions that need to be had in and out of Islam. Peace!
@@AnonymousAnonymous-dy5of God does not judge (feeling to or thoughts), but rather actions. For this person, he must give up immediately from the sin because he doesn't know how long he'll live, he may die at any moment, so repentance must be fast

Salam brother. I like your thoughts and perspective and I share what you have mentioned. I think our children must be made known of what it is and to be clear.
as salaamu alaykum brothers and sisters. I pray that you are doing good and pray that Allah Ta'ala sends his mercy upon everyone. Just few comments. Bro Sajjid, I just started watching you channel. I felt you cut the video a bit short. Initially it sounded like you were going to give a break down of our belief. I think that was not clearly stated. (1) As you mentioned it is not our business. You are correct. It should be mention clearly.. We believe that it is forbidden and there will be serve punishment for it.. if one does not repent for their sins. (2) Second point, when sins are committed it does affect the society in large. I disagree with that comment that it doesn't affect us. You are more knowledgeable than me. You are aware of nation that was punished for this act. Please let me know what you think. Jaza Kala Khair. As salaamu alaykum... Allah Ta'ala knowns best.
Muslims at the time of the caliphate of Abu Bakr (Ra): Let's talk about Tawhid.. Let's talk about Allah (Swt) Muslims in 2018: Let's talk about homosexuality lol i'm just kidding, watch the video it is a really great lecture on a topic which is none of our business. You are a great speaker Saajid. I will definitely subscribe to your videos as I wish to make my RUclips experience closer to Islamic ideologies.
I really like when you say we can agree to disagree. So true. It doesn’t have to be a power struggle and sadly, one religion pitted against the other or no religion is said. Religion is about love above all else. Love and peace. Not in who’s right and who’s wrong. See way too much of this online and I know it is easy to get caught up in this.
I do disgree with what have agreed to , when mentioned that it’s not of our busines - we live in time you just can’t be silent about homosexuality, it’s been public for along time now, and actually now they almost forcing everybody to accept homosexuality and they put in the corner to do so , I think we should be loud and very clear to , to say our stance as muslims and never be ashamed , because they are so proud in wrong stance
my point of argument is that, even though it's none of our business, according to our belief, God can rain down punishments; i.e natural disasters, to those who commit bad deeds. When that happens, it could affect us right?
First, of all, I'd like to thank you for sharing your perspective on homosexuality. There are few things in this video that I agree with and disagree with. At the beginning of this video, you show dictionary definitions of homosexuality. All of them defined it as (this is not verbatim) sexual attraction to the same sex. But this is not homosexuality. Homosexuality is a sexual AND romantic attraction to the same sex. This video was made in 2018, so the definitions have been updated many times, so it is completely understandable that you used those sources which have now (present-day) changed. Homosexual people's relationships are not solely built on sex or because of sexual attraction (though it can be). Just like heterosexual relationships, there are both romantic and sexual attractions and romantic attraction is the same thing as love. I also wanted to mention how the topic of homosexuality is incredibly stigmatized and considered taboo in many places in society. So, making it clear from the get-go is what many people choose to do. An example of that is when in many workplaces, homophobic people refuse to work with a homosexual. These situations can potentially cause harm to homosexual people and hinder their ability to function ie; doing work. We should also allow these kinds of conversations to happen just like any other conversation. I agree homosexuality shouldn't be the only representation of a person's identity. But for that, many different things make up your identity and homosexuality is just one of them, the only difference is that they introduced themselves in that way, if a person introduced themselves by one of their hobbies or things they hate to do, no one would say that is sad or disagreeable. No character trait is worse or better to be introduced as it all makes up our personality and identity. There is no reason a homosexual person should 'keep it to themselves'. When a heterosexual person expresses themselves there aren't people who comment on it or have a problem with it as they have with homosexual people expressing themselves. And I agree that many people have different religious beliefs and feel put on the spot when someone says that they are a homosexual. But these are important things to tell people because there is discrimination everywhere. So, even if they feel put on the spot it is necessary and what they choose to do after that is up to them. As you mentioned humans cannot predict the future, they cannot predict how a religious person will react to that, and no one forces them to express their opinions on it (unless they are purposefully talking about it like this video). For your last point, yes there are long term changes and impact that happens when these type of conversations happen. However, it is for inclusivity and diversity. I do not know if you agree or disagree with teaching children about homosexuality, but it is important and necessary. Children need to learn that homosexual people exist and that it's wrong to discriminate. I hope what I said was cohesive and understandable.
*Solution for one who is confused about her sexuality* *Question* I am a girl, but I am a girl only physically, not in nature or inclinations. Since I became aware of the world I have been wearing boys’ clothes and I play the sports that boys play, and I even cut my hair short like boys do. Since I started university I have let my hair grow long, but this has not changed anything; I am still a boy on the inside. I feel attracted to girls. It is as if I am in the wrong body! I know that lesbianism is haraam according to Islamic teachings, but I am not a lesbian. I have researched my situation and it seems to me that my gender is not in accordance with my physical appearance. My nature is that of a man but my body is that of a woman. I wish that a miracle could happen to me and I could turn into a man outwardly and inwardly, then marry the girl I love and live happily with her. But I know that only happens in movies. So what should I do? Even just hearing my mother talk about the matter of my marriage on the basis that I am a woman upsets me a great deal. I know deep down in my heart that I can never get married in the way they think. Moreover, I think my mother realises what is going on, but she is trying to deny the fact. How can they want me to get married when I am female only in body? I’m very upset about my situation. Why did Allah not create me male and spare me this trouble? What will happen in this world if the number of males increases by just one? Or what did I do in the time before this world, before I was born, to be punished in this manner? *Answer* Praise be to Allah. Firstly: There are several phrases in your question that we should stop and think about, and we hope that you did not intend what they really mean, such as your saying, “It is as if I am in the wrong body”! This is a serious statement that undermines faith, if the one who says it really believes it. The same applies to your words “Or what did I do in the time before this world, before I was born, to be punished in this manner?” Is a test from Allah - assuming that this is what it is - a punishment from Him to the one He created? And the most serious matter is the language in your question, which is indicative of discontentment with the decree of Allah, may He be exalted, and with His directing and control of affairs; this is an implicit criticism of His perfect wisdom in what He creates. What you must do is repent from everything that you have said that oversteps the mark, and you should regret it and resolve not to go back to it. You should also think carefully about what you are saying, and ensure that your belief in your Lord and in His Lordship is correct and you should accept His will and decree. Muslim narrated in his Saheeh (34) from al-‘Abbas ibn ‘Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) say: “He has found the taste of faith who is content with Allah as his Lord, Islam as his religion and Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) as his Prophet.” Secondly: What appears to be the case is that your situation is not one of a physical problem that requires “gender correction surgery” - for more information, please see the answer to question no. 164232 - rather, it is a psychological matter, which is called confusion in sexual identity. This is how doctors and psychologists refer to cases in which individuals suffer discomfort or anxiety regarding the gender with which they were born. One of the most significant causes of this problem is the family and the home environment in which the child - male or female - grows up in the beginning of his life. What we advise you to do is to consult a female psychologist who is trustworthy in terms of her knowledge and religious commitment, and discuss your situation with her. If that is accompanied by fulfilling Islamic duties, reciting the adhkar of the day and night, and offering supplication with all sincerity, then there is the hope that you will rid yourself of this anxiety altogether, and you will be at peace with your femininity, and your anxiety about marriage will be a thing of the past, by Allah’s leave and with His help. Please also see the answers to questions no. 21277 and 138451 And Allah knows best.
I really agree with the first parts of your video but the thing you said gay people making their sexuality their identity actually has to do a lot with your religions. When you(not you exactly but the muslims in general that includes me) persecute people for being gay, humiliate them, shame them, make jokes and actually teach that being gay is not only a sin but actually something that's punishable by government(stonning and other stuff) you automatically create a rebellious instinct in them and that's natural. When Gay people in saudi and other Arab lands feel a gap with their society they try to fill that void by creating one of their own and once they are successful they would want to propagate it even more just like they did in west. So the best approach is to look on our negative side too. Opposition creates opposition.

SubhanAllah. The best and most informative video I've seen so far. ❤️❤️
How wretched was that which they were doing.) surah Al ma'idah 79
May Allah keep us all on the right path.
Yeah but if its a random stranger then....and most Muslims know exactly when they are sinning.

Love this video 🌸
I completely agree with you. But in front of people I'm scared to say I don't support LGBT and I believe it's wrong, but nowadays you're seen as homophobic and a bad person when you don't support it 😔
When my friends (some even muslim) talk about it in a good way is it bad that I never speak up about it? Will I be punished for saying nothing?
You will be rewarded for defending Islam, so don't worry about what other people will say.

I think homosexuality is a sociological issue .. because...in biology we study chromosomes..and there is 2 chromosomes X & Y ... there is no other chromosomes..
Sex and gender are two diffrent things you idiot.
If a person's sexuality is something that should be kept private and not broadcast do you think heterosexuals should keep their marriages secret so that they do not make their sexuality other people's business?
When ur sexual preference becomes the reason laws and people oppress you then it becomes more than a minor personal trait
Yup are you agreeing with him I am
i think sometimes people don't take a nuanced perspective on this issue. some people forget that every soul that comes to this world has tests that their soul has to go through as part of their journey in this lifetime. some people a born with sight, then lost their sight as an adult, and life as they know it completely changed. that can cause someone to lose faith or get angry with god for what happened to them, but that is part of the tests that they had to go through. and remember god said no soul will live this life untested.

Abrahamic God is fake. You were brainwashed into religion. Mohammed said his soldiers could rape married female POW's.
The greatest man said you can rape slaves. What a horrible person. Mohammed is immoral. You're in a cult that you were indoctrinated into.
Peace!

I really like when you say we can agree to disagree. So true. It doesn’t have to be a power struggle and sadly, one religion pitted against the other or no religion is said. Thanks Akhi, this video defines the issue of homosexuality and the Islam's perspective on it very clearly.
So if we all are free to agree or disagree why is this topic taught to our kids especially in a school system?
I do disgree with what have agreed to , when mentioned that it’s not of our busines
- we live in time you just can’t be silent about homosexuality, it’s been public for along time now, and actually now they
almost forcing everybody to accept homosexuality and they put in the corner to do so , I think we should be loud and very clear to , to say our stance as muslims and never be ashamed , because they are so proud in wrong stance
You talking nonsens it's forbidden in Islam!
my point of argument is that, even though it's none of our business, according to our belief, God can rain down punishments; i.e natural disasters, to those who commit bad deeds.

*Solution for one who is confused about her sexuality*
*Question*
I am a girl, but I am a girl only physically, not in nature or inclinations.
*Answer*
Praise be to Allah.
Firstly:
There are several phrases in your question that we should stop and think about, and we hope that you did not intend what they really mean, such as your saying, “It is as if I am in the wrong body”!
Muslim narrated in his Saheeh (34) from al-‘Abbas ibn ‘Abd al-Muttalib (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) say: “He has found the taste of faith who is content with Allah as his Lord, Islam as his religion and Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) as his Prophet.”
Secondly:
What appears to be the case is that your situation is not one of a physical problem that requires “gender correction surgery” - for more information, please see the answer to question no.
21277 and 138451
And Allah knows best.
Masha Allah very well explained to your viewers. May Allah guides us all to the right path. 🤲
to people who are gay, keep your contact with allah strong at the end of the day he is the only one that can judge you!
