She's not alone. While I never grew up in or around Islam. I did have a Muslim friend in of all places, a rural town in Middle America 10 years ago. If you told me then that in the future I'd leave the lgbtq community and be a Muslim I probably would have laughed in your face. It's truly amazing how one can change in 10 short years. Assalmualiakum. This was my story. I forgot one detail which is that my parents moved me to online highschool, which I do part time and then the rest of my time was at the masjid. They also put my siblings into an Islamic school within 3 months.
Public school is definitely one of the worst things to happen to our ummah.

Seattle. There are 4 or 5 Islamic schools. The tuition can be quite expensive though. An alternative is to do online charter school and Islamic homeschool combined.

Surah saffat :
55. So he looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire.

This is one of the major reasons Muslim parents should home educate their children. The public schools have an agenda and among them, is to spread homosexuality. In fact, most US embassies have 'ambassadors' to promote homosexuality in the countries that they're located. So, it's not only a bottom up (no pun intended) problem, but a top down one as well. May Allah protect our ummah from this fitnah.
Though I agree with this statement sometimes ignorance start from our own homes. Unfortunately some of our so called “Muslim” parents don’t even know what being a Muslim really means let alone know what Islam really is… *sigh*… May Allah swt guide us all on the path of those whom he favoured, not those who went astray ameen.

You're definitely right about the celebrity imam bit :( one of my faves to listen to became like that. Alhamdulillah he truly helped me fall in love with learning about Islam but the stuff he started doing with activism and outside of youtube didn't set well with me. It was disturbing and i stopped watching as much. May Allah guide him. This is why we take knowledge from people but we don't blindly follow. If something is haram, it's haram even if someone you admire does it too.

So we turned it (i.e., the curtain) into one or two cushions.

That hadith is of questionable origin, if Allah really wanted to forbid drawings specifically he would've clearly mentioned it, what he does mention is not to worship these inanimate creations whether they'd be statues or drawings.
I implore you to delete your comments under other people's replies as well for spreading misinformation.
Watch youtube videos rgarding this kind of stuff and you'll find the comment are filled with kids questioning themselve and identity for the slightest thing.

Brother, firstly, I didn't mention a hadith, I have mentioned an ijmaa' (a scholarly consensus)
An ijmaa' is considered a done deal according to many ahadith, and the prophet forbade drawings, if you want to, I can give you references.
Alot of stuff are not mentioned specifically in the Qur'an like how to pray.

Sometimes they think I am exaggerating but they fail to understand the ubiquitousness of those contemporary issues. Most muslim parent I've spoken to were clueless of what's going on in the school system and society. Two men getting married 😭😭😭 another 3rd grader girl came home from school with a picture she drew at school pretending to be wearing the rainbow flag as a mask and saying mama this is me. 😭 may Allah protect us wallahi things are getting out of hands! Alxamdulilah our kids attend Islamic school and are in better hands!!!

When I was about 9 years old, I accompanied my father to the funeral of a friend of his, someone who I didn't even know.
When we got there, I stayed in a corner waiting for the time to pass.

My father, before leaving, forced me to say goodbye to the dead person. When I looked in the coffin, I was horrified to see that the man in the coffin was the same man who had spoken to me!
I was so traumatized I couldn't sleep properly. I had terrible nightmares. I was terrified of being alone. I couldn't sleep without a night light for many years.
I saw many psychologists, endured much turmoil throughout my adolescent years.
It got better as I aged, but I would still occasionally wake up screaming in fear.
Years later, I discovered something incredible that changed my Life ❤️❤️❤️❤️.

This is very important. If one cannot home school or enroll into an islamic school. The parents MUST spend a lot of time with their children. Especially after school, spend time with your children and build a trust. I started to do home education with my
Children.
Especially since the forced inclusion of LGBT agenda to children as young at 5.
My 8 year old told me how he didn’t believed in Allah and Alhumdillah after being at home now he was able to see that how false that is.
If you child is raised by at best by people who have no Islamic education as forefront for majority of the day,
How can they not be affected by it ?
It’s hard but it’s worth it. My children have made me more committed and consistent in my deen.

lgbtq is an ideology this sam happened to my Neice who was a converts apostates through this same ideal being promoted inter school. shes now into spirituality they the pronouns and ancestor communication . when I advise her about returning to islam she says shes still muslim but shedoesnt need a book to guide her and shes guided by her lucid dreams. I told her shes not a muslim because she \has submitted to herself ,her dreams and her ancestors , not by Allah and his speech.
