Glad you are okay man - I appreciate your humility and honesty. In a world where self indulgence is paramount being honest about the ups and downs of rscing and sharing this tear jerking experience was appreciated. Don't worry you will build it back better than before 👍
Thank you! Really appreciate that. My goal has always been to be objective about the experience of motorcycle racing as a regular dude, and I'm glad that shows through. Can't wait to get the bike together and back out there! Thanks for your support! 🙏
Ahhhh, worried this was the outcome when I saw the title of your video. So gutted this happened to you and the new bike. What awful luck, not even your fault which makes it worse ! Really impressed with your attitude dude, love your videos, your honesty and lack of ego is so refreshing these days. Keep on doing what you're doing, wishing you a speedy recovery !!
Noooooooooo........ Ouch!!!! Glad you're ok - ish. Amazing run until you guys got together. Fun to watch your progress Chad. You've found so much time quickly since you started racing. Hope to see you out there again soon.
Hey Chad! Thanks for the great video, sir. Your content is, as always, enjoyable and refreshing. It's great to hear you're doing well following the crash--those things are never fun. As always, I tip my hat to you and the riders out there. Also, you're an EXPERT racer! Congrats, man!
Oh No! So sorry to see the crash! Hopefully all cosmetic and can get some replacement fairings and get them painted the same color. Most paint and body shops should have the formula to match the original paint color.
Thanks Jason! I'd love to restore it to its former glory. Will check with the paint people I've been referred to once we ensure the chassis is good, thanks for letting me know it should be that easy!
damn such a shame but I guess its part of the game... glad you are fine and I believe that daytona will return better than it ever was! I wish you a good and fast recovery! greetings from germany!
It was a pretty rough week after this if I'm being honest. But, it's all part of the game. Looking forward to getting it back together, and I definitely won't be joking around about it being too pretty for the track once it's all fixed up 😂
Noooooooooooo..... 😭 Dang it! I am sorry to see that but, glad to hear you are recovering. I have gone down at the track but it was just me, no one else involved.
@@hiimchad It definitely is. I am learning all I can and the main goal this coming season. is to keep the rubber side down. and the shiny side up. 😃👍❤🏍
Sorry to see your crash on your new pretty bike! Glad you're not too banged up. Also, you were pulling up on some riders before it happened. Looks like you've earned your way up the ranks! Just keep going. :)
Oh Chad, sorry that this happened to your beautiful Daytona but you being ok is the most important thing and you will come back bigger and stronger after this experience.
Went over my handle bars on my Daytona a couple years ago. Same thing and similar damage but not as bad as you. Also saw stars-feel your pain brother. Hope you bounce back soon!
As someone who bought a fully race-prepped and painted Daytona...then crashed it 3 laps into owning it, I know your pain. 😂😂😂 I hope your rebuild is smoother than mine.
@@hiimchad it's sucked lol. I crashed in November. It will finally be track-worthy again this week. At first, it didn't look too bad. Just fairings, a clip on, a new clutch line, and then a dented gas tank. Turns out the clutch arm got broken, inside the clutch cover. Finding one of those wasn't expensive, just hard. Eventually one popped up on ebay. My steering damper snapped. I ordered a new Ohlins damper, after like 2 months it still never came from the manufacturer. So I had to go with the only brand I could find that still makes them for the Daytona. Finding a used gas tank that wasn't already smashed up took a few months. Finding front forks is impossible. I had to replace my Penske's with stock front forks, because no other option has become available since November.
@@hiimchad i was wearing my shoei x14. i think the major casualty came from my head clipping the rear tire of the rider in front of me... flicking my head upwards and i think the helmet strap crushed my jaw upward.
Glad you're ok man. I had a similar crash at the end of last season ( in Minnesota we have a season. :D ) I actually ran over a guy in my crash. My helmet is now a conversation piece on my wall. 😀 My wife had purchased me an AIMSOLO-DL for my birthday, and ended up looking a lot like yours. Glad you are ok. BTW, you can contact them and if the motherboard is ok, they can fix it.
Ahh mate, gutted for you... you looked to be flying until you literally were! Hope the new bike is an easy fix. The hand injuries sound pretty sore, heal fast.
Thanks Pete! Definitely had more time to shave if I had made it past the opening lap. Still waiting to hear back on the frame/chassis, but remaining optimistic! Will be back to it for sure, hopefully sooner than later. Hope all is well with you! 🙂✌️
Hello, Rider! Wonderful clip! Would it be OK if we used it in a youtube video we're making and maybe share it on our social media? We'll credit you in the video and all descriptions. Thank you! :)

Hey Guy, is it OK to feature your clip in a moto edit some time soon? It will be credited in the description & comments section with your name watermarked on the clip. Thanks
Hey hiimchad, do you have an email address at which we could contact you regarding this video? We would be interested to discuss a license to use this video if this is generally possible? (i.e. via email) :) Cheers, Felix
That's what I did with my 2012 for this very reason, but I have to say, I did really enjoy having a pretty track bike. Going to see if I may be able to get a decent quality paint job for a good price. Otherwise, I might be breaking out the old rattle cans!
Happy you're ok. Looked like a hard tumble. You were kicking ass! You'll get her back together and be out there in no time, I'm sure. Keep at it!
Thanks Conan! Battered and bruised, but I'm about back at 100% now, and getting the bike back together for the next round at the end of this month 🙂
