This ending was extremely sad. But it exploded with potential material for Season 4 I wonder how they're gonna handle the story with this past/alternate Max...
On the end of this ending he comes back to grab his hat. On the ending I got he leaves behind the baby roach, but comes back for him much like the hat ending. And then on youtube I saw another ending where Max does show up in the time machine, but they leave together in the city, not the machine.
Let's see, the Max of the Past (from Chariots of the Dogs) teams up with the Sam of the Present, after losing the Sam of the Past to an Electromagnetic incident that was similar to the events of Season 3, and Grandpa Stinky loses his granddaughter (who wanted to kill him), and his original body, but gains a Gorilla-Man Body. I wonder if we'll see any Banana-related jokes other than Banang in the future.
@JadedFlameShorts The different endings aren't too different from each other. A fourth season would probably not pay the ending any attention, and if they went on a time travelling trip, they're probably back from that already. And as long as each season has a story of its own, I don't think there will be any confusing issues for newcomers.
i ... got to say that ... this game it's just fucking awesome ... i love it ... and i want to play sam and max season forever i hope they make seasons until they reach 20 :)
Season 3 was a violent dry-humour comedic romp for the most part, it was just the ending that was a bit different. Of course, it all gets turned back into a violent dry-humour comedic romp right after the credits too.
@OverStuffedTaco I don't know if it would really be a Sam & Max story if there wasn't a completely ridiculous deus ex machina to end it all. There are a thousand other ways that it could have ended which would have "made more sense," but why do that when you don't have to? The joy of making a Sam & Max game is that you aren't beholden to things lining up perfectly or ending like a normal story.
Man, I thought this episode was really phoned in (the Sybil and dark matter shit was really cheap and stupid in a bad way), though I can still appreciate the crimefighting ending. Still the most memorable game series of all time for me though.
Seeing Superball running away while crying breaks a man into pieces
It's enough to make a grown man cry, and that's OK.

That ending was just "AWESOME!!" like once Bluster Blaster have said.
Woah that was sad.
I bursted out crying in front of my family.
That explain why Future Max don't remember how to save Bosco in Chariot of the Dogs, that's because he is Past Max, he never saved Bosco.

Poor Superball.

And his brain was removed too and in this reality we have max clones

@newe6000 It depends on what you chose when you told Sybil and Norrington what you miss the most about Max.

The entire season got more dark and serious as it went on
At some point in the credits this syncs with mad world.
I liked it. It threw the case solving methods back to season 1 and 2. Monster max was pretty clunky though.

@StarFleetCommand3
The Sam we've always known of course!

It's not bad although, yes, not as good as season one or two, sam and max may just have ended with this.
