    I found this very helpful, especially the tip about letting each layer dry before adding the next.

    This is so very beautiful. I actually tried it and it is definitely not as simple as you make it appear😊 . However, I enjoyed spending time just being in the presence of the Lord. I want to encourage persons out there who are not as artistic and creative to go ahead and just enjoy the time set aside with the Lord. It is a wonderful and very relaxing time. It was like being with a best friend when there is no need for conversation.

    Wonderful tips.....and now I need to get brave enough to try watercoloring in my Bible. I did purchase gesso recently and tried it on newspaper to practice but it did wrinkle so I"m little wary. Like you said, it is just to magnify God's word and it doesn't have to be perfect....however I have OCD and that can get in the way of enjoying that time focusing on the verse when I'm worried about it bleeding through or wrinkling....so I need to work on that :) Hugs & Blessings....Janie

    You paint watercolour right in your Bible?? Wow!! you must have a lot more faith in your ability than I do. I would be afraid I would paint a cross-eyed Jesus, and then when I die and see Him that is how He'd look just to mess with me!

    My pages are very thin. I might have to try prepping.

      @ScribblingGrace  6 лет назад +1

      Yes, you can absolutely practice on watercolor paper! I recommend having a size 8 and a size 12 round brush. Those are the two I use most often, and I just buy cheap ones from the craft store.

    Did you ever try to iron the page after it is finished? I haven't gotten my bible yet, but am watching all your videos so I know how to start. tfs

    • @ScribblingGrace
      @ScribblingGrace  6 лет назад +1

      I ironed my page once when I first started, but I found the pages flatten out on their own after a couple weeks closed in the Bible :) Glad you like the videos!

    Do you like the inter-leaved Bible better than working in the margins?

    • @ScribblingGrace
      @ScribblingGrace  6 лет назад

      I gotta say I like both types of journaling bibles the same. I like having the freedom of a full blank page, but it can sometimes feel intimidating trying to fill the whole page as well. :)

    • @beekayford
      @beekayford 6 лет назад

      Thanks! I have three journaling Bibles with wide margins, and I just got the interleaved Bible. I have four grandchildren, so these will be passed down. I think I will use the interleaved for more mixed media type pages. In the other Bibles, I always use transparent medium so the words show through. This new one will give me more flexibility that I'd like for creating sometimes.
