9:47 In Germany, the Austrian Kaiserschmarrn is usually served with applesauce. I'm Austrian and can therefore say that the original Kaiserschmarrn is eaten with plum pottage. Amen.
i would say that you can find different versions of the Kaiserschmarn here. My colleagues and me have a tradition of going for dinner every two weeks, and we end it by sharin ga kaiserschmarrn. most of the restaurants had plum pottage, some had additional plum sirup (?) drizzled over the top and only one had an additional pot with apple sauce. all i can say is that it was delicious everywhere.
I live in Munich, and i know eactly 0 people who do this. I heard that it was more popular in the past because the meat in the weißwurst was a lot mor "Gooy" back than, so cuting it open was not such a good idea.
If this was a stereotype of americans: Speak with the mouth full, put the elbows on the table, not handling cutlery properly... Manners are definitely not your first concern in the US.
0:41 alles was FRISCH ist, schmeckt gut.
Wirklich...? Na dann Vergleich mal einen frisch gebrannten Whiskey, mit einem der 12 Jahre im Eichenfass gelagert wurde...

It’s a potato dumpling with a bread cube in the middle. They are made with potato, eggs and a starch like potato starch.
Now with fridges the Weißwurst stay good way longer, days... but yes that's where the tradition came from to eat it before noon 😊
I'm Italian but I don't like and drink wine only beer and above all Weiss so Munich is the Paradise on earth for me
You don’t cut the peel of the Weißwurst. You bite into it and suck the meat out without eating the peel.
