    Caveat onto the barb wire on the nodes - I routinely defeat this strategy by using a vehicle to drive through the wire, then get out on the inside and take down the nodes then just drive off again.

    The nodes placement is SUPER important. When I play as a spotter I know exactly where to look for them. Usually players drop supplies from supply truck as soon as the game allows it (third row from HQs) and build them in at the beginning of second row from their HQs.... This way I took out 11 nodes in one game without any help. Their commander had to hunt me down because their team didn't put a lot of thought in the placement and didn't even try to protect them.
    And honestly I didn't know about the barbed wire around them. Good thing to know, I will surely use it.
    Also thanks for the satchel tips. I didn't know it affect places behind walls so I didn't even try to use it that way. Only against tanks few times.
    Situational awareness (SA):
    My games with bad SA ---> 20K/18D
    My games with good SA ---> 45K/10D
    Situational awareness is IMO one of the most important things in the game. If you have that + good aim, you will do A LOT.
    Last thing. Thanks for this video. I SURELY learned something new and will definitelly remember it. All the points you made are accurate.

    Nodes take two barbed wire if you form a triangle with any vertical (wall/building/hedges) surface. Also less entry points to cover with mines.

    Ive also driven a truck next to the node barbed wire and jumped on the truck and then hopped over the barbed wire. Then we drive away leaving a square of barbed wire that is protecting nothing lol

    unfortunately when ever I placed barbed wire or other defenses around nodes I built, they were always taken out super quickly. The only reason I think that is the case is that it stands out really easily. I have even tried to build the nodes on the side of the map, and made it so that they would have to go out of bounds to get to the nodes, and even placed AT mines at the only 2 entrances I believed they would be funneled to. Those were also taken out quickly. (btw by quickly I mean under 20 minutes). The best luck I have had with nodes is putting the on the opposite side from where the second point is, then placing the nodes so they blend in as best they can, and dropping an addition box of 150 supplies incase those nodes get taken out. Now I check my nodes every 10 - 15 min after I had a friendly engineer dismantle my nodes so he could build his own, still butt hurt about it 5 months later.

    • @ChaoticHammer_
      @ChaoticHammer_  8 месяцев назад +1

      Best thing I could say it to just build it as close to your HQ as possible, that way if squads want to waste a lot of time just for one set of nodes then so be it, that’s a lot of time not hunting go garrisons or being combat effective, or pulling needed manpower from the front.
      In regards to a friendly beginner doing what he did…yeah I got nothing thats completely understandable why’d you be mad. “Friendlies are just enemies marked in blue” -someone somewhere

    • @Rambonii
      @Rambonii 8 месяцев назад

      Dude just spreading them out by 100m always passing by the manpower node for the buff never has something got them all maybe one but not all. Always try to drop your 50 support supplies to build em so your ranking more than one class per game

    • @ChaoticHammer_
      @ChaoticHammer_  8 месяцев назад

      I’ll be honest here I really can’t tell what all you are trying to say besides putting them 100m away from each other and using support supplies, which I’ll answer.
      Yes that is an option and I did say you could spread them out, but there’s still a decent chance that they all get found if you are dealing with a recon team, as that’s their job to hunt them, and even if they don’t find them and still find only one, that still can be enough to damage the commander’s war effort that effects the game outcome, even though it seems small. In regards to the support supplies, it takes 2.5 minutes to get supplies back once you’ve used the manpower node bonus, which means you need 5 minutes in total for all 3 nodes, which is a lot of time the commander doesn’t get resources and can make a difference. On top of that the average solo queuer (who I try to gauge my videos for and what they likely have.) might not have a cooperative support player compared to having a supply truck available, or at minimum, the means to get a supply truck in a timely manner. The barbed wire aspect that I have here is one that yes, can be countered, but requires things that have to be dragged from an enemy HQ or from satchel solders from the frontlines which is task and a half in public matches and costs a lot of time on their end. And with this method you can build your nodes in a timely manner so they are producing resources and so that you are not losing time not being at the front fighting but instead waiting 5 minutes for support supply to build all three nodes back at HQ. That’s just my take on that even if it’s a bit long winded.

      see, what I do is I try and match it with other scenery.
      Sometimes throughout the map you'll see things placed around that are the same asset as certain nodes, just stick your nodes next to those and most times people run right by them.
      It's when you're running through the woods, or a field, and suddenly there's an oil pump, or a little tent or something that draws people's attention.

    I feel like a moron. I don’t think I knew satchel charges take out fortifications. I’ll remember that. I’ve been playing for probably a little over a year but I took a break for awhile to play other stuff and just started getting back into HLL. I don’t really play FPS games but I love this one. It’s so intricate and there’s so much going on. Unfortunately I don’t see a lot of fortification building. I can think of maybe 3 game where my team had a plan to fortify a point and it was really fun to work with everyone to put up bunkers and then defend the area. The other night I was trying to get the blueberries around me to do it cause we were down to the last point and everyone ignored me and didn’t respond so I left and went to go build nodes that had never gotten built the entire game. We went on to win probably partly because I looked at the map, saw no nodes, saw supplies and went to do it.

    • @ChaoticHammer_
      @ChaoticHammer_  7 месяцев назад

      Even if there are no fortifications to blow up, satchels are great for clearing out enemy infantry dug into actual buildings and other forms of cover that is impossible to rush over. There is the added risk of killing your allies but if done right and aware of your surroundings, you’ll be fine.
      Yeah with the recent influx of new guys it’s not easy sometimes to get stuff going, hats off to you for noticing some problems like a lack of nodes and fixing the problem. That mentality goes far in a game like this

    The barb wire for protection is good vs recon but if you have a engineer who comes up on that he will take the nodes and barb wire down or recon can drive a truck thru barb wire and use it to get in and out of the barb wire .

      @@allpraisewebb1142 yeah ok i know what you mean.
      1st time i played it i was literally running for 10min or so without finding any players.
      No enemies no allies.
      But this game is all about communication and teamwork.
      You have to be lucky to get a lobby with good teammates and if you do trust me it's an whole different game then.
      But me personally i had mostly bad luck but i only played the game maybe 10 or 15 times max until now you see.
      And the times that i got good teammates (by good i mean teamplayers communicating,and that have patience with new players.Not the ones that act as if they really going to die in real life if you make 1 mistake or are not fast enough doing something.) i really had a lot of fun.
      At 1st it's all just a bit overwhelming.
      It's not a game like cod or battlefield where the amount of kills count you know.
      But once you get the hang of it i promise you won't be running for to long without having fun by shooting someone or doing other stuff in the game.

    Anti-Tank class, honestly, since they nerfed this class, it is fundamentally inefficient to target anything bigger than a Recon Tank. More often than not you are just going to end up wasting your shells just to have the tank roll off and repair itself.
    What you should be doing, as an Anti-Tank person, or as an SL WITH an anti-tank person, is seeking out and targeting garrisons. You can break an entire enemy attack/defense with a single rocket fired from 100-200 even 300 meters away. This will help when working behind enemy lines, as most times, dismantling a garrison with your hands will take time, enough time for a good commander to hit you with a strafing run, so being able to take care of these garrisons with a single rocket is handy.
    If you can work behind enemy lines, working with an entire squad, you can disable an entire enemy line of defense from HQ to whatever point you are trying to hold/attack. Delete Every Garrison before they have a chance to spawn, set your own garrison, and begin your next attack.
    SL - Keeping your Team quiet is also a tactic that is highly slept on, when hunting garrisons its very common to run up on entire platoons of enemy soldiers, and rather than get your entire squad murdered, and your flank exposed, sometimes its better to just lay in the grass and watch them pass, only to destroy their spawns/nodes/supplies when everyone has moved on to the next POI.
    Situational Awareness - Isn't just something you can "have" its something you have to learn. It comes from hundreds of hours of playtime, in my case thousands. To where you don't have to look up to spot an incoming Bombing Run, to where you can anticipate the timing and position of Airheads, understand placement of Auto-Garry's (Some Game Modes). And just basically how people move around the various maps, and how you might be able to step outside of that.

      When it comes to the AT class, the US and USSR classes are underpowered when dealing with tanks with most of their weapons, the German and UK AT soldiers are better since they can effectively deal with medium tanks or lower consistently. The garrison bit is another thing you can do, it’s an item I might throw on another video, the SL bit and being stealthy is a tactic but the problem is you have is that everyone in your squad has to be cooperative, plus no influence from other teams that could blow your surprise attack. Possible but hard to pull off unless have a great squad. The situational awareness bit I do agree with but sometimes people don’t try to be situationally aware of their surroundings, a simple checking of your map here and there goes a long away, even if you don’t know the maps well enough yet. But yes this aspect comes with time and experience and I agree there

    HLL it is an arcade game that has shapes of realistic. But ANY PLAYER has any tactical bases in this game, if you are smart or played other tactical games, without need to aim you can be top killer. I played in several clans and all of them did same mistakes, puting all OPs togehter, or in the same imaginary line from defensive objetive to attacking objective, so even a blind guy can find all spawns

    Barbed wire squares don't work, a recon SL can put his OP inside the wire and redeploy....Done it more times than I can remember now. It can be finicky to do, but I've always managed it. Can't beat a satchel tho, that won't stop nodes going down.

    • @ChaoticHammer_
      @ChaoticHammer_  8 месяцев назад

      My counter to this could be to put barricades inside the square then, with 110 leftover truck supplies, you can build all four barricades, now I’d have to do some testing but off the top of my head that sounds like it could be a counter to placing an OP from getting inside. (I’m out of Also by putting your OP in the wire, that’s a slight gamble and for how long it takes, it’s still forces the recon player to waste more time to destroy the nodes. While putting a slight extra risk for the recon team but chances it’ll work since losing nodes isn’t noticeable until it’s too late, at least to the average player
      With the satchel, yeah, there’s no stopping that but I admit that lol
