If anyone deserves this watch, it is absolutely you. What a fantastic video you made here. My omega boutique dealer called me about three weeks ago, stating I should be receiving one within two months after waiting for over a year. Absolute fingers crossed because I know anything can happen.

Thank you Phil, that means a great deal to me 🙏 it's difficult to fully convey the feelings but those that know, reciprocate - happy it resonated with you my friend!
Love it. I got chills watching this. I remember when I received “the call”. It is an amazing experience. Something I will never forget. Hope you are enjoying this special timepiece.
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! I'm still enjoying the Snoopy, and I hope you are as well my friend 🤝
I don't usually comment on videos, but DUDE - this video can legitimately be aired on the Discovery Channel or use by either NASA or Omega or both. Great production and storyboard. Congrats on your Silver Snoopy - been waiting on mine too, I'm hoping to get that call one day soon.
Very kind of you to say, thank you 🙏 it truly means a lot! I put a lot of effort into this one - it means so much to so many people out there so I wanted to do my best at doing the story justice. Thank you for the support, and know that I'm rooting for you to get the call for your Silver Snoopy as well 🤝
Good for you Dude. Thanks for sharing. The Speedmaster is on my list. I did get a Seamaster in white. I’m old enough to have enjoyed all the suspense of the moon conquest. Love the watch enjoy it.
Thank you 😄 I can’t imagine experiencing the actual reality that is living in an era where people were trying to land on the moon! What a time to be alive! You don’t need me to tell you that a Speedmaster is cool, so I’ll just say, don’t let that Seamaster get lonely and give it a little friend 👍

I grew up loving aviation and the space program. As a young kid I built plastic models and painted them, badly…and then hung them from the bedroom ceiling with fishing line. And my brother’s paperback “Peanuts” collection were really the first books that I read cover to cover. Most of the time I felt like Charlie Brown, but I loved Snoopy’s limitless personalities. From “World War One flying Ace” to “World famous Author”. Snoopy didn’t care what others thought of him…to the extent that even Peppermint Patty didn’t see him as a dog, just “that funny kid with the big nose…”! It wasn’t until I was in my forties that I learned of Omega and its connection with NASA and the Space Program. My wonderful wife gifted me a Speedmaster and I delved into the history and inventory of past Speedmasters. It was then that I came across the 45th anniversary model, but I knew I would never own one. When the 50th anniversary was announced I missed the initial notification. I saw it around the 10th of October 2020 and put my deposit down. I’m still hopeful and waiting. Good things come to those that wait…or I hope they will. Thanks for doing a great video! I loved that your wife was in on the secret and I really hope I get to experience the joy and the excitement that you had getting “the call”. I definitely won’t be able to beat your “dude” count, but I think there will be shaking and anxiety if I’m lucky enough to receive one. And you have a new subscriber to your fabulous content! Thank you!
Glen, what can I say to such a wonderful comment? Thank you for sharing a bit of your story with me, and for all the kind words and support! I always wanted to build model planes as a kid growing up but I sadly never got any - I also always wanted an RC plane and never got that either haha! But our shared passion and love for all things space and aviation, and then watches has brought us here today, and I'm glad my Snoopy video was a positive experience for you! I have faith that your deposit will be honored and that you will get your 50th Anniversary Silver Snoopy Speedmaster! There was some talk amongst the watch enthusiasts within the last few weeks (with the scare that the 50th was discontinued) that anyone that actually managed to get their deposit for the Silver Snoopy accepted by an Omega Boutique would be honored, eventually. How long? It's anyone's guess, but there's some solace in knowing that if you got a deposit in, you'll get a Snoopy on the wrist! Again, take this bit of news with a grain of salt, but fingers crossed you'll message me back here (on on Instagram) telling me you got YOUR "the call" come through! All the best, and thank you for subscribing, means a lot!

I recently bought the new Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch with white lacquer dial from Omega Boutique. Love the watch. Awesome video - thanks for sharing! I absolutely love the 50th anniversary Silver Snoopy watch. Currently patiently waiting to see if maybe one day I'll be lucky enough to get my own! I had the chance to visit the Omega factory and museum in Switzerland back in April. It was there that I was able to actually get my hands on a snoopy for the first time (boutique exhibition model, not for sale) and I was blown away! Amazing piece and I wish you many years ahead enjoying your Snoopy!
Thanks for the kind words and support! I'm glad to hear you got to see and handle a Snoopy, but not just anywhere - at its place of birth! That's so awesome! I'm sure one day you'll be placing your very own on your wrist my friend! I'm rooting for you :)
Congratulations on owning such a historical watch. This commemorative Speedmaster is an important part of the Speedmaster rich history. Now you own a piece of that history.
Fricken awesome video! Mine is getting delivered today and I can’t wait. Unfortunately, I had to get mine on the grey market. It is unworn and with prices plummeting, was only $4k more than MSRP. So not too bad. I’m in Seattle and already have a call into Timeworks for a bracelet to add to the strap.
Thanks for the kind words 🙏 still very cool that you managed to pick one up at not the astronomical prices they once were! Glad you’re local to Seattle and happy you’re working with Timeworks 🤗 they’re just amazing people!
@ I love it. Been wearing it everyday this weekend. Such a fun watch. I’m going to go to Time Works today to get the bracelet. The strap, like everyone says, is way too stiff.
Such a beautiful video. The incredible story behind the watch and the pure joy of getting a piece of history. I love it when good things happen to good people ❤❤
Wow! I really enjoyed this video you put together and even found it kind of moving. I’ve been researching the Omega Speedys (and some others) as a gift idea, for 5 of my closest relatives. The thinking is, I wanted to get them all a nice watch. Something of similar value that they could possibly exchange between themselves, from time to time, just for a change of pace here and there. Initially the thought was to get 5 different Rolex’s. But I began to think, I would really rather it be something more user friendly and more of a ‘daily-driver’. Not something that just gets stashed in the back of a sock drawer, for safe keeping, for fear of loss or even theft. The Speedmasters and all the possible iterations they come in, seem to check all the right boxes. This idea came up as the result of a recent unfavorable medical diagnosis and I think this video has just helped me make up my mind on what I’d like to gift these special loved ones. Thanks for the nudge! 👍
Thank you for the kind words and support! I'm humbled to have played a small role in your decision! I also super appreciate you sharing your story as well! Indeed, there are many Speedmaster iterations, between anniversary models, limited editions, and the various standard pieces from the professional and non-professional line you're truly spoiled for choice! The sentiment and idea is wonderful, I'm just sorry it was born out of a medical diagnosis. I hope everything turns out well for you and that you can indeed gift these special watches to your closest relatives! Enjoy it all in good health my friend!
Today I got the snoopy watch, unfortunately I don't had to wait for which I am not feeling so glad. I wanted to wait for this watch but got one in 1 week 😅 still happy and now more after watching your video🎉
Wow 👌, l was frogmarched into a dealership in a UK airport by my he insisted l get my 3861 master now and then. Although not a Snoopy it was my grail watch and for the previous 10 years been on want list but every year price increases kept pushing it further out of reach. Anyway l sat down , tried on it on and said yes and waited for my bank card to be processed fir clearance whilst l nervously chated away at how much this watch has meant to me especially when lve been collecting other watches but not as expensive a purchase. Anyway, my bank card cleared the purchase ammount and l was offered a beer to celebrate. That beer was the smoothest tasting glass of pure necture , the staff could see how l felt and they took a photo of me with my watch for thier internal magazine . It was a magic moment and l can fully appreciate your special moment when you recieved the Snoopy Speedy , and l say was well deserved 👏 ❤️
Wow, sounds like a dream came true that day my friend! Thank you for sharing 👍 wear it in good health and here’s to more adventures with our timepieces! Cheers mate 🙌
@@johntrain7120 Gotcha. It's my understanding that most ADs stopped taking deposits a while ago, some reports are saying as early as January 2023 while some are saying June of 2023. What I've been told is that, IF you managed to get a deposit accepted by an Omega Boutique, you WILL get your Snoopy...eventually. But if you don't have a deposit made and accepted it's incredibly difficult.
I am indeed! I figured maybe as a birthday present I'd get the new adjustable bracelet! Although, I'm also a fan of rubber straps...I'll likely stick with the bracelet though! Thanks for the kinds words 🙏
Just got my silver snoopy. I registered for it at an Omega boutique 4 months ago and I got the call yesterday. I hadn't even bought any watches from them before, and they didn't even have an account for me (I was registered in Geneva, not here). I have absolutely 0 idea how I got one so fast it's mind boggling. Not complaining though it's my favourite watch to date.
@@thetimist thanks man I’m over the moon (pun intended) about it. Been my dream watch for a long while, so I’m absolutely chuffed. I’m just so glad I got one now before they get inevitably discontinued!
Do you think this would even be remotely possible today? We have a thousand times the technology and 1/10th the fortitude of the generation before us. Makes me somewhat ashamed to be Gen X
I get where you're coming from - I do - but recently I was listening to an episode of StarTalk with Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson. One of his guests joined him to discuss all the exciting research and projects tied to the Mission to Mars program. That in and of itself got me excited and made me believe in the future of the space program!
My video should have elucidated this but in short - it celebrates the human spirit of ingenuity and our drive to survive, it’s tied to NASA, it’s rare and therefore near impossible to find, and it’s the first watch from Omega to have a case back animation 👍
I wouldn’t normally spend this time to engage in these sorts of comments, but I think I get it now, and I want to help. What may be happening is this - your relationship with your AD is strained because instead of working towards enjoying this wonderful hobby and engaging with your AD and your local watch community, you spend your time and energy bringing down others via comments instead of being happy for them. I hope you find a way to be happy with what you have while working towards what you want without the need to bring down others 👍
@thetimist yeah, yeah... I hear what you're saying. I know you have your contents. I'm just saying it's unfortunate that most of us have to play the game to even have a chance. When you have to fork over 10k for a watch, maybe the AD should work with you instead of you having to bribe and beg them to call you for a watch. At the end of the days it's just a watch.
@@jangheedavidhan6253 It's definitely a weird scenario, without a doubt. The idea of not being able to simply walk into a store, pay your hard earned money and get the item you want is strange. Granted, it's only an issue on some models. I reckon the watch industry took a page from the automotive industry - they've been doing this for a lot longer. Want a special/rare car? Get on the list. I actually started a watch podcast in March of this year and it's one of the main topics I go over with an actual AD - episode 2 is titled "how does an AD decide who gets a watch?" give it a listen if you feel like it. It's about 40 min long or so. But the short answer is "it depends on the AD." Again, it's a beautiful hobby and collectors space and I really do hope that you get the watch that you want soon and without having to jump through hoops 👍
I’m sorry you feel that way. I’m seeing more and more folks getting a Snoopy as of the past 6 months or so - but again they may likely be people that got their Snoopy deposits accepted either by a boutique or an AD (and they’re just now getting the new wave of tie pieces shipped out at once) in any case I hope you get yours one day, and thank you for your service 👍
What are your thoughts on the Omega Speedmaster Silver Snoopy and also, how many times a day do YOU say "dude" ? 😆👍
I put myself on the wait list for it last year. Maybe by the time my kid goes to college i can gift it to him. He just turned 1 year old.

I wanted to wait for this watch but got one in 1 week 😅
still happy and now more after watching your video🎉
Congrats, that’s not something to be sad about, it’s unheard of! So congrats and enjoy your new Snoopy 🎉
@thetimist Same to you , and thanks for sharing your brilliant video with its historic content 😊
What a lovely video...
I'm really glad you like it!
Great watch!
It really is 🤗
An AD told me they wouldn’t sell one to me bc I’m not an established customer. I was on a trip in DC
Interesting - when was this exactly?
@@thetimist last year sometime around September
@@johntrain7120 Gotcha. It's my understanding that most ADs stopped taking deposits a while ago, some reports are saying as early as January 2023 while some are saying June of 2023. What I've been told is that, IF you managed to get a deposit accepted by an Omega Boutique, you WILL get your Snoopy...eventually. But if you don't have a deposit made and accepted it's incredibly difficult.
Are you considering swapping out the strap? Bracelet or a the speedy rubber strap? Congrats on the snoopy! The beagle has officially landed!
Wow, that's incredible! 4 months is absolutely nothing, congratulations! I hope you enjoy it to the max for many years to come!
@@thetimist thanks man I’m over the moon (pun intended) about it. Been my dream watch for a long while, so I’m absolutely chuffed. I’m just so glad I got one now before they get inevitably discontinued!
Oh absolutely! That was a big worry of mine as well, super happy for you 🎉
Great video, you definitely deserved it!
Very kind of you to say - thank you 🙌
I finally got mine on July 20th of this year.
Big congrats are in order indeed! Enjoy it my friend!
The actual title should be "How I my fairy omega Snoopy watch ⌚️ 😂😂😂😂
🤣
Easy to get 30% discount off retail
For a normal Speedmaster, maybe 15, perhaps 20 if you have a great relationship. For a Snoopy, that’s not even a conversation.
*Promosm* 😍
Glad you like it 👍
Moonlanding LOL
I’m curious how you’re even watching this video 😆
Do you think this would even be remotely possible today? We have a thousand times the technology and 1/10th the fortitude of the generation before us. Makes me somewhat ashamed to be Gen X
I get where you're coming from - I do - but recently I was listening to an episode of StarTalk with Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson. One of his guests joined him to discuss all the exciting research and projects tied to the Mission to Mars program. That in and of itself got me excited and made me believe in the future of the space program!
You went in your pajamas to pick up your Snoopy? Come on dude 🤦🏻♂️
I’ll assume this comment is for comedic purposes 😆
I don’t understand what’s special about this watch?
My video should have elucidated this but in short - it celebrates the human spirit of ingenuity and our drive to survive, it’s tied to NASA, it’s rare and therefore near impossible to find, and it’s the first watch from Omega to have a case back animation 👍
So you paid a lot of stuff you didn't want to get something you want...
Highly presumptuous of you - have you actually watched the video? The Snoopy was the first watch I bought from this AD
@thetimist for you, maybe... for most no, we have to play that stupid game. Please don't brag about how you're so special.
But the short answer is "it depends on the AD."
Again, it's a beautiful hobby and collectors space and I really do hope that you get the watch that you want soon and without having to jump through hoops 👍
An aviation enthusiast gets a snoopy speedmaster? I’ve been in aviation since 1980. USAF F15 crewchief. 38 years with Boeing… and can’t get a nod.
