Hey dude just a heads up you really need to unplug the battery before the LCD because if you unplug the LCD first you will get a power drop and surge and this will create a backlight issue e.g. the fuse will break
So Apple just said like whatever to a frame for the glass????? It's just glue for these?? Well.. that's not too bad like for those idevices that you have to loosen glue and remove clips for the glass (looking at you 6th gen ipod touch)
If the IPad has been in an otterbox for a long time, the screen may crack at the top while working your way around with the edge tools. Ipads heats up inside the Otterbox covers so the glue spreads further over time. This creates a nightmare to remove the front screen even with heat. Also some ipads tend to have more glue than others, and cracking the front screen may happen on occasion. I stopped guaranteeing the front screens and just keep a stock of those things on hand as they are so fragile its ridiculous so I give them back to the customer as a sign that it did crack so they see how flimsy this crap is. .
That digitizer and LCD screen had already been loosened before this video. No way do they come off as easy as you make it look.
