good start for sure, and honestly i would be like your bf, and tell em come remake something if was looking bad :) if get a wooden floor and have gaming/office chairs with wheels, do yourself a favor and get one of those plastic floor protectors under the chair, made the mistake not getting one, and my floor after a while was destroyed.
