@@sambryce321 Todd Howard has the luxury and wisdom to stick himself in a game studio (Bethesda Game Studios) where he can safely take his time to make his games. Peter Molyneux should have never had left Lionhead to create a new studio, he should have just joined an existing company like Bethesda Softworks or retired trying.
It was cancelled by Microsoft and later the tech was reworked into Fable The Journey

Ill never forgot the story I read about Peter Molyneux, one of the greatest liars in video game history. Where he was demoing Fable at E3 and said if an acorn drops from a tree, later a tree will have grown there (Or something like that) and the developers back in the UK were watching thinking... this is the first we've heard about it.
Regardless, Fable was a fantastic game still

Peter Molyneux is easily among the least likely people I expected to see in any game development capacity ever again.
I'm also not sure why he remade Black & White without the single most important part of the game - the Creature.
Words cannot describe how distraught I was that the creature didn't make a return.
What is the creature
The creature is, well a creature. One you chose to help you become a bigger god. Able to move outside your ring of influence to impress humans.
Maybe your hero is exactly that? I barely played black and white... That is a very old game IIRC.
@@klipseracer Nah, I don't think that's the case. The fundamental aspect of the creature was that you didn't really ever have direct control of them. The whole idea was that they were autonomous and you had to train them to become an extension of your power while also taking care of them.
Hopefully he's taken the time to reflect and what he says and what he shows actually is in the game.
At least its not tapping a cube this time.
Would have preferred B&W 3 with multiplayer and larger open world though

why don't they realize Fable 2 was the best bc the interactions with NPCs was hilarious not bc of combat or anything else. I remember having dozens of kids (I fathered) running up to me when I entered a town....it was funny as shit....and becoming a landlord of everything using unsavory means....having multiple wives in each town....lol it was just fun.
Oh c'mon, this could've been a real thing in early days of 2010s but mr. Pete is that much late...
Cautiously optimistic about this one. The god game vibes are strong, but that third person fighting and character animation are rough...
Hope he is receptive to criticism. This looks rough. Needs at least another 1-2 years of polish

@@mathewwrigley3067 Yep. But what he did with Curiosity and Godus was even worse. Lying and telling us "sweet little lies" about his game is one thing. But scamming the winner of your own game, to get a "life changing reward" in your next game, then not giving the winner any reward and even not finishing the actual game(Godus) and then just abandon the game without finishing it at all....thats really, really low.
And his last game...about NFTs was not much better. Its so sad to see his downfall. From a true legend of ninties video gaming to someone who scammed people. Thats really low...
I've an idea like this floating in my head for a while. ActRaiser on SNES is one of my favorite games of all time, but I always thought it would be fun to have closer interactions with the townsfolk. Cool seeing a similar idea actually being put into action! Now whether it actually gets released (and in good form) is another story knowing Peter Molyneux.

I don't like God and world building games, but the humor that made Fable so beloved, is in this game. Third person makes it even better. I'm definitely buying it.

Peter did great things in the games industry up until his last truly significant game... Fable. So... I choose to focus on all the special games he helped develop many years ago. Bullfrog & Lionhead were well respected and delivered lots of brilliant creations. Here's to the good ol' days when Peter was a leading figure in the world of gaming.🍻

Crazy--I get that Molyneux is a meme but this game looks legit fun. Wild that the dislikes for him are strong enough that people are going to sleep on a legit game that looks like a cool spiritual successor to Black & White. I'll be wishlisting this for sure.

It's like still buying a Ubisoft game even though Ubisoft hype up the same game over and over again and people fall for it! Molyneux has lied constantly throughout his career. But he has made some good games as well. I'd he'd just shut up his whole career he'd be loved!

Fable TLC meets Black & White. I feel more nostalgic here like into the trailer for the Fable reboot and that's good. Add much more features into the game, maybe some real heroes for defending the town (and not a naked guy with a club), take your time for polishing the game and maybe you can keep the old OG Albion alive after MC closed that legendary gaming franchise.

This guy.. yeah he lied about a lot. But i really think he never lied because he wanted to sell his games, he lied because he's just real enthusiastic about the projects he's working on. So they are not really lies, he just babbles before he knows if the things he says are possible to realize. Because of this, i've always wondered how involved he really is in the development of his games. He doesn't always seem to know what can be done and what can't.
But it must be said ; although not the products he promised, this guy always delivers fun, unique and great games. Balck and White, Dungeon Keeper, Fable... all kinda groundbreaking and one of a kind.
This game has the play-style of Black and White, the management of Dungeon Keeper and the feels of Fable. I'm in ;)

Peter Molyneux is seen as a scammer by many and I get why. He over promises what a game will be. But most of his early games ate an absolute gem. 3 weeks ago I installed Black & White 1 again and I'm still loving it. Thanks to the still active community that made the fan patch possible we can still play it.
The thing with Molyneux is that yes, he does promise more than is possible. But some of his games are fantastic. He promised the galaxy. We got an working solar system. I can live with a solar system.
