It's hard to believe that this movie came out 9 years ago. It came out in 2014. Even the managka Masashi Kishimoto didn't know how to write a romance story so a lot of it was done by the anime writers. The red scarf, that was originally a gift from Kishimoto's wife that was put into the story. The thing that always got me was that Naruto had no freaking clue about Hinata's feelings until he was captured in that genjutsu and was able to see through Hinata's point of view thanks to the scarf. Then when he saw that Hinata really did love Naruto all those years, it all hit Naruto like a ton of bricks.
