How To Create A Subdomain In CloudFlare 2020 - How To Add A Subdomain In CloudFlare

This is a simple guide on how to add a subdomain to CloudFlare. There are two ways to do it via a CNAME or A record but if you're needing to point it to another hostname you must use a CNAME record.

The TLDR is if you're wanting the easiest way and the subdomain exists on the same server use a CNAME record (and point it at root using the @ symbol), if you want to point the domain to another IP Address you need to use an A record. Finally, if you need to point it at another hostname such as on teachable or a CDN like Stackpath you must use a CNAME and point it to the domain they give you.

I am afraid I still couldn't pick up the trajectory. I have one domain registered in Godaddy, transferred to Cloudflare and hosted upon Godaddy (Nameservers replaced with Cloudflare's, also I am using SSL given by Cloudflare and not of Godaddy). How do I add one subdomain? Could you explain? TIA.

I will say. I had this setup correctly for salesforce. BUT could only make it work once I shut the proxied domain. and had it be DNS only.

Thanks for the video! Still doesn't solve my issue. I want to create subdomain on my hosting and connect it like this via cloudflare but struggle to make it work. "404 The server can not find the requested page" Could it be an issue that there is already Wordpress installed in root domain and then the subdomain gets lost? What would be a solution to this?

sounds like a DNS record was missed during the import process all you need to do is add the missing DNS record back
