  • This was a local cheapie rifle I found on Gunstar, bought it as a future restoration project but it shoots far better than I was expecting.
Not done any proper pellet testing yet but it seems very happy on RWS Superdome pellets and is averaging 9.7 FPE with only a 5 fps variation which is superb for a vintage rifle from 1980's.
The seller said it had done very little since it had a new spring and service, it has a lovely tight solid feel, trigger is a tad heavy but is smooth and crisp, the tap loading system works perfect and is very easy to use, was listed as a 1986 but i've checked the serial number and its a GL prefix so is a Mk6 and latest it could of been manufactured is 1983 but guess it could of sat on shelf for a few years.
Accuracy at 10 metres is excellent and we had it out on the 35 metre range and it was puncturing old aerosol cans and sending them flying around with ease.
It came with a basic but functional 4x20 scope but after shooting it I’ve fitted the old period correct Tasco 3-9x40 which suits it perfectly.
Think it’s a good enough gun to take with me to the range next time I visit as love shooting cheap old vintage guns against the modern stuff.
