    lmao i once accidentally discovered after taking a MEGA piss that my weight dropped by 800g (i still find it hard to believe we store that much piss in the bladder). Maybe that's also why I obsessively use the washroom before climbing ...

      Correct. Short term hack to manipulate weight for a specific moment. Long term requires totally diff strategy, which we talk about in detail in the podcast which comes out next month. Thanks for checking it out!

      @@Mark32866 I will say, while I detest clickbait, and my interactions with and knowledge of Tom probably give me good context to know exactly what he would he suggesting, this does mention cutting weight which cannot be a long term adaptation. As well, the fitness industry is rife with charlatans proposing calories in, calories out not being a sufficient explanation for weight loss/gain, but the titles and claims tend to be more about calories not mattering or why you aren't losing weight in a caloric deficit or similar.
      This is exactly as claimed.

      @zacharylaschober if you're in a caloric deficit you lose weight or you put out more of something than you take in. You can't argue with thermodynamics. Again, simply adding two words to a title isn't hard, and the reluctance to do so tells the intent because less will click on it. Have a good day. You guys know how disingenuous you're being it's ok. 👍

      @@Mark32866 I am not involved with the podcast, thus unsure how I am disingenuous when I am discussing my position which is not finding the title to be disingenuous. Nothing in what he says violates thermodynamics because he is talking exactly about the fact CICO matters for a long term loss of weight and daily fluctuations have more to do with caloric density of food and the actual weight of the food still digesting than any changes in body composition.

    So what the title says is how I disproved thermodynamics which is bullshit. Caloric deficit take in less than you put out. Otherwise, you can't lose more than water weight. So stupid

      He’s talking about a quick way to manipulate weight for a short period, not losing weight long term. Very diff strategy, tho he talks more about both in the full podcast which comes out next month.

      @thestruggleclimbingshow so like I said that's what the title basically says which I get it's youtube so it's supposed to be really click baity I guess. Otherwise, the title would include the word "short term" but conveniently it was left out.

      @@Mark32866I feel like click bait is when a title doesn’t deliver on what it says. This video absolutely delivers on the title. You can’t include all the info or nuance of an entire video in a title, but this video is about what the title says it is.

      @thestruggleclimbingshow adding one very important word is nuanced and over descriptive and long? Funny, we both know what you're doing with that title. Then just add the one word "short term" seems like a vital decryption. If you want to intentionally be disingenuous with your justification though you can. :)

      ​@thestruggleclimbingshow You're speaking like a disingenuous business man, you can just be honest and add the one word "short term" that's not being over descriptive or cumbersome in the title. Kinda sad that you're trying to save face with that one you 100% have a click baity title because it can be interpreted in different ways easily when you can add one word to accurately describe it. It only delivers on the title in a specific way that you'd never know until you've already got baited to click. :)

    YOU COULDN'T BE MORE WRONG.
    GO CARNIVORE AND RUN ON FAT AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS TO YOUR WEIGHT YOUR ENGERY STRENGTH ECT.
    You do not need plants in your diet at all they are actually harming you .
    You do not need to run on carbs it's a crap myth.
    You also do not need any supplements to be healthy all you need is salt.
    Try going CARNIVORE and exercising before you eat not after.
    You will not get constipation if you only eat meat its another myth.

      please provide citations for your well debunked notions of nutrition. human outcome data on plant consumption, fiber, diet variety, and similar? all show better markers of health. does anyone need creatine? only for optimal performance (and a lot of health outcomes) since extremely few individuals seem able to naturally produce or intake from diet the amount we can make use of. replenishing local glycogen stores for training? optimally and preferentially done by the body through eating carbohydrates.
      Note, none of mine are citations, but none of yours are, either. Get some links to actual research in here, meta analyses and systematic reviews, if you want to have a discussion.

      @@rohanarchibald5853Dave would caution strongly about his experiences and results on predominantly ketogenic diets, and I would be amazed if he did not agree with Tom and provide his own rationalization for his dietary choices being preferential for his outcomes. However, Tom's knowledge and experience exceeds Dave's in sports nutrition.
