I never understood why people bashed this game, as it is instant better then anything the xbox has ever offered (beside halo 1+2) Guess it suffered from time when people where insanely bashing any new game while they are not even took effort in any game to actualy finish it. I still can play this game in 2023, any graphical update with haptic feedback will even get it even a higher score.

True the big one called breakers will be a mini boss at first but will be pretty common in the world of days gone if you continue playing. Making the Reacher and an infected bear a bit stronger and faster than a breaker. I remember there was this one mission where you have to fight 3 breakers all at once.
@@DudiReviews Breaker, bear, wolf and the horde doesn't like each other. You can see them fighting one another if you keep your distance. If you saw a breaker near a horde you can bring it to them and the horde will attack the breaker first before you.
I remember that mission with 3 breakers, I had that one strong sniper rifle, killed all 3 of them like in 30 seconds or less :D This was one awesome game, too bad we won't get part 2.
How tf? Even before it was released when they only gave us a video of it, i wanted to play it. I mean it's an open world game where you ride a bike and hunt zombies, infected animals and also camps . And the scenery is amazing, not to mention the crazy music. how would you not like it just from the first time you see something like that?
I’ve been catching up on PS games that are on PC now so have recently played God of War and this for the first time. Both are great games. The difference is I was lead to believe God of War was the best game ever and having played it, it’s not even close to that. Days Gone was the opposite experience - a game that was supposedly not very good but actually was amazing!
Theres not too many games out that i enoy playing these days but i played this for the first time last week and i couldnt enough of it. This game is a masterpiece and a hidden gem. It sucks that a sequel isnt in the works. The graphics, gameplay, and the story are all top tier. Sony really screwed up by not making a Days Gone sequel. If you havent played it yet then youre missing out
In day time they wont come out, and also in my exp if you clear all horde and infestation in area, they spawn is reduced a lot. AND MOSTLY IT DEPENDS ON THE WEATHER Its not a bug, well to my view, its the best mechanic in the game, well i slept a lot for the very reason lot in the game, based on my requirement
It’s funny, I’ve heard people talk about several of the weapons the way this video does about the crossbow “Other weapons like the crossbow become forgotten as soon as you get the heavy machine guns” or the little submachine gun, or the sniper rifle or what have you. I figure that’s a good sign
Yeah I use the crossbow for most missions but when I know there's a horde I have to swap out the crossbow for the heavy weapons just because you sorta need it haha
My only complaint about this game is that my actions can't change the outcome for any named NPC character, i.e there are no alternative endings for anyone or choices for me. Essentially I'm along for the ride, but it is one hell of a ride.
Ps alien isolation was good for most part but the ai was terrible you would try n be careful and quiet then next second aliens found you and came outta nowhere and they made alien learn your hiding tactics = dumb ok make it wiser if u overuse a tactic but the ai ruined it fir me as htf wud alien no ur breathing as breaths silent. Had too many stupid deaths in were right 6 is generous if the programmed alien right then wud av been good but it failed at that is why it scored poorly but the backstory bout Ripley on tapes were great but alien ai let it down
I had a blast with days gone. It’s one of the most fun games I’ve ever played and I’ve sunk so many hours into it, but I don’t see how you can say the first several hours are boring, but then say it’s better than God of war & the last of us. those two games are pretty much flawless masterpieces with stories & acting that win awards on the regular.
@@TheMarine316 I found TLOU started really good, but I got bored as the story went and GOW was brilliant, but it felt a bit too repetitive for me (personally at least) Where DG started a bit generic and boring, but the story got better and better, and introduced new mechanics like hordes, new plot points/special enemies etc But also - each their own my dude
The best game for PS4 imo, so glad I finally played it a few years after it came out. Just shows, don't always trust the reviews. A sequel would be awesome.
agree with you my dude. Sometimes its better to check a few reviewers/outlets on a game you're interested in, or even wait for a sale and try it out that way
Pps bro they sleep during daytime and aren't as strong but nighttime they come out. Also the reason you not seeing them is coz the hordes need to unlock 1st at start only 4 hordes are unlocked
I enjoyed my first few playthoughs. But as long as Sarah remains in the game and the excruciatingly endless slow walks with her and her twisted spine remain unskippable, along with the endless and unskippable credits screen…I won’t be back often.
@@DudiReviews I liked most of the game, I just don’t understand why they would make picking flowers, and long walks that you have absolutely no control over (except plodding slowly forward) mandatory if they were confident in the games replayabilty. Well, that and the folks at Crater Lake never noticing the enormous “Sarah” tattooed on your neck…
@@bammac69 - yeah fair point my dude - at least in my opinion for the Sarah slow moments, they're full of emotion - and worked as a great mental breather from having to run (or in my instance hide) from hordes

Had you asked me two years ago what my favorite game of all time was I'd have told you that that is an impossible question to answer. @@DudiReviews Each to their own,I'm not an avid gamer I'm a wee bit older and got a ps4 for my grandson to play when he visited ( gives you an idea of my age ) but I went bonkers during covid and have over 120 physical games of which I've probably played less than half, but I'd say Days Gone is without doubt in my top 3 the other 2 being the predictable, Uncharted 4 and The last of us,there's tonnes of love for days gone and it 100% deserves a sequel and I think it would sell in its millions.
I played DG on hard 2 and I can say that days gone was very well made, I do think personally that the story was a bit weak at the start but it definitely picked up and the early hours of the game felt more linear. But I definitely would love to see a DG 2. Crazy how people actually hated on this game. Definitely worth the pick up. 8/10
Newts are dangerous on hard bro they become more viscious i think normal playthrough is to learn game on hard + is were dg is meant to be played all zombies are more dangerous including bears runners bleachers etc
I think it's fairly rated. I cant stand the pre-apocalypse flash backs. (Side)Missions are all the same. Feel like i am doing the same shit all time. Always low on gas. Always low on ammo, cuz people need 5 bullets in the chest to die. So annoying
i love this game, also your channel should have a lot more engagement, your production quality is great, but next time you review a game and then upload the video in 16:9, maybe record some 16:9 gameplay, as beautiful as this game is in ultrawide also, days gone has a lot of witcher 3 feel to it imo
Cheers my dude! Yeah playing this on a ultrawide monitor, just have to find a way to upload it in that format (my dead space video is ultra wide and is a bit letterboxed)
I didn't enjoy this game as much as i did the last of us part one and two, however this doesn't I didn't enjoy it, my main complaint is that sometimes the game drags for way too long, there are too and sometimes they ruined the experience, the game kinda feels like they were trying to save nkney and the last one is that I played the game im italian and the dabbing was kinda off.. however this doesn't mean j didn't enjoy the game, I would personally give it a really good 7.5 or 8 out of 10 😁
Actually, I put it on par with The Last of Us... in fact, I enjoyed this game just as much as I did TLOU -- they both did a great job of creating a post-apocalyptic zombie-fied world and did so from two completely different approaches -- TLOU is a linear game whereas DG is pure open world, and both did a great job of fitting the story into each approach and both making a great game overall. TLOU story will obviously be more cohesive and logically progressive, where as DG will feel disjointed at times ... though DG does do better job of weaving multiple storylines (it is part of the mechanics in fact). All in all I find the launch day criticisms to be pretty much completely wrong aside from the bugs (but that seems to be standard fare for AAA ambitious titles nowadays -- I played the game on PC and it appears most of the bugs have been squashed).
Fair enough my dude. I've got last of us installed, ready to finally finish it and do a review on it at some point this year Yeah I think the bugs were sorted before it came to PC
I can't agree more i love days gone i even platinum it and sony needs to get there ass in to gear and green flag the second one because it deserves one and hopefully with the movie coming and maybe a remastered version of the game for the ps5 sony can see they can make money on one of the best games on the ps4 generation in my opinion
I knew I recognise deacon aka Sam he was starkiller on force unleashed. I finished dg yesterday it gets hard hehe sawmill will beat alot of players hehe. It looks good on ps4 I knew it wud look awesome on pc. The gun mechanics are top notch the shooting when you upgrade your ranged skills
Wow, I did not expect this game to be what it was. Lol I had it in my backlog for months. Are usually like action RPG‘s or souls type games. But this one truly sucked me in.
Not sure if it is "better" than GOW or TLOU, but I enjoyed this much more. It is one of the best games I've ever played and the fact that Bend studios didn't get the recognition and praise they deserved, is incredibly unfair.
In May i guess epic games will have a huge discount sale I'm so pumped up for days gone and god of war❤😊 (those games will be a part of my birthday gifts 🙂) I'll enjoy to the fullest 😅
I found the game rather clunky and I feel that it would be a lot smoother if you could play it first person as in third person the control is not smooth.
@@DudiReviews Thank you Dudi for the reply. I based my comment on my experience playing Fallout 76 which you can choose to play in either 1st or 3rd person. It does help especially when in any combat.
Why the need to put random video clips in your review? It suggests a lack of something to say and is just annoying. It detracts from the what you're actually trying to say.
Just found this game on Steam for 12 bucks.... having so much fun. A nice old school political free dark adventure. By the way, as a native Oregonian... its Ore-gun not Ore-gone
I love how long it the game is. Which was a knock against it by reviews. And the story is the best story in games. Better than Last of Us....... Best game on PS4 ive played. Who ever gave it bad reviews needs feeding to the freakers
Will always be an unsolved mystery why Days Gone never got a sequel. Everyone knows sales were huge and gamers scores sky high but Sony listened too much to the cretin non gamer critics with hidden agendas. If anyone is reading this and never played Days Gone........ Play it and u will love it. For me still my all time favourite as has everything.
Can't deny that, but the last of us is very different from DG. It's more open world based and has hordes compared to TLOU. Keep in mind that it's also their first big project ever, and in my opinion it turned out good. The bike feels awesome, and the hordes are pretty terrifying.
I gave it a shot. Honestly I just didn’t like it. I felt nothing for the characters, and I found the gameplay convoluted as well as unnecessarily complicated.
I completely agree, I was so hyped to play God of War as it was made out to be the second coming of Christ, only to be like oh yeah it's ok. On the other hand Days Gone got such poor reviews etc, so when I played it I wasnt expecting much... Only to be blown the f away. I loved it. I've replayed Days about 6 times, whereas God of War only twice. God of War looks good but the gameplay is meh and it's not really all that fun. Nice review bruv
Sounds more of a skill issue. God of war gameplay is amazing. But it's up to you to use everything instead of running away and throwing the axe the whole time because you playing on easy or normal. God of war is a masterpiece. Days gone is an above average open world game.
@@kato093 who ever said I ran away, and just kept throwing my axe? lol As for it being a skill issue, that is a rather giant leap in logic isnt it? One meant to trigger or cause offense perhaps...? Simply put, I didnt enjoy it as much as it doesnt cater to my taste as much as other games have. Taste is subjective, in fact all of what we have commented on or just simply stated is subjective. Only that is an objective fact lol
@@laptoptweakingtips no. It's just a logical conclusion given that you are objectively wrong. The gameplay of the last 2 gow games are deep and fun unless you actively play certain ways that make it unfun. It's like playing Tekken by just spamming the same attacks and low kicks and calling it boring. Or playing devil may cry by spamming the same 3 attacks string. It sounds to me that you simply didn't reach the minimum skill ceiling to understand the game and have fun by making your own combos and unlocking it's depth. Tons of people end up in such situations by playing on easy or normal where you can get away with doing the same thing again and again and again, like throwing the axe and running the whole time, waiting for the special attacks to recharge. The price of the casualization of games and making them "accessible". It's an oxymoron to call one of the best hack and slash action games "boring". I'd understand if you called days gone or some other open world game boring. You have to go around with no destination or "exploring" for most of the time. Or resident evil 1 or RE2 remake, where you navigate a map to solve really easy puzzles with a few zombies here and there. But an action hack and slash where 70% of the game is constant combat, one of the best combat systems? Yeah... Boring is not the word that comes to mind. That is weird to me. Only way I see someone calling gow boring is if you are doing the same thing without much thinking or experimenting, while the enemies don't give you a challenge. You sure as well weren't playing on give me god of war cuz that is far from boring since 1 to 2 hits=death and you really gotta get in there and learn to dodge and attack, cuz running away and throwing the axe ain't working.
Guy said it's better than the last of us😂😂😂😂😂 He was smart to mention that at the end. No one would have taken the video seriously if he led with that.
I'm only an hour in, and it's so smooth like GoT and looks alot like GoW. I was looking for a fun game that is pure joy after completing MGSV and this filled that void. I tried Dishonored 2 and its fun but I don't feel free. Im also playing Fallout 4, which is great, but Days Gone just feels funner overall and less clunky It actually feels like a PS5 game.
I used to read IGN reviews before buying games. Then, when it was clear they were shilling for Madden (EA), I started to get skeptical. I didn't buy Days Gone because of IGN's review. I eventually bought it, and it was one of best releases I played that year. Haven't been on IGN since.
One of the best games i've ever played. A must-have for people that like post-apocalyptic games.

Guess it suffered from time when people where insanely bashing any new game while they are not even took effort in any game to actualy finish it.
For me this game is still a 9 out of 10, great graphics, storyline and exploration on a bike is something magical. I still can play this game in 2023, any graphical update with haptic feedback will even get it even a higher score.
If you get the chance my dude - try playing it on PC with a widescreen monitor - its rad
I’m just now playing this. Very well made game. Im surprised a second game isn’t being made.
Enjoy your time with it my dude!
They really should. I would buy it.
@@Butthole1982 Game was too long tbh, after I found his wife i thought it would never end.

True the big one called breakers will be a mini boss at first but will be pretty common in the world of days gone if you continue playing. Making the Reacher and an infected bear a bit stronger and faster than a breaker. I remember there was this one mission where you have to fight 3 breakers all at once.
Yeah I think there's a clip my spoiler video where a breaker is around a corner and smashes me off the bike haha
@@DudiReviews Breaker, bear, wolf and the horde doesn't like each other. You can see them fighting one another if you keep your distance. If you saw a breaker near a horde you can bring it to them and the horde will attack the breaker first before you.
Oh damn didn't know that!
I remember that mission with 3 breakers, I had that one strong sniper rifle, killed all 3 of them like in 30 seconds or less :D This was one awesome game, too bad we won't get part 2.
I played it when first came out and wasn’t in to it for some reason restarted it 2 days ago and I’m loving it now 🤔👌
Was in the same boat my dude. Glad your enjoying it mate
How tf? Even before it was released when they only gave us a video of it, i wanted to play it. I mean it's an open world game where you ride a bike and hunt zombies, infected animals and also camps . And the scenery is amazing, not to mention the crazy music. how would you not like it just from the first time you see something like that?
😂this review was perfect. Loved the humorous bits added.
Cheers my dude!
Exactly that my dude well said
Theres not too many games out that i enoy playing these days but i played this for the first time last week and i couldnt enough of it.
Bought this game on day one and it was awesome. Too bad there aren't any plans for a sequel.
@@lotney5620 was pleasantly surprised with how the games story developed and the ending was great
It’s funny, I’ve heard people talk about several of the weapons the way this video does about the crossbow
“Other weapons like the crossbow become forgotten as soon as you get the heavy machine guns” or the little submachine gun, or the sniper rifle or what have you.
Not a bad idea my dude but agree it's one hell of a ride
@@TheMarine316 I found TLOU started really good, but I got bored as the story went and GOW was brilliant, but it felt a bit too repetitive for me (personally at least)
Where DG started a bit generic and boring, but the story got better and better, and introduced new mechanics like hordes, new plot points/special enemies etc
But also - each their own my dude
@@DudiReviews fair enough
The best game for PS4 imo, so glad I finally played it a few years after it came out.
Just shows, don't always trust the reviews. A sequel would be awesome.
agree with you my dude. Sometimes its better to check a few reviewers/outlets on a game you're interested in, or even wait for a sale and try it out that way
Pps bro they sleep during daytime and aren't as strong but nighttime they come out. Also the reason you not seeing them is coz the hordes need to unlock 1st at start only 4 hordes are unlocked
I enjoyed my first few playthoughs. But as long as Sarah remains in the game and the excruciatingly endless slow walks with her and her twisted spine remain unskippable, along with the endless and unskippable credits screen…I won’t be back often.
yeah thats fair my dude - I can see how replaying those moments would get annoying when you just want to jump straight to the sawmil horde part
My roommate went out of town,
I'm bored with my Xbox games and can't afford a new one.
I started messing around on the roomies Ps5 and found this game.
It's pretty much amazing and I'm wishing I owned at least a PS4 and a copy of Days Gone.

Amazing review and on point. Days Gone is on of the best games I've ever played. Almost 4 years later and it's still my most played PS4/PS5 game. Truly EPIC. Just shared on Twitter and Facebook.
Cheers for the kind words and share my dude! Really appreciate it mate! I'll be doing a spoiler video too in the next coming weeks and I hope you enjoy it (and any other future videos my dude). Can't believe it took me so long to finally sit down and play Days Gone
It's a 9/10, criminal it's not getting a sequel.
Exactly my dude
Came out in 2016 and I'm just playing in 2024. Discovered that i had already downloaded it for free when it was a free game on ps plus monthly games.
Can't believe i missed this phenomenal game i give it a 10 out of 10.
But better than God of war Ragnarok?...
No way.
Had you asked me two years ago what my favorite game of all time was I'd have told you that that is an impossible question to answer.
But i played Ragnarok as soon as it came out and till this day i don't hesitate to say it's the best game of all time.
Will give Ragnarok a look when it drops on PC I believe later this year my dude
I randomly walked into the game store yesterday and i walked out with Days Gone. So far i played the game for 6 hours straight.
Nice one mate! Hope you're enjoying it - theres a spoiler video on the channel about my thoughts on end game and some events too should that interest you once you've finished the story
Funnily enough except near the beginning of the game i hardly used the crossbow.
Fair enough my dude. I couldn't go without it unless it was a horde mission
Agree with you my dude
The game is 70% off on PSN guys.. worth it👌💯
This is a really high quality review. Thank you 🙂

Don't you love when that happens. Bargain game but havjng a blast with it

I think it's fairly rated.
I cant stand the pre-apocalypse flash backs.
(Side)Missions are all the same. Feel like i am doing the same shit all time.
Always low on gas. Always low on ammo, cuz people need 5 bullets in the chest to die. So annoying
It's more like 28 Days Later crossed with red dead redemption 2, than walking dead or sons of anarchy.

i love this game, also your channel should have a lot more engagement, your production quality is great, but next time you review a game and then upload the video in 16:9, maybe record some 16:9 gameplay, as beautiful as this game is in ultrawide
also, days gone has a lot of witcher 3 feel to it imo

I didn't enjoy this game as much as i did the last of us part one and two, however this doesn't I didn't enjoy it, my main complaint is that sometimes the game drags for way too long, there are too and sometimes they ruined the experience, the game kinda feels like they were trying to save nkney and the last one is that I played the game im italian and the dabbing was kinda off.. however this doesn't mean j didn't enjoy the game, I would personally give it a really good 7.5 or 8 out of 10 😁
@@davidnicoletti1627 fair enough my dude 🍻 7.5-8/10 is still pretty good
Actually, I put it on par with The Last of Us... in fact, I enjoyed this game just as much as I did TLOU -- they both did a great job of creating a post-apocalyptic zombie-fied world and did so from two completely different approaches -- TLOU is a linear game whereas DG is pure open world, and both did a great job of fitting the story into each approach and both making a great game overall.
I've got last of us installed, ready to finally finish it and do a review on it at some point this year
Yeah I think the bugs were sorted before it came to PC
I can't agree more i love days gone i even platinum it and sony needs to get there ass in to gear and green flag the second one because it deserves one and hopefully with the movie coming and maybe a remastered version of the game for the ps5 sony can see they can make money on one of the best games on the ps4 generation in my opinion
The first level of GOW on PS2 is better than GOW 2018 & Ragnarok combined. How tf did they screw up so bad?
I knew I recognise deacon aka Sam he was starkiller on force unleashed. I finished dg yesterday it gets hard hehe sawmill will beat alot of players hehe. It looks good on ps4 I knew it wud look awesome on pc. The gun mechanics are top notch the shooting when you upgrade your ranged skills

@@DudiReviews can’t argue with that
Can't deny that, but the last of us is very different from DG.
Least you gave it a crack my dude. How far did you end up getting?
I loved this game. It really was the best game that year unless it released in the same year as God of War.

@@DudiReviews only a pleasure dude, keep it up
Sounds more of a skill issue. God of war gameplay is amazing. But it's up to you to use everything instead of running away and throwing the axe the whole time because you playing on easy or normal.
God of war is a masterpiece. Days gone is an above average open world game.
@@kato093 who ever said I ran away, and just kept throwing my axe? lol
As for it being a skill issue, that is a rather giant leap in logic isnt it?
Wish it had dlc n more players at least a two player game would of been dope as shit
