    I agree. Looks are by far the most important factor when choosing a full-face helmet

    Damn that lid looks good. Definitely agree helmets need to meet and be so Much higher than the standard. It's the one peice of gear you can't cut corners on. Might have to give one of these a try.

      @@TheLoamWolf I’ve decided after this review that I’m gonna keep it BUT I’m definitely going to look more into the crash test... results or should I say try to get those #’s. Lol!!! Like you guys had mentioned it may have just past enough to get the sticker... so with that being said I’m not going to ride to crazy until I do get the #’s.

    Please talk about breathability on the uphills and also the sound transmission.as well as weight. look at the Specialized helmet, they designed earholes in it to hear, and as you know all full face helmets flow air differently. just tell us what you thought as a tester. thanks as always, nice job!

    100% aircraft 2 vs Fox RPC pro carbon!

    How does it compare to the Fox Proframe?

    • @TheLoamWolf
      @TheLoamWolf  2 года назад +1

      Could we ask why you compare this to a Proframe? We are curious as we get many questions from people wanting to compare full on DH helmets to Proframes, which are definitely not DH helmets and want to better understand what the consumer is hoping to know.
      Thank you!

    • @jaythizzle1969
      @jaythizzle1969 2 года назад +2

      @@TheLoamWolf because they look very similar and Fox markets its helmet as "enduro". I think a dedicated downhill helmet is most suitable for a bikepark (esp gravity assist), and they are in the same ballpark of expense. What I'm looking for is the best overall enduro helmet, not as heavy as a DH Bell but not as light and non-protective as many on the market. Cost is way down the list, not being in a wheelchair is super high on the list.

    • @gnarasaurus7178
      @gnarasaurus7178 Год назад

      I have both. The D4 is a little lighter and a little more comfy as far as padding goes. The aircraft 2 definitely breathes better due to the fact that the padding isn’t as thick. It breathes nice enough that I’ve used it for a few gnarly enduro pedal days. Can’t say the same for the D4, ripped that off after one climb.

    Why not all MTB helmets we are paying top dollar and their signs be some transparency with the safety results. As always well done, keep it coming.

      Thank you very much, when it comes to head/brain safety and you're spending as much as you do on helmets, we think it should be made public by all brands.

      @@Lozy_mtbon the new version the visor has two screws on the sides and it is adjustable via a third screw in the middle under the visor. It's not with the pins that slide like the old 2021 version. Also sizing is better on the new version.

    You need to pay a broke college student to put helmets on and dive off a clif with a series of helmets. Just joking having one place do testing on helmets unbiased by the companies that make them is a hell of a good idea.
