    Great video. There is nothing wrong with cheep bags! I've had both my packs for about 20 years now. One is a Fox Outdoor backpack and the other is a Rothco sling bag. Both only cost me $70. I use them together because at any given time I could be as far as 300 miles from home. That's going to take some tome to get home, so I got to carry some things others don't.

    Nice! I work from home and my wife/kids school is only 3 miles away but I still keep a pack in my 4Runner. I typically won’t take a long gun unless I’m traveling but when I do it’s my side folder AK. It fits perfectly in an old Prince double tennis racket bag along with a milsurp type 56 chest rig.

    Thanks for making this video. I enjoy seeing how others prepare. My needs are VERY different than yours, so my loadout is (therefore) very different than yours. Please, don't feel the need to apologize or make excuses for your gear (whether it be your rifle or 5.11 pants). The heck with what others think. You chose your gear for YOUR reasons and that's ALL THAT MATTERS!!! Thanks again for doing what you do.

    Oh yeah I think you need extra water for those emergency food bars because they make you so thirsty.

    Throw a push scooter in the truck. Folds up and will cut the trek in half if you take the roads

    If I have to get home..... I'm getting home. That looks like an I'm hanging out bag.That's more crap than I keep in a bug out bag. That's real close to what I take on a 2 day hike. And now you bring out a whole nother bag! Oh man , I'm under prepared.

      I appreciate the input and totally respect your opinion. However, for me and I have a little extra for contingencies if shit were to happen in my 30 mile trek back home or when I get home I don’t have a home to go too. Things could always go sideways earlier than we think and especially when trekking through central texas Bubba country. It’s also easier to ditch things not needed than needing things that aren’t there. That bag is pretty dang light if you ask me. I have down plenty of hikes with this amount of weight or more. It wasn’t 30 miles most was 20 but at the end of the day I was setting up my tent only because of light going down not because of me being to tired to keep going from the weight of my pack.

    For a hard, fast ruck home I can't help but think you may have overpacked?

    • @NavySooner
      @NavySooner  Год назад +1

      I can’t help but think you don’t understand that things can be dropped that aren’t needed or things can also go sideways. Also didn’t know a 30 mile ruck through Bubba boy central Texas was a fast ruck.

    You should add a folding hand truck because this will be way too heavy to carry for very far.

    Good looking kit.
    Definitely like the Faraday Cage. Can't have too many socks, never know how far you're going to have to walk and walking with wet socks is a PITA.
    Is this what you used to escape Atlanta before LSU and Joe Burrow dropped 68 on OU or did you stay for the whole game?

    Awesome setup! Central TX whoop! I’m curious why you don’t like Benchmade tho. I ask cuz if the company is shady, I don’t want to support them. I’ve had a few and didn’t have any issues besides one warranty for a screw and it was resolved quickly

      @@NavySooner thanks for letting me know! They’re name is mud for me now. I’m shocked and saddened to hear it tho. When I was on active duty they sent my unit and others a bunch of knives on a couple occasions so I’m extra saddened that they would make a blunder like that. I wonder if their thinking is that if firearms are restricted and/or taken, they’d have a lot more sales because criminals and the mentally Ill will start buying more knives to do their crimes with
