Is the Yamaha CLP, the best digital piano on the market? As far as key replication of a grand and samples.

The clp 775 is better then the clp 785 in the way op playing on the keys
I got the 745 and the 785 will be my next upgrade. I think it is worth the extra cost If you are going to spend the money on the 775 might as well spend a bit kore the 785 is 3” taller; has mich better sounds and each key is weighted differently. The 785 is more modern and artisan.
You play superb and I’m an expert player as well. I think the 785 will suit me
I asked a worker at a piano shop near me whether it was worth it paying more for a 785 rather than a 775, and he said it was a huge difference

I'm interested in buying the CLP-775. When you played the CLP-775, was the sound in any way modified through the settings (i.e. added brightness, reverb etc.), or was it just the plain Yamaha CFX base sound? I'm really impressed by the sound of the CLP-775 in this recording!

I didn't tweak any settings on either the 775 or785.
The 775 was facing the microphone slightly more. (Just for the record too, this was recorded on a Samsung Galaxy phone just through the in-built mic..) Great piano!! Make sure to get yours from us..

Is there a difference when using earphones? And a significant difference when recording in the App? Or is the internal sound (nearly) the same quality? I like the design of the clp775 more and want to make recordings on the app.

The headphone sample is Binaural in both CFX & Bosendorfer voices - this is truly incredible to use - really feels like the headphones aren't there!!
The recording is .wav so the app works well whether using a DAW or not..

The 795 has the same keyboard action, but the amplification system is improved to suit the casing of the 'grand-style' of the 795.. I'm sure you'll love whichever one you buy!

Im planning to get clp 785. Do the 3 Pedals funktion as they should be???
they function like a real grand piano. they have been functioning like that since at least clp-2xx
Bad design. Music rest is way too low on 785.
I grew up on a U3 which looks like the exact same design. It might seem weird to not have the music at eye level, but it is useful to have it closer to your hands.

Can you advise if the 775 has noticeably heavier keys for playing ? I noted they are not counter-balanced.
