@@timjoseph887 if you want something of CLP Yamaha suitable for advanced classical music level, you need to start from the 785. The 775, doesn't have counterweights, the keys are much shorter than an acoustic, the action is heavier
@@timjoseph887good for your. But the thing that you like it doesn't mean it's suitable for what I wrote. It depends on your needs. At an advanced level or and professional, is not suitable
Thanks Graham. I noticed that the key weighting on the CLP-745 is significantly lighter (A0 is about 62 grams). Whereas the keys on the CLP-775 seem on the heavy side (83 grams at A0) when compared with acoustic grand actions (like the N1X).
@@eddyeddiction the 745 is about 54/55 grams at middle C. The 775 is a lot heavier, I'll try to find my measurements. Note that the 785 is lighter than the 775 due to its added counterweights. Also note that the Kawai CA79/CA99 keys have the best weighting and action in the under USD $5,000 price range (and the CA79 is only ~USD $2,500 in some locations).
It would be awesome if you did a video comparison between the 745 and 775. Particularly interested in your opinion of the grandfeel-s vs the grandfeel.
The only thing that could make this impossibly handsome instrument more gorgeous is if the music desk was more ornately designed in antique fashion and the sliver of felt between the keys and cabinet was green. Red felt looks great on the white and rosewood models, but poker table green would be great on the polished ebony and darker models. But now I'm just nit-picking! The damn thing looks as good as it sounds! I'll take one for free, please! Stat! 😂
I am in the Rimmers Music Bolton Store BL1 1UN TEL 01204 526623 on this video. The Roland is a completely different sound and feel, so its a personal preference thing I would say....The Yamaha sound and feel is great :)
He is an amazing super talented Musicisian! I watched how he played organ on BGT gosh amazing pedals!! Graham have you ever considering to be a stand up comedian? You are naturally talented, now thru tik tok many stand up commedians are rising up, the era is coming.
I am proud to own this great piano! I have written so many songs on this piano ❤
Great rendition of "If I should Love Again"
It´s pure joy to play it... superb sound, great keyboard with just perfect response
But the black keys aren't wooden, only the white are
@@verymozart the black keys are plastic, but no difference in feel between the white and black.

Even if the screen turned off it won't look like acoustic since there are buttons on the other side of the keybed
Nice video Graham. Which shop are you in there? How does it compare with the Roland LX708?

Did you get a muscle tear from the 80+ gms weight of the keys
