The moment when Alex mentions that Debris is on his honourable mentions list because she didn't make his top ten for toxic - the interactions between you there reminded me of one thing that makes this show so great: you two have GREAT chemistry. I love the way you play off of each other! 🥰
Just wanted to say you have no idea how much you’ve made Monday’s from being the worst day of the week into the day I look forward to the most, I never want to hear you guys say thank you because thank YOU for this community
I was surprised they so quickly wanted to change her to act like mysterio and thought it should be an easy change. Cards are different for a reason. As soon as Elsa isn’t as popular shanna could lose some value with that change
Shanna has the mega negative though that what she summons is random. You NEED to save her for the last round or else you might get cards that freeze your lane or move your cards randomly or cancel the ability of your next card or be a deadweight 1 power or a negative Hood or a side twitching Titania or a depowering Bast or Dark Hawk empowering card draw or .... I find she screws me more often than not. 40 one power cards and so many of them have no power or a negative effect, that you're generally just better off using Squirrel Girl, Mysterio, Doom or Ultron.
Y'know, Man thing has an interesting synergy with Lady Deathstrike. She can kill Luke Cages, and Man- thing lowers cards like Spider-Man, Silk, and others to deathstrike range.
An idea that I had for Colossus is making him a priority target for random effects. So Iron Heart, the Web location, Gambit, Polaris, and more, are all guaranteed to target Colossus and get negated (except for positive ones like Iron Heart, natch).
The hype is real for the Man-Thing! I think my first deck idea with him is Ravonna to reduce widow and the goblins. That Goose combo is actually evil though, can’t wait to try it out. Here’s to another great episode! ❤
I also like the idea for Master Mold that he adds 2 Decommissioned Sentinels to their hand, and that's like a 2/1 card. Also like The idea of adding the ongoing effect of +1 for each sentinel on the board
Nova, Shuri, Deathstrike, Zola. Sends a 9 power Deathstrike across the board. Play nova on 1. Shuri 4. DS 5. Zola 6. I usually play magik on 3. Add Knull. Wolverine. Nimrod. Carnage. Venom. Mix cards as you wish but it’s a cool Deathstrike deck. Forge is cool in this.
Alioth definitely has leader vibes, but alioth is so much more of a skill card. Some of my favorite plays this season to infinite were soul reads with alioth. I think people hate alioth because people in general are terrible at snapping and retreating. I won many games where it was sooooo obvious I had alioth and opponent stayed anyways. It is a brutally punishing card when you don’t respect it Also lad into alioth into abs man into alioth itself is FILTH. 😈
I've been using leader as a counter to Alioth lately, if you have priority theirs is destroyed, if you don't have priority then as long as you leader in the right name then you will kill theirs too
Cozy's reaction to Kang super buff was priceless. It would make it one of the best cards in the game undoubtedly. I feel however that it could work, if you lose your turn 6 for playing it.
@Cozy: Took your Hot Mess Surfer (Bloodstone/Mystereo/Patriot) list for a spin.... Fun, crazy, and no one knows what is going on. Sick homebrew! Thanks.
Came to the comments because I wanted to try the deck and can't remember where in the video he talked about it. Can you drop a deck list, or the timestamp?
@@nobleeagle117 I heard/remembered: Nova Mystereo Elsa Blood Patriot Surfer Daken Kill monger Rogue Spiderman (maybe???) Brood Jean Grey Sera Spiderman is the one I may be misremembering.
Potential Manthing combo: Magneto. If you play Manthing on curve, you can play Magneto and pull their 3-costs into his location. On the flip side; if they play Luke Cage, you can play for Magneto as your finisher play instead of turn 6 Manthing.
Thanks @alexander Coccia for mentioning counter to Aloith. He does not need a nerf been winning against him with armor and cosmo. Btw Cosmo is great for some reason people forget there is a cosmo in that lane
Always watched your's and Alex's weekly snaps since day one, so informative and interesting to hear different points of views. I cant believe its Ep50 next week! I think if you guys collabed and did SNAP giveaways that would be the cherry on top/ next level stuff *chef kiss*. Keep up the good work guys.
I think a good change that can help the game currently is a new mechanic called haste, basically a card with haste flips first no matter what, and we could apply this new keyword to cards like echo, armor,Cosmo, even have a rework to ghost where she has it as well and gives your next card your play the keyword haste, this new mechanic could help players who know what’s going to to be played next and shut them down,it stops Alioth,it stops doctor doom,it stops them bringing out a carnage and getting the destroys etc even if your behind on power, basically it rewards knowledge and counter play
“Toxic” as an archetype is just so wide that there are so many different decks and you can really see how both cozy and Alex are extremely different players
I was glad to play ramp even before the video, made me climb from 70 to 95 in really an hour and a half beating elsas left and right. Then played a bit more the next day and hit infinite week 1 for the first time, banger of a deck.
Alioth just needs a power adjustment that's it. Love the card. It's a risk-reward type of card even if your opponent has alioth you can dodge it, or protect yourself from it
I just realized that Annihilus gives you a fun mini game of Hazmat-ing your own stuff to swing over. Squirrel Girl? Two 1-0 Squirrels right there. Spider-Ham to knock out a piece, and then swing over? Heat. Brood -> Hazmat -> Yellow Jacket to for a near guaranteed clog of 3 cards rolling over? Could be gas. I never thought I was a toxic player, but that cards got me kinda hype now.
Alioth destroying unrevealed cards is cool and allows it to function as a play when you have priority, but it's maybe a little too powerful. It could possibly be changed to "On Reveal: at the end of this turn, destroy all enemy cards played here this turn." This change would allow opposing On Reveals to get their effects, cards like Armor would work played on turn 6 against an opponent with priority, and Alioths would counter each other instead of the priority one just eating the other. This would require some testing, and may end up being a huge nerf instead of a small one. Personally, I don't have a big issue with Alioth, but I can understand the frustration when it shows up.
@Alex. I think the big issue with trying to force HE Abomination plays right now is that Luke Cage, and MMM are the most played tech cards in the game. Either one of those completely derails any plans you had of cost reducing Abomination, or pulling off a Man-Thing play. The entire meta is stacked against it right now. You are going to end up with another Renslayer situation where the card is just not going to produce the way you hope it does.
I went over this before, as I had the same idea for Kang (redrawing a card) This would make him a Chavez on roids. It would effectively make your deck 11 cards, but better than Chavez because you actually redraw a card instead of drawing a dead card on 6. In this sense Chavez makes a deck be 11 cards - until turn 6. Kang would make it be simply 11 on the moment he’s played. And to top it off you gain so much Intel about opponents turn. So Yeah, I thought drawing card would be fine but in reality that makes him giga-op
I have a deck with shanna that focuses in filling all your location with cards (specially 1-cost cards) and get benefit from locations being filled that I don't know how manages to win games
I don't remember where I read this first, but I think it would be awesome for Colossus if he had negative affliction, where any time there's an attempt to lower his power, he gains it instead. The synergy with Hazmat and Man-Thing would pretty fun. Make him a 2/5 or a 2/6, and be a bit of a High Evo counter.
Man-Thing is another great addition for the C5 lovers out there too, especially since you’re already running Enchantress in that deck and Luke Cage to protect Lizard
Great ep. I think Colossus just needs a stat buff so his ability is meaningful. A 4/6 for example that can't be moved or destroyed is more relevant than a 2/3. You could even ramp it right up, make him a 6/10 and really make it relevant. But I'm not sure they want to so drastically change the role of a series 1 card in an OTA.
We also arnt running the tech for alioth because were running the luke cage, 3M, rogue tech already, how much of our deck can we make tech cards before we give up way to much consistency to win.
Can't believe Cozy posted a video just under an hour talking about how his man thing is a menace. I guess we're all lucky and it's not a giant sized Man Thing.
I think there are a couple of discussions to be had around Alioth. The first is mechanical balance, and I think there are compelling arguments both ways. Is he overturned? Maybe. Will reducing his power fix the problem? I'm not sure. And that's because of the other important component of any card's design: game feel. How does it feel to play, how does it feel to play against? What is the emotional impact of the card? That's where I think Alioth is causing problems. When cards like Alioth, that are designed to just shut your opponent down, become too popular, the game feels bad. We saw it with Leech, with Leader, to a lesser extent with Galactus and Sandman. The issue with these cards isn't that they can't be countered, it's that they force specific counters into your deck. It's similar to the America Chavez problem. If the counters to Alioth are Cosmo and Armor, and you feel like you have to run at least one of those cards at all times, then suddenly you're playing with an 11 card deck. 10 with Chavez. So you design around Alioth and feel like your creativity is being limited, or you don't and just deal with him. Either way it feels bad. Also, make Colossus a 3/5, come on.
For Shanna the mysterio effect is cool (since he is the only one that does what he does) but what I would like to see is have her mirror squirrel girl. 3-2, add 2 3 cost-3 power pterodactyls to the board (perfect surfer synergy, patriot, etc)
I really excited for him, for toxic deck but also for the fact you can run him in a full ongoing deck with spectrum. So you jean grey (forcing that lane to be full and you man thing it. On your side your going to have luke cage, colossues, and probably rogue to steal there ongoing. Then turn 6 u get specturm and buff all ur ongoing cards. Without luke cage, technically specturm would make them all back to normal value.
I was definitely on the man thing with abomination plan. I like the nebula play forcing them to play into a lane early and man thing those cards down. This could be a fun card just going to be easy to counter if it is prevalent in meta decks
I heard someone comment it before on a previous Snapchat so I'm going to bring it up again, Stronguy needs to be the reverse Devil Dino. He starts high but gets weaker the more cards you have in hand. Punisher can be similar, but be the opposite of Bishop. He gets +1 power for each card your opponent plays.
The deck that I used to get infinite this season has a single card that's higher than 3-cost (Chavez) but I'm not afraid of Man-Thing at all since my deck includes Luke Cage. Sure, some games I won't draw Luke Cage but then I can just retreat for 1 or 2 cubes. I'd love to mess around with Man-Thing but, with how prevalent Luke Cage is, I think I'll save my caches/tokens.
The part about man thing being for higher levels because you have to have your own counters is the same reason the try hards were so up in arms about Loki, IMO, because Loki punishes you for having your own counter in the deck, so they were essentially countering themselves when he first came out.
An idea for Kang is make him a 5/12, that way you can have two options to either play him for his effect which makes him disappear or play him with zero or cosmo to get some good stats
I been playing Double Abomination & She-Hulk turn 6 or 7. It's great when you can get Moon Girl off and them you drop two of each plus Hulk turn 7. Man Thing is about to take that over the top. I'll be able to more consistently get Abomination to zero cost. He'll without a doubt replace The Thing.
I've got two deck ideas that are coming to fruition this year. 1) being a buff surfer deck which seems on paper a clear winner. 2) a toxic/clog with that new card that's pushes negative cards across to opponent or destroys it. But I'm not sure man thing quite makes the cut to these. Think he's more fitting in a high evo control deck
I'm a huge Lady Deathstrike believer... even without Man-Thing. Deathstrke and Shang Chi are literally the only tech cards you need to destroy an opponents plan. Maybe Negasonic too. I've torn apart peoples plays and make them retreat so easily.
Alioth is my most toxic card.......not because I hate getting blanked by him at a location but because I had but 3 spotlights to give his week and I whiffed. 1k collector tokens vs one of the most meta relevant cards feels bad... seen him in the shop 3 times been sitting around 4k tokens for about a month now trying to be f2p has been very frustrating with the constant shift in how we get cards. changes have all been for the best just always been on the outside of all of them lol. Free phase 3 cards! oh guess I was phase 3 complete.... great game, look forward to seeing a better algo for the shop so I see something other than Dan Hipp and Pixel variants for 90% of my shop options.
I think people are underating just playing Man Thing as a stand alone card. Zabu darkhawk has been dying for another solid 4, and this fits the bill well.
Alioth is simple... On Reveal: If you are winning this lane, destroy all cards played here this turn, otherwise +7 power. That way he stays as a "big bad" and a strong card. But that destroy effect is tamed a little.
I wouldnt mind a buff to Omega Red's ability, but i will be livid if they change his stat power. He is my main homie in my Cerebro 5 deck ive been winning everything with
What I'll say about the Sandman deck: after seeing the video I thought I'd give it a go. Played a fair few games on my phone, barely any Elsa style decks. Decide switch things up and went to Elsa myself, nothing but Elsa decks! Matchmaking can be frustrating sometimes(!)
Just throwing a Kang concept into the world. 4/5 On reveal: undo everything that happened this turn and skip to the next turn. Energy from last turn carry’s over. (Ability can’t trigger turn starting turn 6) Edit: along side this I’d say you’d have to add text to Alioth stating that you can’t play other cards same turn as Alioth. Cause I don’t wanna live in an Alioth absorbing man meta. But lots of good synergies fr like Hitmonkey. Black panther and Zola could rise!! Or just big cards along side tech!!
A Rework for Negasonic: 3/5 If opponent plays a card here: loose 4 power destroy that card It leaves the card on the board and even enables control if you play it on shuri allowing you to destroy 2 cards and ending in 3/2
When it comes to Zabu you should be running rogue anyways. Steal the effects. I run Rogue over Luke Cage for instance so I can steal an Ironman or whatever if need be. If it's turn 5 Wave into Mobius, okay they got you. But you're probably ahead anyways.
For buffs, I really want Master Mold and Kingpin to receive something, both are just ok and are severely underplayed. I love playing them so that would be amazing. That Master Mold idea is genius though, would absolutely love to see Ronan get more love. Also for the love of god buff Punisher, he’s been awful for around a year
I agree with Kingpin and Punisher but I think what Ronan needs is more cards coming out that synergize with it. Buffing the cards seems like a more lazy way to me cuz honestly Master Mold would be good with it already if Ronan had enough support to be good.
Im not running the tech cards because it doesnt matter if I use them or not... I dont have Alioth, they do, if theyre winning 2 lanes they basically win with Alioth, every game but a few handful I have lost to Alioth
Man thing is going to be a good disrupt card. Man thing attacking both goblins sending to your opponents lane. oh the pain the despair. Thanks for the vid cozy. Truly it will be a spooky season 😈😈😈😈

1 hour video, you are the best honestly
They were smart this season about putting the counter card the week after instead of the end of the season.
Keep rocking the content, you’re my go to for tips and strategies.
An idea for Kang is make him a 5/12, that way you can have two options to either play him for his effect which makes him disappear or play him with zero or cosmo to get some good stats
Does someone know why hobgoblin is a 5 -8 and not green goblin? I find it weird since Norman is more iconic and more evil
“Zabu was the first thing you thought of, this time you don’t”
Man Thing was the only card I thought of Zabu first, he fits into that kind of deck
That buff surfer deck will be my go to come December if the datamines stay as they are
"I love it and I love you" aaaww :)
I'm a huge Lady Deathstrike believer... even without Man-Thing. Deathstrke and Shang Chi are literally the only tech cards you need to destroy an opponents plan. Maybe Negasonic too. I've torn apart peoples plays and make them retreat so easily.
@cozysnap for Kang the Conqueror i would like to at least trigger the same way as Leech, and no longer be a On Reveal effect.
❤❤❤❤
Is it me or did the update mess up new card day? It looks like it doesn’t come out until Tuesday now? That sucks
Throwing down man thing and luke cage on tuen six is dirty
yeah
Alioth is fine. He needs no buff or nerf. Give meta time to find itself, like Alex said, there are counrers.
Only just realized the master mold effect and the nebula effect are the same 👌🖤⚡️
Alioth is my most toxic card.......not because I hate getting blanked by him at a location but because I had but 3 spotlights to give his week and I whiffed.
My friend made me realize how much I enjoyed clutter and junk decks when he thought I would like Man Thing
best conversation about everything 👌
I’ve been using Lady Deathstrike for weeks and now I can confidently say she’s probably going to take her place in the meta with Man-Thing
Just throwing a Kang concept into the world.
4/5
On reveal: undo everything that happened this turn and skip to the next turn. Energy from last turn carry’s over. (Ability can’t trigger turn starting turn 6)
Edit: along side this I’d say you’d have to add text to Alioth stating that you can’t play other cards same turn as Alioth. Cause I don’t wanna live in an Alioth absorbing man meta. But lots of good synergies fr like Hitmonkey. Black panther and Zola could rise!! Or just big cards along side tech!!
I was playing Sandman before I saw your video and I felt bad too, but I gained 10 ranks in a day to get to infinite, so it didn't feel too bad.
I totally love your guises ideas on the rework of Kang❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉😂😂😂
A Rework for Negasonic:
3/5
If opponent plays a card here: loose 4 power destroy that card
It leaves the card on the board and even enables control if you play it on shuri allowing you to destroy 2 cards and ending in 3/2
Haven't even watched the list yet, but Debrii not making the top 10 is Alex not understanding the assignment. Lol
Just another toxic Monday, it's that funday, whoa oh oh 🎶🎶
The Master mold idea is cool
When it comes to Zabu you should be running rogue anyways. Steal the effects. I run Rogue over Luke Cage for instance so I can steal an Ironman or whatever if need be. If it's turn 5 Wave into Mobius, okay they got you. But you're probably ahead anyways.
Surprised you guys didn't discuss Echo for countering Luke Cage. Could be interesting...
Goose and manthing is a great combo, great vid guys great info and fun and chill time
For buffs, I really want Master Mold and Kingpin to receive something, both are just ok and are severely underplayed.
Love the video ! Let’s have a giveaway to celebrate episode 50 ! ❤️
Annihilus is who sends goblins. Man thing afflicts enemy cards in one particular lane. Annihilus is a game changer, Manthing? Not so much!!
If you have zabu out, you could drop man thing and Rouge to steal their Luke cage for yourself
I have to admit that I quite enjoy playing Sandman
Another great video. Cant wait to try toxic decks after its released!
I’ll be using lots of Luke cage this week. Also I plan to pop him into an evo deck for a discount on abomination
What if Colossus gains power for any reduction. Like if Soul Stone or Swamp Thing are in his lane he gets buffed instead of nothing happening.
Man-Thing + Spider woman will be nuts
