Mate if you think paying top dollar for a bear bones game that's had all it bits chop up to sell as dlc then Fire emblem engage is right up your alley. If you want to play a full game play fire emblem three houses and if you want a little extra because you enjoy the full game and want to play more then they do have optional dlc. I really hate when companies make a game then cut it up to squeeze more money out of you for not extra work. I am happy to support a game that has expansion dlc. I own and love fire emblem nds, 3ds and switch. Also own all the dlc. Engage was a massive let down compared to their previous fire emblem titles. Deep down I really hope they lift their game because Owlcat and Larian have been consistently knocking it out of the park. Their games a freaking long with so much engaging content that you want to finished multiple times to see all the branching conversations and endings that anything else won't get a look in any more if they just going to waste my time.
The one that I'm most waiting for is Sea of Stars, but I'm really happy to know that Front Mission remake is on Steam, I though that it was a Nintendo exclusive.
miasma looks like the new Xcom series in a good way. If anyone have a suggestion about games similar to Divinity Original Sin series & Wasteland, pls hit me up with it (except Fallout, I've played those to death).
Stay clear of AOW4 right now. The AI is completely useless and MP has frequent desync issues. On top of that, there's no traditional unique factions. You are just a generic template with full 'tech/magic' customization but options are as deep as a puddle and you end up seeing every useful combo after a few games so minimal replayability. Wait for a sale and the Q3 & Q4 major patch before you open your wallet.
I remember a long time ago maybe in the 90s i play a D and D game i forgot the name but i remember it had hexegon turn based movement. and i remember running away from an enemy with the turn based and being hunted down it was so thrilling to have to run through those D and D corridors retreating and fighting. Is there a game that can match that moment? I see mostly all the tactical RPGs mentioned here and in all the videos put you in some area that you cant move from. I dont want that. I remember my magic casts only had a certain range and so while i was running i could only run so far because of that it was a delicate interplay of retreating and fighting. PLease help! :) :)
I love your video and have one request, while switching from one game video to another, the transition effect is fully white, and normally games are in a darker tone, so when I am watching and my room is dark, the sudden transition white color is uncomfortable for the eyes, so please make the transition in darker color, it will be more comfortable to watch. please.
@@Ri6hteous I'm currently playing Phoenix Point, King Arthur Knight's Tale and wanted to get into a 4X with Good Tactical Combat. You Recommend AoW4 over AoWPF?
@@danimcfly5992 I would not put AoW in the tactical combat type of game. The tactical combat is definitely present for sure but there is a lot more to the game as well. I’ve played both AoW games and I’d recommend both. Phoenix point was actually very very good - enjoy. Are you playing on PC?
@@Ri6hteous Yeah PC only, Phoenix Point can get very Tactical, I saw that AoWPF has some XCOM Elements, so I want to get one or the other. AoW4 looks good while AoWPF has more DLCs, Mods, etc.
@danimcfly5992 the combat in AoW is tactical but there is a lot more to the game on the outside of combat. Both are good. AoW4 will have more DLC eventually. They have already released the first one. It is still relatively new. I suppose a good question is do you prefer sci-fi or fantasy? I would say AoW4 is better.
I'm skeptical that a free to play mobile game, especially a gotcha, can be good without paying. Must be the exception to the rule :D Revival recolonization has a terrible title, I thought it was a survival game and missed it
To learn from RPG, configuration lattitude should be - everything. Bots behaviours of both sides, rules options like hierarchical-charts (forwards-backwards dependencies building), player options, graphics options, portion of game, replay, review, hints, suggestions, manual, help, information, ... If Jagged is free-roam without others, with options like cars, boats, planes, build houses, do farm, ... insert mod of real town and link to weather station data to use as screensaver... entire game with all features, server and client standalone single player for one price, paid every-internet-feature(itemised)... itemised-billing is per function-feature-service and not every in-game item (microtransactions in-game items encourage a few rich kids to trash an entire game with minimal money). The irony is Homm3 HD remaster a poor version of Homm 3 and its own fanmade HD remaster with all the content, because they did not add the 2 expansions, has more active players on steam or equal as AoW4 which just released. Again Homm 3 is a game from 1999, like AoW1 yet same active players as a new game from 2023. @@zeusapollo6504 I do not know if there could be any better comment/description of Homm3. Totally agreed to your points. The timeless game that has tons of great mods, expansions and really bad remaster (official one) but I must admit I buy ever version that comes out... for almost 25 years.
Instantly invalid list because you didn’t add Mario + rabbids: kingdom battle. Easily the most accessible tbt. Not sparks of hope though, that game sucks.

Felt that from the jump man, good video, keep up the good work.
Showgunners is amazing. Great gameplay and level design. The fast forward option during the enemies turn is a great option.
Agreed!
Cool!
Can you advice something like RedemptionReapers?
"The last Spell" didn't look amazing on this video, but it is an absolute masterpiece of tactics and careful thinking... Great list, btw 😀
Much appreciated!
I dont know about new games but older games I do, The panzer General series of games IMO is the greatest turn based game ever.
I would add The Wandering Sword to the listen. It looks really good with the demo on Steam.
Good list. I was able to add a game to my already overfilled wishlist

here to add recomendation, if you like this kind of game you should try phoenix point and valkyria chronicles
