      I believe is due to it being so inflamed that the bit of red blood mixed with the usual bright yellow can cause this color...usually bacteria can be the culprite too. This is why we we have a sinus infection our mucus turns green instead of usual clear white color.

      really? I saw this kind of infection in my very first year of apprenticeship (german dual branch education). Its an infection with Pseudomonas. it can be even blue. And it smells almost like rotting fruits.
      Not the most common, but also not super exotic. Maybe depends on the region and field of work wether you got to see it or not, and I was just lucky.

    • @hannajung7512
      @hannajung7512 Год назад +10

      Oh I forgot: in theory this kind of puss can also happen, when there was a lot of granulation going on inside. granulocytes when they get broken down create a greenish colour thanks to a specific iron compound inside of them.

    • @derekenlow7607
      @derekenlow7607 Год назад +7

      I had one right below my belly button. No cyst contents but a huge pocket of puss. Finally after a couple days of poking and squeezing it finally burst and shot accross the room then drained in my lap as I was sitting when it burst. The relief was almost instant. Turned into curiosity of how that much fluid was in there. It took a long time for that pocket to actually shrink.

    • @pommiebears
      @pommiebears Год назад +5

      Oh…I had more. I did spend 6 weeks in hospital afterwards though. I’d had bilateral hernia surgery, and got the MRSA! Didn’t know because of that huge dressing. When I went to hospital, they pulled the dressing off, and drained so much fluid, and they CT scanned me….I had a pocket of fluid up to my ribs. They said if I hadn’t gotten to hospital within that day, I’d have been dead. Thing is, I actually felt ok, just a little pain.

    Many well wishes and blessings to this patient. I’ve personally suffered with a reoccurring abscess. It’s not fun! Sometimes it’s generating it’s on gravitational pull. Other times it’s so warm, it might as well be on fire. Imagine what work it took for the body to fight off bacteria and create such amounts of fluids that were lanced and drained. It’s a difficult level of suffering. Even more difficult when people make fun of you, or judge you. You then don’t want to go out. Nor do you wish to wear certain types of clothes. It’s a blessing to see someone else take mercy and exercise compassion whilst treating the problem.

Also, peroxide flushes on larger, very infected wounds have caused problems with some patients. I used to use peroxide a lot but switched over to rubbing alcohol for small things like earrings etc. and use saline now if not infected and no antibiotics are needed. Peroxide is brilliant for removing fresh splinters, they pop out so much easier with the fun bubbles to boot! ⭐️⭐️

    I've only ever suffered from one abscess on the top of my right foot. It was one of the most painful things I've ever experienced including having it drained. The procedure was performed by a resident in the ER. It was the first time she'd ever done it and the area was not even close to being properly numbed. Even so, the relief that I experienced once it was done is indescribable. I sincerely hope I never have to go through anything like that again.
