Weird choice for furniture, personally would have gone with a world with the width of a sawmill instead but you do you
Nah fam, sawmills are *vital*
Nah I would have picked the meat grinder.
Wait the width of the sawmill is 4 blocks? That explains a lot of trouble I’ve had.
I would rather have a world with the width of a bed or an ancient manipulator.
5 blocks wide would have allowed more room for the solid blocks that NPCs need for a home to be valid too. But then again so would 4 blocks. I 'thought' they needed two solid blocks, but WoS has obviously figured out a pattern that only uses 1 block.
This is honestly very interesting, I didn't know you could basically defeat Terraria with this width, it sounds hard but it isn't that hard when you know what to do, great job Wand! This must have required a lot of effort and time to do!

If an enemy can go through blocks, like most bosses, they can be hit by whips. So they could be very useful.
All weapons that can go through blocks will be useful
@@ZudinGodofWar Yes, of course. I just brought up whips in particular because they're a whole weapon class that can hit through blocks.
@@Teh_Bean
Easily acquired too.
Whips are summoner build weapons so maybe getting some minions that can attack through blocks would be good like the twins summon and that could also be good reasoning with using whips as they deal summon damage
Whips are definitely the best at this niche, especially with obsidian armor, which increases their range. However, I've also had some success with big swords, big spears, explosive weapons, starfury, chlorophyte saber/partisan, and the toxic flask. Weapons with damage over time effects are also useful here, because you might not have the opportunity to hit very often. Cursed inferno and Venom flasks could be really useful, especially because they also apply to whips.
This is actually pretty fun to watch compared to some of the "larger" worlds, if you can even call them that

Good call on journey mode. Just watching this was making me claustrophobic lol. I wouldn’t make it very far in a world like this
“I know, this is a terrible idea, we’re doing it anyway”
What a way to start! I’m not quite sure if it technically counts as a cold open, as you’ve not really got an intro to skip past, and it’s not exactly jumping straight into the meat of the video, and it still serves as an introduction, of sorts, but it at least feels like one, and is highly effective! It at least immediately addresses the major narrative “conflict” or “inciting incident” of the video (and is thus not an introduction that is separate to the production, but is indeed a part of the storyline), so maybe it does count? Idk, if there are any cinematography majors/graduates, I’d like to know what type of introducing/beginning sequence this technically counts as, but regardless, it feels highly effective (at least personally).
Sir this is a Wendy's
This has to be a joke right? Am just dumb right?
Perhaps it's "in medias res"? Since he starts off about how it's a terrible idea, without really saying what the idea is.
@@orestisbe6978 I could definitely see it being that, and the thought came to mind while typing my comment, but I don’t think it is- it doesn’t start “in the middle” of the story, it still starts more or less at the beginning
@@jclorcan08 Nope, it’s not a joke- I just don’t know if the opening of the video technically falls into the category of a “cold open” or not, but nonetheless thought the starting line was… I’m not quite sure? “Punch-y,” for lack of a better term, it made a strong impact and was comedically sound (in my opinion, anyway)

The only issue with that is that plantera needs underground jungle and wall of flesh needs hell, and I don't know if there's any room for overlap
What about a world where the biomes and points of interest are contained in small spaces scattered throught the world this spaces then are joined tight tunnels

MOLE WORLD
@@thegoodguy2381 kind of?
I remember a Minecraft mod like that. Can't remember the name. Oldddd mod tho
Interesting to see. Since you went diagonal in order to fit a narrower world, when I saw the thumbnail I'd've assumes the world would turn corners at intervals. Turning the world into more of a squarish zig-zag that maybe went 100 blocks down (3 wide), 100 blocks left (3 tall), 100 down, 100 right, 100 down ect ect. That would certainly be do-able, if extremely awkward to navigate!
A labyrinth world could be pretty interesting. Perhaps the entire world fits on screen, but it's built in a maze-like way so you have to navigate these corridors that are only a few blocks wide.
@@Greywander87 yoo that's mega cool!
You know it's gonna be a great video when not even a second in and they say "it's a terrible idea, but we're doing it anyways"
I think zoomed in looks a bit better, but zoomed out is probably far more playable.
you could do this challenge differently by not locking your movement to 3 blocks, but only your blocks. so youd use bubble blocks for walls instead, and the outside would be empty.
alternatively, you could expand your world by making SEVERAL 3-wide pillars, where each one is accessible through a teleporter at the bottom of the world.
1.5D world. Now that is interesting
I believe you can still use the flower boots for farming, but to have the same chances for getting bait as usual, you would need to take them off.
could you just do that in multiplayer then?
one person spawns the grass with boots
and the other destroys it with flares?
I need to test that

Love the ever decreasing world size challenges, always entertaining to watch! Something interesting that I found out while making a Eater arena in the underground corruption is that you can actually block swap the blocks under a demon altar, platforms being one of the possibilities. This would allow you to progress past the demon altar that is in the way without needing to break it. Not sure if anybody mentioned this yet, couldn't seem to find a comment about it, so I hope this helps!
Honestly I love watching your cursed terraria playthroughs especially you claustrophobia ones. I think a lot of us would agree with me that that would be awesome for you to continue these types of challenges and finish this one up.

Can you do a play through where bosses don’t drop items. Basically removing farming bosses and making progression harder. And making the items exclusive to boss drops into craftable items or world loot would mean you could still progress.

Next video: Beating Terraria but there is no world
Oh... Pushing it to the logical limit. This is looking really fascinating. Happy New Year to you as well \o/
Journey Mode is one of my absolute favorite things in Terraria. It allows you to experiment with things that in a normal world would just feel like: "But that's a waste..". It allows you to flip flop between various builds for a character - while still feeling like you had to earn all these things by acquiring a sufficient amount of resources to duplicate them in the first place. It's just overall awesome, and a surprising amount of people think it's just "a difficulty below Classic", when it's so much more. Can't blame them for thinking that way either, since it's not made particularly clear ingame
An interesting part to me is, that if you use the highest difficulty in a Journey-world, it actually is a higher difficulty than a "Master Mode" world. More enemy health at least, and I'm reasonably sure more enemy damage as well.
If you put the cursor of difficulty right below mastermode difficulty, you get the enemies buffed like in mastermode, but you don't have the extra accessory slot, or defence boost, to get really a difficulty harder than Mastermode...
@@SuperSonic777 Oh, interesting - do you happen to know the exact number on the slider to make the numbers line up with Master Mode? That would help a lot with testing stuff ^^
@@DonYagamoth so, for mastermode, the slider need to be on x3,00 , the color of the slider will also turn red, and , to make it harder mastermode, you need to put the slider on x2,95 , and you will see that you don't have the extra accessory slot
7:25 I'm not sure why but there is something I cannot get over about the fact that a snail shows up on the screen and you zoom in and drop everything you're doing to stare at it. "There's a snail. Which is great news."

I love that you switched to the honeyhive Galaxy theme when flighting queen bee 😂
And the legend attempts another daring challenge! I really loved your last series
Something noteworthy (which I’ll see if you mention or not in the video soon, as you mentioned needing 25 more or to dupe at 9:15) is that duping lead bars actually takes less lead than duping lead ore, as all ores (iirc) take 100 to duplicate, and all metal bars take 25 to duplicate- however, with lower tier ores like lead, each bar only takes three ore to craft, where as most bars take 4 ore to craft (I believe the remaining pre-hardmode one’s of higher tier than lead do, excepting meteorite and hellstone). So, for most lower tier ores, it ends up being cheaper to dupe the bars. You do lose out on the ability to make infinite ore bricks of that type, but you don’t exactly have room to build much anyway. The only ore that actually takes more to dupe when made into bars (again, if I recall correctly) is chlorophyte, which takes 100 ore to dupe, but would take 125 ore to dupe if first made into bars
honestly, seeing the unique boss patterns for this is the best part. I'd be interested just to see what is possible for the rest of the game
I love this so much, please keep posting

10:47 I'm unclear on the exact nature of this bug, but it's caused by NPCs falling into the void without dying properly. It's inconsistent even in skyblock, which is where it's most likely to occur, and I know one guy who has been trying to replicate it on his end so he can test out more options for preventing it.
One option for preventing it: place lava boundaries at the bottom of the world around 90 blocks wide in either direction.
