A series of these commanders would be awesome! This is exactly the kind of video I’ve been wanting from commander creators
Noted! 👀
I used to run a Goreclaw deck, and it was shocking how well it stomps. There are a ton of creatures that are dumb with a 2 mana cost reduction.
My latest favorite deck is my Kykar 99%creatureless vehicles deck! Load it up with token generators like sharknado, sahili planswalkers, and thopter spy network, and then watch all this spirits and servos remote control pilot those big beefy vehicles! Getting to pull of the Mechtitan is an absolute blast. 💪
Thanks so much for making a budget video. I’ve really changed my mindset about building budget decks in the last year. So much fun!
With Urza Chief Artificier, lots of equipments (5:25) and Angel of Invention are lovely
Honest Rutstein .. Bramble Sovereign is a lovely addition!
Kykar ... some Feather-like effects are BOMBS
I have loved all your videos recently. Y’all have been KILLING IT!
I like this format for discussing budget decks!
Urza is a great one IMO because you can build it really cheap (and they printed all those nice old border versions of budget cards in the precon), but if you have a few fancy artifacts sitting around or wanna buy one, there are plenty of ways to bling it up. I grabbed a Wanderglyph on your suggestion for mine.
Lagomos is really cool, he’s one of my favorite creatures to find in my Caesar deck. I could see building around him for aristocrats.
I run Wanderglyph in Urza and its absolutely disgusting. Any of the Dr. Who artifact creatures with myriad are also very good - extra funny when Auton Solider copies a Dockside when you have a bunch of karnstructs out....
Awesome video, you guys are so awesome. Just gotta say you guys are so lucky to have found each other, the synergy is not just in your deck building.
Please make more of these videos! I have loved brewing up super budget decks recently, it’s a lot of fun. Also a video about tips on how to find cards on a big budget (like for a $10-25 deck) that fit a theme could be cool!
I haven’t caught many videos recently, have y’all ever talked about PDH? Goreclaw is a sick commander in that format. I find PDH a very interesting alternative to budget.
Oh thats one i havn't considered before, must have missed the downshift in rarity.
A timely video to enjoy ! Sweet
The Animar build from Commanders Quarters has done pretty well for me.
Goreclaw is my first own build Commander and I love it stil
I recently slapped together a Henzie deck, all creature/land deck; I call it Henzies Hoard. Rutstein, Goreclaw, are great in the deck among many other creatures. The deck feels quite flexible and silly and there is so many creatures out there that you could make this many different ways despite adhering to strictly only creatures and land. I recommend trying it out since the deck can be quite budget friendly and most people have no qualms against a Henzie deck unlike my Korvold deck :P LOL
Loved seeing you guys in the latest "Dance Gavin Dance" music video, was a total surprise!
That was a ton of fun to be a part of! DGD is super nice 😄
Great topic.
I love my Urza deck, his affinity for artifact creatures is so easy to take advantage of I don't run any of the normal protection staples like lightning greaves or swiftfoot boots in the deck, I don't think I've ever paid more than 4 mana to cast him even after paying 4+ for commander tax. Monumental Corruption is another amazing budget card with him, either draw like...5 cards minimum easily or blast someone in the face.
Literally perfect timing, I'm putting together a budget Urza list.
Edit: it was mostly cards from the precon...
I loge me some budget commander and hope to see more content. Personally, my favorite on a budget is phylath, especially for new players, since it rewards playing basic lands
Honest Rutstein+Umori the Collector with 2-drop colourless creatures would be SO cool, even on a budget!
Keep up the budget decks!
sick! powerful commanders, too!
It's funny that I have both a Tawnos (the Urza's precon alt commander) which is pretty much make karnstructs unblockable and a Goreclaw deck already. Great commanders that MAKE you work for that win!
Where do I find the deck build for these? The Goreclaw looks right up my alley!
Yargle and Multani is one of my best decks and my cheapest too at about $250
Just saw a vid from Quest for the Janklord and I was inspired to make a pauper edh deck and I don’t think it gets more budget than having all those commons in the 99 lol
That’s true you can go REALLY cheap while still having a perfectly functional deck
It’s unfortunate that you actually can’t build a deck for $20 on card kingdom because the cheapest they sell a card is $.35. Never understood that. Why would I pay over $10 for 30 basic lands when I can get them for less than $1 from other major online card distributors?
My Urza, Chief Artificer deck probably has the best win percentage of all my decks. It's really resilient against single target removal since there aren't any single big threats, but everything gets big really fast. If they remove my commander I just recast it for 3 almost everytime. Only way to shut it down is with artifact hate cards and board wipes.
Kykar has always been a commander that I've wanted to build around. I just can't wrap my head around jeskai decks
I guessed where the moxfield add is :D
LIAR!
@@NitpickingNerdsThey didn't say they guessed correctly, just that they guessed lol.
15:37 is the guess today also I would like to mentón I built a Yarok Dungeons deck that you guys recomended a while ago and it has been super fun.
Mia has loved her Yarok dungeon deck too, it’s pretty strong
Speaking of budget have you done much with pedh? It's a great format
I like ultra budget deck restrictions and all but it's a feel bad moment when the sleeves cost more than the deck. And before anyone says don't sleeve them, I am not a barbarian.
Do you speak greek??
Thats actually my goal😂
Ill get custom dragon shield sleeves that outvalue the poop i put inside them
LMAO Nasty Terasty! Love it!
One of the best nicknames 👌🏻
Personally i like vicon as budget (and for my taste more fitting powerlevel-wise) version of meren.
Is it bad that I had to stop to check if I planned to put goreclaw in the Ayula deck I'm considering building? I'm fairly certain the krenko deck I have is stacked with great goblins but I'm far less of an expert on bears.
Krenko makes goblins?
Btw Akul the unrepentant is 100% an auto-include for Lagomos
Still watching but the budget commander im building next is krenkoooo. so ready for the flood of gobbos
Urza Chief Artificer is BUSTED! He's just too damn good especially in a low budget meta
He’s so annoying! In a good way lol
@@NitpickingNerds he's just not interactable. most board wipes don't hit your stuff and you can get your commander out for nearly nothing. it's crazy good
Who would win? A collector box or 100 decks?
great video as always but it has to be said: the sponsorship intros are top tier. "good sleeves". dragon shield better pay good money.
Feather is really budget-friendly.
Goreclaw… a classic Joe Cherries deck 🍒
I bought a revised Underground Sea today, that is all.
Nice
I need to know who coined "Dad Bod Urza"
You know what deck they really need to build
Grave Titan?
BUDGET BOOOOOMBS!!!!
I always profess the sheer stupidity of Ojer Axonil, buildable for 29€ and capable of dealing concerning ammounts of damage
Came for my obligatory real money tax dollars comment until I heard that fantastic spongebob reference that I haven’t heard in far too long. Ah that’s good stuff
In before I know what I didn't know.
9:45
Rakdos sacrifice? You mean Sacdos?
I have called it that once or twice recently
Why do they say "karnstructs"?
The first card to ever create a “0/0 construct that gets +1/+1 for each artifact you control” was Karn, Scion of Urza, so people just abbreviated it!
👻
AH
No views in 14s. Nerds fell off
😭😭😭 RIP
So sick of seeing this joke on every channel I watch 🙄
@@brendanleuthner4851no directed replies in 1 hour. Brendan fell off.
@@dapperpotatoes8473 Nice one 👍 lmao
@@brendanleuthner4851this is the first time I've seen it, spend less time online 😂
graveyard decks are boooring… it gets worse when you play graf cage and people cry over it 😂😂
I made a Goreclaw stompy deck while trying to figure out which mono green commander I wanted, it was VERY powerful and fairly cheap. Add in a bunch of "play big creature, draw a card" effects and the deck is very hard to stop once the ball gets rolling.
