Tested it out. The discovery page shows you members and monthly fee of groups. However, as a group owner you get two different links - one for inviting people for free and another one for taking people to the payment. Most people would do the math and assume all members are paid, which isn't the case. So i think the revenue of the communities are inflated (its a low key selling tactic).
I was excited to join as I joined yesterday as a Plan B but after viewing this, Im back with Plan A. My issue is coding to create automated emails but I'll figure that out versus paying $99 when I don't have incoming revenue/profits yet. Just starting out. Thanks for sharing on your experience!
Much success to you. I'm just starting out on the platform & launching my self care community as paid. I just started promoting today and have 3 subscribers at 1 buck a month for all those who join until I decide to raise the investment. Do I have $99 to dish out to use the patform? Nope, however this is my motivation to work my hard to promote organically and not letting it discourage me from moving forward. I want to encourage you no matter what you decide to do go hard with it for atleast 90 days. If after that you don't see upward progress by all means pivot.
Interesting, but it seems your biggest complain was having a free group, bc it created a lot of noise. Why did you not just create a paid skool group to get rid of the low value? That is what you did on GHL anyway.. Is this really a fair comparison?
My business is on GHL, I love GHL, and I don't plan on ever switching over to Skool. But this video seemed oddly biased against Skool. There are some things that Skool simply does better. Why would you compare a paid GHL community to a free Skool community? I like your content as a fellow GHL user, but the bias against Skool is a bit strange.
I understand the power of building a community, but why specifically use Skool for that? All features of Skool can be integrated to my own website with a single wordpress plug-in without paying $99 a month. Any opinion?
Thank you for this I have a GHL and I was trying to decide if I needed to do Skool to but I wanted a all in one hub! You've confirmed that I can do everything GHL.
Keaton, thanks so much for sharing this. I have my guitar courses on Kajabi but have a Patreon to provide tabs and tracks for my monthly RUclips lessons. I was considering Skool but man, when you mentioned all the spam, DMs, and posts...that's a turn-off. It seems it would be creating way more work!
Yo I was about to drop everything and start my own skool platform after thinking I was being left behind. I've been disliking the platform for a while especially because of this get rich quick culture that has come along with the skool games challenge. All these "communities" just trying to squeeze the highest dollar out of their audience + the noisiness of the platform really turned me off but I was finally ready to cave because of how well it integrates community, events, and courses. You just blew my mind. I had no idea GHL was making their own version and I've been wanting to find a reason to invest in that software for a minute I just couldn't justify the price before because I didn't resonate with being an "Agency Owner" I wasn't trying to offer those type of services at scale. As a community builder, with the potential to grow into an agency owner, thank you! I know how insane the GHL platform is I've worked with many entrepreneurs using it. I even went to a networking event back in 2020 and met the founder and saw the power of the platform up close now I finally have a reason to invest in it myself.
@@ItsKeaton the Communities feature is already out? Do you know if there are any example communities I can ivestigate? I'd like to see it for myself so I can make a final evaluation if I want to use this instead of Skool.
High Level already has the gamification feature and anything else they don't have that Skool does they will within the coming months. I did see that they will be enabling DM's in community within the next week or two but hopefully they make it so you can turn it off if you don't want it as I know spam can get pretty bad in school groups as it is.
I use " Pay on close basis ", " We get paid only when we bring clients.. " In my outreach messages and manage to bring them on call. I find it hard to convince them to Upfront . They say it is said pay on results basis, now it's different. How to modify the outreach message now ? Or How to convince them in call to pay upfront?

Love you Keaton, but you're spreading wrong stuff here! With the new updates in Skool, you need to get to level 2 to access DM feature + You can't DM more than 10-15 people per week!
I’m gonna be honest with you man, it seems like you just didn’t like the work that it took to maintain it and now you’re moving onto other things. That’s no reason to trash the community. That’s kind of a you issue.

would you recommend GHL for communities or going with CC360 or Elite360 which is just GHL with a bunch of stuff prebuilt?
