I just downloaded it cause it was on sale on psn. I have a ps5 and a fanatec csl setup.. And no bullshit I’ve played 2 nights in a row and it’s so much fun! Yes it’s arcade a bit but when you can spin the wheel and drift with such a smooth motion it’s so good! The tracks are built for drifting with a wheel! And the feedback is the best I’ve felt in ps5 so far. It’s a great game if you wanna have fun! A lot of fun!
@@jeffreyvisser8628 yea on the controllers you do have the haptic feedback. It’s pretty cool! It’s like throttle resistance at your finger tips. But no where near as fun as a wheel setup.
Agreed, I ignored the haters and bought the year one edition on psn for 30 dollars and its fantastic. Only other one in this series I've played is dirt rally and its way too much of a sim racer its just not fun, this ones fantastic.

Is anyone else having an issue with the DualSense where the controller makes a clicking noise during gameplay? It's sort of a whoosh almost. Sounds like the plastic inside is having trouble when trying to engage the adaptive triggers.
It's a beautiful game and wows on ps5(I've been playing it about 5 days since I got it)the current patches still have not fixed the frame rate drop here and there which only create a slight discomfort(drop in immersion)but the gameplay,graphics and presentation are top notch and the game is fun. I am really enjoying it. If it didn't have the framerates drop every once in a while this would clearly be a 9.5 and only because race types don't have enough variety to be that much different(like race the same kinda race but with a different car?)I don't mind it cuz it is pure arcade racing fun but it's still a valid point.
@@joshuaschmidinger3993 how frequent are frame drops? I have the game already on XSX and I like it a lot, I very rarely have frame drops and they are heavily mitigated by variable refresh rate support. Really wanted to try it out also on PS5 for dual sense and seemingly a bit better visuals and contrast.
@@BioFrost the haptic feedback and triggers are a game changer on ps5(especially when used to their full potential)in dirt 5 it simulates the gas and brake pedals and is a super cool and realistic feel that helps to immerse you into the car and environment. Like you actually feel the resistence of the pedal and then when you go over rocky Terrian you feel it while holding the gas and break. This is truly a next gen experience.(did forget to mention this)some games just don't take advantage of it(like assassians creed valhalla, still a great game but when you see what they can do with a bow and arrow in astro's playroom and then them not do that in ac valhalla...it is disappointing)but I digress 😊 the framerate drop is like I said here and there. Sometimes it doesn't happen in a race(like the ice breaker one on roosevelt island)but then it happens when all the cars are together on another map like Italy? It's not that the system can't handle it and the ps4 version doesn't have this problem? It's like the programming is funky(and this is in either mode, visual or framerate?)I believe it can be fixed with a patch and wonder why it hasn't been done yet?(maybe they were off for Christmas break)it is a very small problem and in my option does not make the game bad(I love the game and white knuckle arcade racing, I miss motorstorn so much and this feels so much like it...except it has walls 😎)so it happens in some races a couple times and others not at all? I just think it is a coding issue and weirder still, it was in the game when it was reviewed and the offical playstaion magazine gave it an 8 cuz of it cuz the ps4 version scored higher even though the visuals are better on ps5(amazing I would say in motion, like the rain and snow and the way the track changes each lap etc. Wow)sorry for going on and on, you just got me thinking about how impressed I am with this game and how much fun it is despite this minor hiccup(it doesn't add up but doesn't hurt the game that much and it should be fixed soon I imagine)
@@joshuaschmidinger3993 I eventually decided to get it. Yes, it has many more frame drops and bugs than the Xbox version, but what a treat with the DualSense! Also, they acknowledge the issues and will fix soon. I'm really enjoying it on PS5! Only complain is that the haptic feedback is kind of modest - I do love the adaptive thriggers though
Game runs like absolute trash on PS5 and ps4 pro ever since 2.0 update and yet codemasters knows and dose nothing to fix it. I platinumed and uninstalled.

Does the triggers effect as well? Like rainbow six siege the triggers effect depending on the weapons
